Our concentration is on large custom installations, be it for home theater or commercial use. Our technicians focus on installing an excellent product to bring a clean, professional look to your custom design.

Custom low voltage and electrical design, installation, and programming. We specialize in home automation (both Crestron and Lutron), access control, lighting control, shade control, phone and data networks, home theater, whole house audio, and surveillance systems.

History

Established in 2004.

We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured C7 and C10 design and installation firm based in the South Bay. We have completed more than 1500 commercial and residential projects since our start. We are experienced with delivering all phases of a project — from initial design and planning through prewire and equipment installation as well as post implementation technical support.

We’ve worked on everything from small remodeling projects up to large commercial office building construction and are comfortable with spec or custom development and range between $ 3K to $ 900K.

The founder spent the previous 16 years working as a technology and business advisory consultant, starting at Oracle Corporation in 1988. He has a dual degree (BA and MA in Organizational Behavior) from Stanford University.

Business Owner

I started A Sharper Home, Inc. in 2004. I spent the previous 16 years working as a technology and business advisory consultant, starting in the International finance group at Oracle Corporation in 1988 and culminating as VP of Services for Cacheon (software company that had created a cloud operating system). I am a dual degree Stanford graduate (BA and MA in Organizational Behavior with an emphasis on computing systems). I and my family have lived in the South Bay for the past 16 years.
