Came here on a weekday. The food was okey. Our server was very attentive which was awesome. The big downside is that in order to get ice cream during the weekdays you gotta ask your server. Not happy about asking for something when your in a buffet setting, especially ice cream. I love ice cream and i want to be able to enjoy more than one serving without having to ask the server for it.

I do not and will not recommend !! Same old boring Chinese food made half fast. It was greasy. It was plain with little flavor. It was soooo crowded! They have the tables so close together… It was not pleasant. Boring desert options. I will never go back.

As buffet food goes they’re all about a three star. I look for cleanliness, variety, and quality for a difference. Lin’s waiters are attentive without being intrusive. I enjoy that they have crawdads, steaks, enchilades, sweet potatoes, and a chocolate fountain. They also have the usual fare; mongolian bbq, stuffed jalapenos, chinese food, and salad, desert bars. The décor is very pleasant and right now they have a 20% dicount on lunch and dinner!

This place had a clean environment outside and in. The buffet had a variety of food. They also had sushi which was decent. Pretty good considering the price. Dessert is just like any other Chinese buffet(cake, fruit, jello). Clean bathrooms Only downside is the grill. There was one guy there but he wasn’t very helpful.

Tried Lin’s on gateway wanted something different then Grand China on the west side. The one up on Zaragosa is pretty good, however this location needs a little help. First the real bright spot was our server. Paty was attentive to all our needs. The buffet was mediocre at best. Food was not plentiful and some of the choices were very old. The worse part was the restrooms. Filthy was an understatement. Won’t be going back. Three stars was for the service. One star would fit the food and cleanliness. Now I know why it was half full and they ate offering 20% off.

It was good a solid Chinese buffet. Fresh food clean and tasty. I was a little disappointed no one was at the steak or Mongolian stations so I didn’t try that but maybe next it will be available.

I arrived at Lins at 430. The lo mein was undercooked hard tasted old, the breaded shrimp with bread no shrimp, the rice noodles were salty cold and overcooked. The Mongolian bar meets shrimp chicken beef pork was nowhere near 40 degrees temperature thats why nobody was getting the Mongolian bar, take cook on the Mongolian grill area was cleaning his line and picked up the vegetables off the side of the line and thrown back into the pan, I looked at him he stared at me I stared back at him like really are you going to just clean it and throw it back into the pan. So at promptly five o clock pm they brought all the food and discarded all the old food from lunch, which leads me to believe that that food on the line since it was slow with sitting out there long over 90 minutes. Ayear ago we ate dinner there it was amazing now it’s horrible actually horrid. Use caution when approaching this restaurant your best bet for a better opportunity meal would be about 515 to 530, good luck everyone

The décor was very nice but all the food tasted like it had been sitting out for far too long. The sushi was ok but had a stale taste to it. It was ok but I won’t go back.

I have eaten here plenty of times the food is okay however today I took my mom there spent $ 45 and my mom had a hair in her food(GroSS). We called the manager over and all he did was take the plate and said sorry. That is not acceptable so I will not be going there again!

As our lunch hours are usually not quite that long, we regularly go to eateries which have already prepared food. My problem, of course, is that it is buffet/smörgåsbord so I tend to overeat. Arly was running the freshest cooked mongolian grill inside, and that is always the best; I often add a few items from the buffet side. I’ve gotten a bit more particular about what I put down my gullet these days – less sugar/laden products(how can one get away from that?) more protein/legume/fruits, etc. What I like about Lin’s is(not only all-I-can-eat) the variety, especially the shrimp. This is the smaller variety, and when I consume the carapace & all, no violent disturbance occurs in my belly.(Which is what happened when I ate extra large prawn in Venice, Italia, 2004; I was up most of the night retching! But you can read about that in my 3rd book: La Familia Hayburg: On the Opposite Side of the World) Anyway, pleasant waitress Brisa was most attentive, keeping my colleague’s & my water glasses full as well as whisking away empty plates. Our timing was good because it was not packed with people, though had we arrived a few minutes off, no doubt we’d have to wait in line-that’s happened before. I didn’t sample the sushi and numerous other dishes, although I was a bit disappointed to see that the ice cream machine wasn’t operating. Not that I need that, too!!! I enjoyed this eatery and will return in the future.

Best Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to… nationwide. I was passing through El Paso and stopped for lunch here. THERE’S SOMUCHFOOD! Too bad I’m not from around here. I’d go here all the time and get fat.

