So to be fair… there is not much choices in the Yosemite Valley area(food and lodging). This place would only be(at best) 3 stars if it was in a metro area, but given choices, I think the quality/price is one of the best choices. Rooms are nice(having a small kitchen really helps) and the restaurant was good for $. 15 min drive to Yosemite Valley and 45 – 50 min drive to Badger Pass sure beats the alternative long commutes from Mariposa, Oak Grove or the Wawona lodging options.

Pool jacuzzi… would have been better with a gym. a no frill place complete with a kitchenette. cellphone range or the lack thereof is my major complaint

Average at best. The only reason it got a 3 and not a 2 is because our bartender/server was very nice! The food is mediocre. The atmosphere was nice. We watching the packers Falcons game! The salad bar is very very basic. I’m guessing a lot of people don’t eat it. The food is wayyyy over priced! 21 for chicken Marsala when it’s a little piece and some rice? Chicken wings 9 bucks for 7 wings? They were previously frozen:(… I wouldn’t come back here. Sad because with the right food and prices I am guessing this place would rock!

My family ate here while we were staying here. I wasn’t expecting much, but the steak was delicious. Was a bit put off that they sat us, then moved us, but the rest of the night went off without a hitch.

This review is for the restaurant, the lounge when I peeked in was a decent size but gets filled quickly, you can order from the pizza place next door if you feel like you want a bite while drinking, at least was told by the host at the restaurant at dinner time on a Friday Night. As for the restaurant, I decided to try their breakfast buffet the next day for $ 10.99 which included a nice spread of bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, French toast, fruit, cereals and pastries. The coffee and water is included but the orange juice and milk are paid separately. Staff was nice even at 10am, half a hour before buffet was over, there was plenty of food left over even after 10:45am when we walked out. We were greeted and waited on in a great manner, I hope to return and have a good healthy or hardy meal next time I find my way through here.

6÷28÷2013 — We were looking to have a good diner after a day of exploring Yosemite. The waitress was distracted and not paying much attention to detail with the order. The server brough our drinls to us then left. After three other families that came into the restaurant after we were seated were served their diner we complained to the lead hostess as to why our diner order had not been brought to us. The hostess said that our order would be right out(took about 25 minutes). Seems that our waitress did not actually submit our order. Two out of three of the diners were correct and one completely wrong. A flat iron steak was provided in place of prime rib. The lead hostess adjusted the order taking the price of the staek off the bill. The hostess said she was compimg the prime rib and drinks as well. The other diners were poorly cooked and cause one of us to get sick. Everthing was overdone and mushy. The items that were supposed to be comped were not. The whole ordeal was very stressful and diner was ruined. For the prices they were charging we should have not had any problems with diner. We should have been given been given a 50% discount on the bill for the lack of attention to detail and service.

I wouldn’t count on this being the primary meal place when coming to the area. We ate here once for breakfast and that was it. We couldn’t order whatever we wanted they had buffet only. For the money it was the saddest breakfast buffet I’ve seen in a long time. The egg and pancake trays were completely empty. Salsa was gone… potatoes looked picked over. Everything looked horrible. Although the servers were nice enough, even the service was not that great. The coffee was some cheap type that tasted horrible. It was pricey for this breakfast thing that was less than satisfactory.

We stayed at the lode on premises. When we checked in we got a coupon for a free appetizer with any entrée so decided we would check it out. Was so not worth anything free. They should have paid me to eat that crap. The food was frozen reheated and microwaved. The waiter was poorly trained and kept forgetting us. And it was over priced! Save yourself the heartburn and bring your own food or eat in the park.

OMGDONOTEATHERE!!! even if the front desk gives you vouchers with your Living Social Deal for a free appetizer! Just don’t! My boyfriend and I left Sacramento a little later than I would have liked and by the time we rolled into the hotel for check-in I was starving so we thought we would grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. There was nothing to eat for about 30 miles each way and we assumed everything inside Yosemite park would be closed, so we figured it was this or scrounging around in the gift shop for some top-ramen or something else equally unappetizing. We should have just went with the top ramen :-/. Here’s why– The menu was hideously over-priced and my boyfriend and I were both on a budget. We nearly gasped when we saw the menu and realized that everything was about $ 20 on average. Luckily we found a hamburger for $ 14. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes for the hamburger and it wasn’t even that busy. The waiter didn’t even apologize. When the food arrived it was both cold AND burned. I was hungry so I attempted to eat it anyway. The meat was dry and burned. The fries tasted like something you’d buy from the frozen section in the grocery store and that was also burned and cold. The cold slaw was flavorless. I ate about 1⁄3 of my food before I decided that I couldn’t take it anymore. The waiter didn’t even bother asking how the food was until we were finished. I politely said«it was okay». To add salt to my wounds, he responded«just okay?». It took every ounce of strength I had left after my crazy 4 hour drive not to tell the jerk off. I had seriously had better quality food from a fast food place or even Dennys. I’m just glad I didn’t waste $ 20 on the food– we went outside to see if the pizza place next door was going to be open the next day when this family started talking to us. Apparently they had tried the $ 16 fish and chips and said it was like something out of a box of Gorton’s or something equally horrendous. For $ 16 i could have bought the Costco pack and had fish sticks for like a whole month! This restaurant SERIOUSLYNEEDSTOSTOPPRETENDINGTOBENICEBECAUSEITISSONOT! It’s like Dennys or a truck stop diner put white linen napkins and nice silverware on their tables and dressed their staff up while serving the same bad food.

Terrible. We ordered various things for dinner from burgers to a curry. Not one of the four people at our table was happy with their meal. The veggies all tasted like they were frozen, I have no idea what the hell their«curry» actually was, and the burgers seemed to be lower quality than frozen patties from Costco. If you’re hungry and you’re right here, go to the pizza place next door, it’s decent. This place is insanely expensive for terrible food. The one upside The waitress was very pleasant and took one of the meals off of our check(and didn’t seem surprised at all by our lack of satisfaction with the food…)

A bit expensive for what you get and long waits in the busy season. But, location, location, location.
