Awesome food, astoundingly low prices. It’s incredible what can be done with fresh, simple ingredients. Try the Barbacoa burrito!

Being that I’m Mexican American and my mom has made flautas my whole life, I wasn’t really expecting much. Still, I decided to give this place a try since I had 3 hours before my flight to California. I ordered their Flautas Regulares with their special sour cream on the side. Now normally I would never say anyone’s cooking is better then my moms but in this case, I do have to say these flautas were the best I’ve ever had!(Sorry mom :/if you tried them you would understand) They are right near the airport so if you live in the area or have a little time to spare before your flight you should really check this place out.

I went there during lunch and I was served super fast and the food was great. I had the comida corrida with chicken broth and flautas and they were delicious. To drink I had a large cup of orchata and it was to die for. When I got done with my meal I was absolutely full and there was a lot of my orchata left to go for the rest of the day. This is my special place to go during lunch.

Tucked behind a laundromat, this little hole in the wall was bustling with activity when I came in for lunch. I was greeted kindly and took a table in the corner. Because I was in a bit of a rush I decided to do something simple and ordered a mole plate and a horchata. I came out surprisingly quickly(leading me to believe the sauce had been simmering g for a while and they just added the pulled chicken and heated it up) which was fine because, like I said, I was in a rush. The flavors were decent but not the typical robustness I generally look for in mole. The real winner here is the salsa. Once I tasted the verde I couldn’t help but soak the rest of the plate in it. The perfect combination of heat and flavor working together. Saved the plate in my opinion. I really enjoyed the horchata. My other friends who went here as well thoroughly enjoyed their plates and I’m convinced that I just ordered the wrong thing.

I plugged in ‘Mexican Restaurant near El Paso airport’ — wasn’t expecting anything nearly so good. A little trouble finding it, as it’s around the back, off Airway Blvd. But gosh, worth my two times around the block! Had the chicken mole plate, and was amazed. Quick delivery, beans and rice okay. Waiter recommended the lemonade, which was good but a little sweet. When’s my next flight to ELP???

They aren’t open until 5pm like it says on this app. I went at 4:00pm and it was closed on a Thursday. Looks like info has been updated. Went there for some to go Mexican. It was very good. Pleasant staff. I had some basic fare, tacos and gorditas. It’s worth the trip if you have the time and are in the airport area. It’s tucked behind the lone star laundry facility.

After a horrible experience yesterday at the Boston airport Friendlys Diner(Avoid the $ 16 lobster roll– it’s a small scoop of lobster on a slice of bread), I was relieved to find good affordable food here in Old El Paso. I went with the Unilocalers recommendation of flautas, they were good. Fresh ingredients were used and it makes all the difference. The staff was busy working hard to keep up with the lunch rush– great job.

I loved this place. First time here and I’m sure I’ll be returning. Small hole in the wall type place but food is so good & authentic! Service is awesome and staff was really nice! Make sure to try it if you haven’t or if your in town visiting.

My wife and I were heading home to Phoenix after attending the SXSW festival in Austin TX. We were both craving Mexican food and figured El Paso would not disappoint. After doing a quick search on Unilocal we chose El Taquito. The food and service was outstanding, everything we ordered was so good. I highly recommend this place. It’s a little difficult to find since it was at the end of a strip mall but was well worth it.

You have a choice, spend $ 7-$ 8 at chipotle average antibiotic free food or $ 6 here and get authentic antibiotic fed cuisine. It’s tough, but I decided to go with authentic food and it was great. It gave me the tinglies all over. It’s well hidden you gotta walk by a laundromat and a hairstylist, and you’ll wonder to yourself is it even possible to fit a restaurant back there. Trust me keep walking. Worth the $ 6 spent.

I had a little time before my flight, and Unilocal steered me to El Taquito. The reviews are obviously excellent, so I was expecting a good meal. I ordered what my waiter recommended– the taquitos(or were they flautas?) smothered with creamy chipotle sauce. Upon first bite, I heard myself utter an involuntary expletive. Seriously, 5 stars was not enough to prepare me for how good it was. Unfortunately, I’m rarely in the area during their open hours– but I’ll be returning as often as possible.

We stopped at this wonderful hole in the wall restaurant because of other fantastic reviews! It did not disappoint! The portion sizes are great for a filling lunch! The parking lot is a bit tricky but worth it! Hours are 8:00 — 4:00pm

Me and the squad were passing through El Paso heading to California today and decided to make a stop. The food was very on point, from the rooter to the tooter. Cute vibes all around. I highly recommend the rajas gorditas. Order chips too because they’re made fresh. Great place to drink a Coke.

Small place, crowded even in mid-afternoon. Very fast service, maybe because I ordered the most popular dish which seems to be flautas. Downside is that they were undoubtedly pre-made. Had the first ones listed, with cabbage, crème Chipotle sauce, added rice and beans($ 1 xtra). Good, but nothing to rave about. Lots of food though. Could have been hotter(heat, not spice). Hidden in back of strip mall behind laundromat.

Fantastic chipotle flautas and horchata! I had a little trouble finding it though. It shares the same parking lot as the laundromat, but is hidden all the way at the back of the lot.

Incredible food, wonderful service! A must eat if you’re in this area. We found this gem through a Unilocal search for breakfast since we had time to kill before heading to the airport. We ordered the flautas and huevos rancheros. Loved the friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely everything we read prior to arrival! Excellent overall Mexico cuisine all around experience. «comida mexicana supreme». We will return as often as we pass through El Paso on our travels. Oh, the prices are super reasonable!

We were quickly seated by a friendly waiter who was eager to take our order. The place itself is not anything luxurious or grand, rather just a small restaurant with(very) small tables. They first article of food we got to experience was the horchata drinks. I was genuinely surprised that they were naturally made(they had great cinnamon flavor) unlike most restaurants which only use artificial flavor packets. My whole party ordered essentially the same thing; three orders of «comida corrida»(which is usually a main plate, with sides and soup, similar to a combo). Our soup which came included was a tortilla soup which was quite delicious. It had great seasoning, included with carrots, celery, onions, and avocados. For a starter soup, it was quite appetizing and it came out in less than 5 minutes which astonished me. For our main plate, we ordered essentially the same thing, three plates of flautas that were a bit different in variation. Mine were accompanied with chipotle sauce, but other than that they were pretty much ordinary flautas. The sauce wasn’t too spicy, but it had a pleasant spice. The beans were good as a side, but the rice was a little lackluster. The last thing I’d like to mention is the amazing bottles of homemade sauce they serve. We actually finished the red one, and left the other one half way! I’d recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to eat a good lunch at a good price!

Walking from the airport Wyndham it is on the East side of the street. This place is hard to find. It is located in a small strip mall on the back side and it is not visible from the street. The most visible thing from Airway drive is the Lone Star Laundry and there is a hair salon. Follow the parking lot to the entrance. I came in for some breakfast. I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and a chorizo burrito and both were outstanding. The tortillas are made fresh in the restaurant and so is the salsa. Overall it was a great breakfast and I will definitely be back again! I am going to eat lunch here also today! Lunch was fantastic! New find with lunch Cantaloupe Water! Amazing. Had the Flautas Texanas at the owners suggestion. They did not disappoint at all and did I mention the Cantaloupe Water? Update: Came in again for breakfast and the Hurvos Rancheros were recommended along with a Gorditas. I chose the Picadillo Gorditas and it was the best thing I have eaten here and that is saying something. I can’t wait to come back!
