Been getting my cuts from mo and Steve pretty regularly for the past year. Guys know what they’re doing with the clippers. I’ve also been cut by Eric and Ricky. Everyone at the shop is chill. Cuts run 15, appointments 20.

i’ve been taking my son here for 4 to 5 years, and i was never satisfied with there customer service they all smell like weed, they all drink on the job and they use profanity even when women n children are there, u wait 2 to 3 hours for a shitty haircut, but today i just had enough i dropped my son off at 450 they close at 6 when my son sat down to cut his hair the barber said oh i can’t cut your hair i’m leaving, what kind of business r u running there i was furious! ! lucky we drove around and we came across sn barber shop on peck road and ranchito best place ever. i will continue to take my son to sn barber highly recommend this place

They suck, they doesn’t know how to cut hair, I been going there for 10 times, and they mess ups hair for 10 times. I been going for almost 3 years. I have been going back there give them a shot to upgrade my style but they doesn’t know how to cut a simple fohawk, I show the example and picture still mess up it l, I personally think theyre not that good. They’re suck.
I went to other Asian place. They know how to cut it and it’s cheaper.
I will never ever go back to this shop.

Waited since 7:20 am on Saturday. They opened at 8:06 am. The only Barber Jorge Avila helped his two buddies who arrived at 8am. Didn’t bother to ask who was here first. I detest this kind of poor business practice. I’m sure they would disguise under the lie of he had an «appointment». Never going back there again. No respect.

The friendliest barber shop where everyone is family. It’s like I’ve known these cool guys all my life. Just wish they could have cut my hair all my life I might of had as many admirers back then. They will have you looking right for any occasion

My go-​to barbers for the past two years and the best in the SGV.
Brother Steve is my guy, but Geo, Moses, and T have all cut me up and are just as good. Every barber here can cut and can do everything from fades, to line ups, to hard parts and gentlemen cuts. Rarely a wait mid-​week and even on a Friday, the wait is pretty short. Glad the SGV has some legit barbers and the price is super good. Why drive to Hollywood/​Bev Hills when you can kick back here and get fresh. Would highly recommend!

Really good spot here in El Monte. You’ll walk out satisfied. Steve is the barber that I personally go to, but all of the guys there are always busy and all seem to do good work. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a good haircut in the area.

First barbershop experience and it was a great one. Always went to supercuts before but not anymore. There was a little bit of a wait at the beginning but it was worth it.
I always have trouble describing what I want to barbers but I gave them a vague description and when I put my glasses back on to see his work I was highly impressed. After the cut I added on a clean shave and that made me feel super fresh. Cut, fade and shave came out to 25 totally worth it and I’ll be coming back for sure. Just remember people cash only!

I been coming here a little bit after they opened the business back in 2010. I was introduced to this barbershop by a friend and he told me the guy to go to is Jorge and ever since then, he’s been the one to cut my hair and he has never failed me. I come by every two weeks and it has a good vibe and everyone gives great haircuts but Jorge is my go to barber since he knows exactly what I want.

Great place to come! I been coming here for the last 6 weeks. All the barbers are good. I first had Erick cut my hair then the second time I went since Erick was off I had MO they both did a very good job. I went in there not knowing what kind of style I wanted I told them just do something that would go with me and they did it. I found this place because my wife she goes to the hair salon next to it and they also do a good she has been going there the last two times she has done her hair. FYI GEO is the funniest guy in there.

THE BEST BARBER SHOP IN THE SAN GABRIEL VALLEY!!! Jorge and his crew are in my opinion, professionals… I’ve failed multiple times trying to get chopped up at other spots. And I can tell you from experience that each one of these barbers know what they are doing. Yes they all have their own techniques, and they all have their own following. But these guys are definitely top notch. I’ll gladly wait, even tho its not a short wait, to get my hair cut from these guys… its worth it. I recommend them to anyone who LIKES «attention to detail»

Come on the week days to get your hair cut, less crowds and high school kids. It gets really busy on Fridays and Saturdays.
They really do a great job on line ups, bears trims, fades and tapers.
I came here because I wanted to switch barbers and they do a pretty decent job. They gave me a real clean come over the last times I have been here.

Erick, (I’m pretty sure this was the barbers name) your ability to give a clean fade stinks like a homeless man on the «E» train in Manhattan!!! Heinous!
Also, when a client tells you that the fade isn’t blended too well, you shouldn’t snap back and yell & say that it is! And when a client tells you he wants a square cut in the back, you do just that & NOT the opposite!
And finally, more active listening to what the client wants and less chit chat with the tall bearded guy next to you about whose party you did or didn’t go to and whose face looks flat after plastic surgery!
In the end, your haircut sucks!!!

I was always scared to try The Upgrade when it first opened, but yet it was the talk of the town. So after my old barber shop kept messing up my hair I finally decided to try The Upgrade. and I Never looked back I even bring my dad here whose 69 years old. I’ve been coming here for 3 years and have gone through about 5 different hairstyle and they always make any style look the Freshest. I always come out filling like a Million dollars. No matter what barber you get they are all Amazing. But my barber of choice is Ricky T.
The vibe here is great! always have the radio playing (anytime music) to having the TVs on you get to catch sports events or TV shows.
You know the owner is doing a Fantastic Job because he recently opened up a Salon right next door for the women… so bring your Wife/​Gf/​Mom/​anyone for a cut and color.
