Unfortunately this Walmart’s customers make very little effort to dispel the stereotypes of what shopping at Walmart is like, and that bothers me because I shop at Walmart and hate it when people generalize and ridicule its shoppers. I found myself in the area for work and decided to stop by and pick up some items I needed during my lunchtime, I figured, ‘hey, its a Neighborhood Market Walmart, I should be in and out in 15 minutes(that’s what she said),’ and boy was I wrong! Started with some moron driver not respecting the crosswalk and almost running me over, because speeding in parking lots means you’re really tough. Then inside was full of people wandering aimlessly and obstructing the aisles, then one of these geniuses spills cooking oil all over, making the ONE aisle I needed inaccessible while they cleaned up, and because it was oil, cleanup took more than 20 minutes. So I don’t get most of what I came for, and I headed over to the checkout, and it was just my luck that the lady in front of me was price matching, haggling, and feigning confusion over the prices of just about everything she was buying. Upset, I left that line and got in one with 3 people ahead of me, and I kid you not, I was checked out before the lady at my original line was. To their credit, most of the employees were in a helpful disposition, the store was well stocked in the areas I could access, and the prices were very good. It’s mostly not the store’s fault that the shopping experience here is awful, and they’re obviously not hurting for business, but this Walmart isn’t for me.

It’s Walmart! I will say Walmart does a great job of keeping their stores standard. I prefer this Neighborhood Walmart to your norm Walmart because there are virtually no lines(or very short ones… hey, I said virtually). If you don’t know the difference between a regular Walmart and a Neighborhood Walmart, it’s simple… the Neighborhood is just a grocery store. So you get the same low prices without the hassle of being distracted by cheap Samsung TVs and other stuff you don’t need.

Unlike the other Wal Mart, this one has about 900 less visitors at any given time. It is still Wal-Mart and one of a handful of places to shop in the Lower Valley.