I like the food and service at this buffett(although I honestly think it’s kind of overpriced, even for El Paso). The sushi is ok, and I really wish their hot and sour soup tasted a bit better. The selection of dishes is good. I just wish they had better desserts. Service is good but you sometimes have to flag waitresses down for refills, etc. The Asian/kitchen/cooking staff is usually very long faced, and in the past they throw plates/empty trays loudly into their little carts. Other than this the ambiance and overall restaurant is very nice.

I’ve been to Lin’s quite a bit and I can say, it stays pretty consistent. My last trip was actually on the most stereotypical day for an American to go… Christmas. On a day like Christmas I don’t have high expectations for service, you know I really don’t even care if the staff smiles at me… I’m part of the reason they can’t spend the day with their family so I think they’re entitled to this one day out of the entire year where they can frown and not work their fastest. Strangely enough, most of the staff at Lin’s was all smiles. They weren’t fast, but one out of two ain’t bad. We waited a few minutes to be seated, but once we were our drink orders were taken. There were actually more people at Lin’s then I expected so most of the food was fresh. The buffet isn’t as big as say Hong Kong Buffet, but it is still pretty sizable. Overall experience was good, no complaints with the staff or food. I did have one moment where I was extremely embarrassed to be among the a-holes eating at a buffet when an extremely rude, elderly lady was so impatient for her steak that she started banging on metal with a knife for about 3 minutes. She was totally out of line, Lin’s had just opened and you could quite audibly here the staff in the back getting a pep talk. It’s fricken Christmas lady, give them a break! Throughout my trip to Lin’s, I had other unpleasant encounters with this lady, but the staff handled her perfectly with a smile.

The best Chinese food and best buffet in El Paso! The food is very tasty, the waitresses are on top everything. Never had an empty drink. The steaks are good. Free Ice cream! For the price too, it’s great, not over prices at all for what u get!

Steak, ribs and ses chicken. Same Dessert like every other chinese buffets and ice cream was melted Sushi: look like crap taste like crap: x Server: where do I begin. Young and pretty. Limited in english. Look kinda of lost. Had to ask for refill a few times. Overall the food was ok. Server was nice but felt like she couldnt handle the crowd.

I really liked Lin’s I ate so much I was full not nauseous full but sated full(its a buffet so l’d advise you to eat as much as you possibly can(;)for at least 4 hours after I ate and yes I’m going back despite the flatulence that was passed behind me while I was trying to eat :/

Not too much to say about this place, the food is pretty much flavorless muck… scratch that there are two flavors if you so choose you can get your muck in sweet or salty. It’s always packed don’t ask me why but alot of the people there seem to be regulars, you can tell just by looking at them if you know what I mean. Brass tacks avoid this place if you care about flavor, or if you are just looking to stuff your face there are better nearby options.

My brother loves Chinese Food! Whenever he comes to SoCal, we go out and have Chinese because it’s his favorite. When I went to visit him, he said he was going to take me to have some Chinese food. El Paso is not known for their cuisine but I was hanging with my bro right? When we got to this place, I was kinda surprised to see that it was a buffet. I thought ‘where the hell is my brother bringing me?’ The host was Mexican, the waiters and waitresses were Mexican and I am pretty sure the cooks were Mexican. I thought I was heading down an unpleasant dive into mediocrity. Was I wrong! The food here is above par for a buffet joint. They had a couple of dishes which I had never seen at an Asian buffet(which this wasn’t, this was a Chinese buffet, big difference). I love to eat, it’s one of my favorite things to do and I have had my share of buffet and promptly ‘pigged’ out but trust me, I have never, ever had 5 plates in one sitting. I wanted to eat everything, some of it twice(or thrice). Put it to you another way… this was the day before Thanksgiving and I couldn’t have much on Thanksgiving because of the fabulous buffet at Lin’s. From now on, my stops will include a stop at Lin’s. Sorry Chico’s Tacos, you may not see me as much anymore… The last thing I wanted to say is that I gave this place 5 stars because it is the best Chinese(or Asian) buffet I have ever had… if I was comparing it to most sit-down Chinese restaurants that I love to go to, this would not have rated that high. My review is based on the fact that it is a buffet, not a Chinese food establishment. If you are looking for some serious Chinese food dining, this would not be it. If you want a good buffet where everyone, including the kids(they had pizza and chicken nuggets and some other kid-friendly items too), then this is the place.

Here’s the Deal: This place gets a 2 star rating NOT because of some health scare. The food here is underwhelming in a place where you cannot afford to be mediocre. East El Paso is littered with Chinese Buffets: Hong Kong, Grand China, Beijing Lilly, et al, all of which have better food!
