Incredible flavored! We tried the lean and moist brisket and they were both delightful!

We were told by several people that we had to try this while in Texas. It turns out it was across the parking lot from our hotel, so convenient. I must say that walking up to a place to eat that had its own gas station was slightly off-putting, but since we were told by multiple people to try this place we didn’t let that stop us. My husband and I both had the beef brisket sandwich and it was really good! The sandwhiches don’t come with a side so those are an extra charge, but overall not a bad value. The meat was tender and tasted great. The bbq sauce comes on the side and has a little kick to it, but it was good too. I would definitely recommend this place to people. Lots of good beer choices too! Not a lot of atmosphere in this location, but we came for the food not the ambience.

It’s my first time here and I wanted to see what classics they have available. They have a variety of meats like Sausage, Turkey, Ribs, Pulled Pork etc etc. However I wish they had more options for side dishes! I do recommend the green chili stew… It’s hardy and perfect amount of spicy from the green chile.

It’s good BBQ. Not great BBQ. With that being said, I love the pulled pork sandwiches here and the homemade BBQ sauce on the tables. You can put as much or as little sauce as you want and the 2 sauce choices are really good. The sweet tea is on point too. What keeps me coming back to this place… the breakfast tacos! I love the jalapeño sausage and eggs tacos for $ 1.75 each! Don’t forget to flash your military ID for another 10% off! I here one day a week they do 20% but haven’t caught it yet!

I’ve been to Rudy’s a few times and it’s always a quick service! I like this one, due to it having more seats available for my friends and I. Customer service was great and the environment was clean! Tables were wiped and they were stocked with condiments. Must try their Cream of corn! Oh my goodness. Deliciousness in a cup! Lol. I’m actually obsessed with this item. I always get it. it’s awesome they have a gas station and snack shop inside, really helpful for those traveling through. :)

It took me a while to like BBQ but when i did acquire a taste for it one of my friends was working here and he always brought me different cuts and meats to try. Since then it is one of the best meals i sit down to eat at a restaurant. The environment in here is so unique with a lot of the Texas décor i love. The smell of course always helps with your hunger as soon as you park. I will always marvel at the huge drink coolers full of beer, sodas, and most importantly ice. I always order a half pound of cutter’s choice, a turkey sandwich, and a Shiner. Sometimes i add a corn on the cob when i feel like exploding out of my pants. Make sure to always have around 17 napkins per person to cover the sloppy eating required to enjoy this BBQ. The picnic tables add a lot of character to the place and it allows for multiple people to sit together and even enough space to lay out all your chosen meats and sides. I like that most of what you order here is measured by the pound for sharing basically. You can always choose multiple items and share amongst your mates. This place doesn’t require much customer service than the cashiers when you order which are always really nice. Other than that there are signs all over the restaurant that remind you«clean up after yourselves, we are not your mother». Texas!

YUM!!! Best damn place I’ve ever eaten! Great service, touristy souvenirs, BEER&MEAT!!! Cool environment, they even have a drive thru!!! I tried the turkey, brisket, pulled pork, chocolate pudding and the corn on the cob. I loved all of it! The corn was a bit overcooked but I can’t even tell you how little that bothered me. Everything was so good I could’ve only eaten meat and been 100% satisfied! I can’t wait to come back. The sweet tea was amazing also! The environment was laid back, picnic style dining was cool but they also had patio seating to look over the mountains of you don’t like people haha. We weren’t bothered by overly helpful staff or anything like that either. COMEGETSOME, TEXAS!!!

I liked the fact they weigh out the bbq! I had the baby back ribs and they are fall off the bone tender. I didn’t care for the seasoning on them a little too much pepper for my taste, I’m more of a sweet sauce kind of person. Their cream soda was amazing! They also give you a sample of the brisket and turkey, the brisket was awesome if you like a good smokey flavor!

Again, I wish there was a 3.5 star. It was better than 3, but not quite worthy of a 4. The food was good and the staff was super happy and helpful, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. The flavors were worth the price, and the prices are very affordable, which in a way, is really nice. I’d definitely go back if I was craving BBQ in a hurry, but not where I’d take my visiting family for dinner.

Wow, we just moved here from Chicago, & this is the best barbecue we’ve eaten in El Paso thus far. Now, it’s not a place you’d bring your first date, but the meat is wonderfully delicious. Since this was my first time there, they gave me samples to try. The turkey melts in your mouth, and the beef brisket is so moist! Next time, I’ll try the ribs. You pick your sides from a cooler. They wrap your meat in white deli paper. All is served in an industrial heavy plastic bread carrier. Your fixin’s are on a table, of which you get to choose from, in front of the self-serve soda machines. You then eat on picnic tables! Definitely we’ll bring al our out-of-town guests here! Oh, & you can fill your tank up with gas!

