My favorite mom and pop Mexican restaurant. The owners are very friendly and the food is delicious. The mar y tiara is made to perfection and is decently priced. Although, I believe that the prices have recently gone up $ 1 for some plates. I also get the shrimp cocktail which contains quite a bit of large sized shrimp unlike some places who make it with the tiny shrimp.

This place is not only great with food, but also with their customer service! You must try the chips with green salsa, cream and cheese, they are awesome. Everything we’ve tried is delicious!

Ive been here a million times and always thought the tacos were bomb on fridays nights. Well i went today an the asada tasted like it was from friday night. An its monday. Super dry with a crap load of fat an grissles. Like i said one star because they have always been my fav tacos. Just really dissapointed. My jaw hurts from all the dry ingredients the tortillas limes everything not fresh at all today!!! So pissed i was starving.

Not just only burgers! They specialize in authentic Mexican food just like if your am’ma made it in the kitchen. Just try it out for yourself and you won’t be disappointed. And if you come for breakfast you have to try their AMAZINGCHILAQUILES. I am a customer and not a family member trying to give a four star rating. Trying to help a family business to survive. Unilocal do not delete my review.

The cashier was super nice, friendly and had excellent customer service! I got a chicken salad and my bf got a carne asada burrito. My salad was delicious the chicken was flavorful and the lettuce looked fresh. I had a bite of that burrito and it was soooo good. I will definitely come back again for more delicious food.

Really good tacos! I ordered to go, but wish I could have more! So bomb and the staff and owners are really friendly! They have great specials during the week and they are opening a second location in Whittier. They also sell the Coke and Fanta from Mexico so real sugar is used. I should’ve bought one because I’m really craving it now after my tacos. I can’t wait to try the rest of their food and their new location!

first time coming here. we ordered a grilled chicken sandwich some sopes de asada and a chicken dinner since they didnt have chicken nuggets… the chicken sandwich was skimped out on the chicken and it was missing flavor the sopes as well the chicken dinner the rice was good and the onion rings were good too and the little chicken drumsticks didnt have a lot of meat. the place is small maximum of 10 tables… the horchata wasnt that good… customer service was good very friendly

3 stars– tacos dorados de papa, everything was good except the cabbage, it was sour 2 stars – Torta ahogada, the salt bread was not fresh. the sauce was tomato not torta ahogada sauce .the onions were not pickle(onions on lime juice) disappointed .**** get daily bread from La Puente Bakery #1 · Panaderia y Restaurante 15751 Amar Rd La Puente, CA91744 6am to 9pm — Mon thru Sunday (626) 961‑4545 3 stars– enchiladas de pollo hmm just ok 1 star – tejuino, it was like masa water. not good my friends .masa shouldn’t be sitting on the bottom just wrong 2 stars – salsa and chips., not the best salsa to start with unless I’m going to make camarones ala diabla

Have not been disappointed once. Food is as close to a home cooked meal as it gets! Tony and his wife always go out of their way to make one feel welcomed. Love the food and service!

Best tortas ahogadas in El Monte. I had to drive all the way out to LA to find some good ones, not anymore.

I come here at least every couple weeks. My favorite is the Machaca plate and to go with it… My usual pineapple drink… YUM!!! It’s almost like eating at home, very comforting… Service is excellent the waitress(I’ve been meaning to get her name) she’s so nice and patient. Tries to always cater to our needs making sure everything was fine. Being that I’m not Hispanic and already knows I can’t tolerate too much hot stuff she always makes suggestions to put things to the side so I have the option to put into my meal. Always good to see her… Until then… I’d give this place and the service my 5 star.

Been here a few times. Casual sit down place with home cooked style food. Prices are great usually less than $ 10 a person. Spanish music usually playing in the background. Past two times I’ve come here was for the nachos. Very good. Just much else to say.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for over a couple of years now. 99% of the time I stick to the Mexican plates here because they’re just so damn good. This is an authentic home-style Mexican done right that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. I highly suggest that you try all the platos. They also serve your typical American fare here(burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, etc.), but this is not where they shine. Some of my favorites here: –Camarones a la Diabla and Costa Azul –Fish Filet a la Plancha –Asada Plate –Torta Ahogada And on weekends they have their weekly taco stand outside for your quick fix!
