My husband and I have used this company three times with wonderful results each time. We had windows replaced the first time. The second time we had a new roof done. And the third job was a non-​breakable laminated glass in our side door. All work was completed efficiently and on time. The quality of the materials was excellent. Stella supervised all three jobs and made sure all was done correctly. At the completion of each job, everything was left clean and orderly. We have been extremely satisfied with all work from Sunside Solar and would definitely use this company again.

We wanted to install a solar pane system in May, 2015, and initially chose SolarCity because of their brand name. However, they failed to get the City’s approval twice and the whole project was suspended till January, 2016, when we were referred by a friend to Sunside Solar. We researched a bit about the company, scheduled a meeting with Stella, the owner of the company, told her out situation, and signed the contract with her. Literally in 5 days the solar system was installed and started to power our house…
I normally don’t write reviews cuz I’m super lazy, but Stella’s service really blew me away. She’s nice, always approachable, and patient. Sunside Solar doesn’t have the fancy solar ambassador app SolarCity offers, but from my personal experience, Stella was always with the construction team and kept me up to date regarding the installation via either phone or text. For anybody in need of a solar system in the Arcadia/​Pasadena/​Temple area, I would highly recommend Sunside Solar to y’all.

I was looking for help on a few major renovation projects at my apartment building. Stella was incredible to work with. She’s honest, fair, dependable and extremely knowledgable in a variety of construction related areas. Her attention to detail shows in the work she did for me. I will absolutely have her involved in future projects.

Stella does an excellent job to offer clean energy at competitive prices.
Her calculations are on point and we have not needed to pay SCE since her solar panels have been up and running.
She also keeps track of the generation from our system which is really nice!
Her and her team of electricians are very knowledgeable in maximizing the production from the panels installed.
If you are considering going solar, I doubt you would be disappointed with Sunside Solar.

Stella at Sunside Solar is super helpful in getting us through the whole solar system installation process (from design to installation completion). We had encountered quite a few hip-​ups during the installation process, but Stella helped us to resolve every single one. During installation, the contractor accidentally broke a hole on our wall, she personally dealt with the contractor, made them patched up and resurfaced the wall back to its original condition. After installation, the inspector would not give us the go ahead and sign off the permit due to insufficient smoke detectors inside the house, Stella went to Home Depot, bought the requested smoke detectors, installed them for us. She rescheduled to have the inspector to come back for re-​inspection. She was there during every single inspection to make sure everything went well. She continues to provide us service after the installation. Checking time to time to make sure our solar panels are producing up to par. The panels she used are not the average panels, they are of high quality and are with lengthy track records. Our average monthly electrical bill was around $ 110 per month before the installation. We installed the panels since July. The solar panels started production as of August 1. Since August, our monthly bill is around $ 10. A 91% reduction in our electricity bill. Actually, due to the fact that we installed during Summer, we received a $ 40 credit from SCE because of decrease in power consumption. So for the past few months, our year to date electricity cost is $ 9.35. Hurray!!! Stella was also on top of the CA rebate program. Originally, CA rebate for solar was closed due to lack of fund. As soon as it resumed, Stella helped us to get the rebate. We highly recommend Sunside Solar (Stella) for your solar needs.

I recently installed my solar system by Sunside. It’s one of the best investments I have ever made. Since the system was on, I kept track of my usage everyday at SCE’s website and was amazed by the savings I was getting. Before going solar, my SCE bill during spring time is usually around $ 150/​month. Summer can go as high as $ 350/​month. But after going solar, my last year bill was $ 93. It really works!!!
Plus Stella at Sunside is wonderful to work with! They are very professional and courteous! I would highly recommend them!

I just had a guy knock on my door to try and sell me solar panels from Sunside Solar. I already have solar panels, and when he asked where I got them from and I told him the company I went with, he proceeded to tell me «I use to work with them, they are not a good company, but if you are happy with them then that’s good»…
I’m sorry but that is very unprofessional and not what a potential customer wants to hear. Why would he feel the need to put down my solar purchase and make me feel like an idiot, when I already did my research with the company I went with. Obviously Sunside need to train the people that go door knocking. And obviously this guy is no longer with the company I went with for a reason.

My mother-in-law’s ground mount solar system was installed by Sunside Solar about 2 years ago. The 9kW solar system is well-​built with more than a dozen thick steel pipes and solid foundations deep into the rocky slope in her backyard. According to her, not only did she save tons of money on electricity but also got about $ 105 back from Edison form the system’s over generation in 2011. Because of this, she decided to buy a plug-​in Toyota Prius in March 2012 to take advantage of the extra generation. By the way, once it’s fully charged, the plug-​in Prius can go 14 miles without gas. In addition, during the heat wave this summer, the AC in her house is always on.