A big shout out to my Unilocal friend, Anthony S. for recommending Rudy’s to us! When we spoke with him, we had no idea we’d be driving across the country so soon! So, we stopped at the first one we saw! It is right off the I-10! The view of the mountains across the way are pretty to look at! The seating consists of long rows of tables with red & white vinyl tablecloths and folding metal chairs. There are cool signs everywhere. The best one was«Your mother is not here, please clean your own mess».( ) We ordered a breakfast taco to eat there. It was ok. There are a lot of condiments you can grab. There’s a Rudy’s Sissy«Sause» and a spicier one called Rudy’s Original«Sause». You can either walk in and pick up a pre-assembled ready-to-go taco, or go to the counter and order one. We also got some brisket and a banana pudding to-go. I must tell you that the brisket is a must try item! It was really smoky and tender! Since we were on a road trip, a trip to the restroom was in order. The stalls consist of what looks like roofing aluminum panels.( ) And a super cool feature is the footpull at the bottom of the door. You use your boot(or shoe) to pull the door open as opposed to opening the door with your hand.( ) Keeps germs to a minimum! They have a trough of sinks for handwashing only. When you eat BBQ, it is difficult to keep clean! This is a great idea!( ) I find it amusing that their paper towels are labeled as «Napkins» in that area! All in all, it was a great experience! Welcome to Texas! The next time we drive to/through Texas, we hope to arrive at lunch or dinner time! I am sure there are many other things that are good options to try when we make it back!

Great food, good BBQ atmosphere! We had the brisket and it was pretty good for a roadside diner. They have tons of TVs to watch sports which is s big plus! Lastly the a la carte menu options is awesome, if I don’t want corn, don’t give me the corn. The place is not cheap but by no means too expensive for good BBQ. I recommend stopping by.

Rudy’s is safe, right? The locals out here have told me to stay away from Rudy’s if I’m looking for great Texas BBQ. Well now, that wasn’t what I was looking for when I found myself at Rudy’s. First of all, Rudy’s is located right next door to my hotel. Second, I wasn’t looking for taste. I just wanted some protein to keep my macros in line. And third, Rudy’s is dirt cheap. Where else can you find a half pound of beef briskets for less than $ 8? Or, a half chicken for less than $ 6. You can find it here and it’s wasn’t bad at all. I didn’t think the chicken was all that, but the beef briskets were pretty good. I ended up getting 2 pounds of their briskets. No, I didn’t eat all of this in one sitting. I figured that it could be meals #2, #3, and #4 for the following day. Inside a Rudy’s is pretty much what you expect to see… picnic style benches with checkered red/white table cloths. Overall, I don’t regret my visit at Rudy’s. I thought that the food was okay and good enough if you’re just looking to get the calories and protein in.

My husband and I were starving after shopping at the outlet. I went on Unilocal to see if there’s a good place close to our location and Rudy’s was the very first that came up so we decided BBQ it is and we are so glad we did! Decent price, good ambience and amazing food. We came back 3 times already within the past couple of weeks. I have never had anything I didn’t like. My husband loves the brisket and I love love the smoked potato! It’s the bomb!

Once upon a time there was a young track runner that couldn’t be told anything by her track coach without fear of her biting off his head. Unfortunately that young track runner was me, but eventually I grew out of that awful phase of my life and luckily my former high school track coach still had the same number. So I tracked him down(text him) and invited him for coffee. To my surprise, he wasn’t opposed to coffee with the pitbull of the class of ’09 and we’ve been catching up periodically ever since. After a three month socialite hiatus, I realized I hadn’t seen good ‘ol Coach in that whole time. So I sent over a text and violá! he sent a message asking about specifics for lunch. Time? Where? Typically I do well under pressure, but I don’t know what the hell happened and I immediately responded with Rudy’s. I’ve heard really mixed things on Rudy’s and had the expectation of a McDonalds equivalent. What I actually experienced was so much better. It’s like a church picnic, but I don’t know anyone and the pastor is MIA. If you sit at the bench seating, you’ll be gathering with other Rudy lovers… but you can always sit in the patio area to get a bench to yourself. I’m a huge fan of the moist brisket with the Rudy’s sauce. If you’re like Coach and watching you’re figure, go for the lean(which he devoured in a matter of minutes). For me, the sides are nothing special, but they do tie the meal together well. This Rudy’s may be added to future outings because I really am sold on this BBQ!
