The Gallery specializes in local art by popular area artists as well as wide selection of vintage Early El Paso Art; the Gift Shop carries prints, local flavored cards, books, music and more. Gallery Artists featured: Hal Marcus, Natalie Baca, Teresa Fernandez, Mauricio Mora, Daniel Padilla, Friar Vincent Petersen, Krystyna Robbins, Francisco Romero, Bill Sullivan and photographer Mark Paulda and Early El Paso Art by well known local artists such as Manuel Acosta, Jose Cisneros, Tom Lea, Eugene Thurston. The inviting colorful gallery has 2 floors displaying over 2,000 works AND within walking distance of Hal Marcus’ painting studio.
History
Established in 1985.
An artist since age 15, native El Pasoan and local legend Hal Marcus opened his first gallery in his painting studio in 1985, 10 years later he opened his first stand alone gallery in Kern Place, outgrowing the space after 5 years the Gallery moved downtown where it flourished for 10 years before Marcus and his wife & Gallery Director Patricia Medici moved in 2011 to its current location a charming blue house in Sunset Heights. Located across the street from their home, the unique location is surprisingly spacious with 2 floors of art and also provides visitors with the opportunity of meeting Marcus and perhaps getting to see Hal’s painting studio & unique backyard located behind their home.

Manager
Ruben has been the Gallery Manager since 2013, but has a much longer history with the Gallery as he worked with us all through his college years, while earning 2 Degrees! Ruben is a people person and specializes in over the top customer service. Ruben has become an expert on all the artists and artwork carried at the Gallery, as well as what is happening in the El Paso art scene. A native El Pasoan Ruben is fluent in Spanish and English and knowledgeable about all things El Paso.
