New patient to this practice and I must say I am very pleased. The staff is so nice and friendly and very good at explaining charges and procedures. I saw Dr. Wong to get a cavity fixed and he was very nice, gentle and fast. They are great with appointment availability and I felt that they really had my best care in high priority. Would definitely recommend and will be going back!

The staff tries very hard to be helpful and they are nice, but my experience was that I didn’t get the products that I wanted like a good night guard or the quality of the bridge that was promised. Maybe it is the quality of the labs nowdays, but the company obviously has had some growing pains. I have heard that they have made positive changes from staff and hope that is true.

We went here because our insurance was linked to them. What a ghastly mistake. Avoid this dental practice. They say you have cavities when you don’t; I saw another review mentioned the same thing. Unfortunately we put our children through this dental practice and fillings before we figured it out. They make up dental issues. Then when they did the fillings (on nonexistent cavities), the fillings fall out. This is a shoddy business and it needs to be shut down. UGH, UGH, UGH. They overcharge and act like a holding company for your money and you have to fight to get a refund.

Not a good experience, won’t go back.

The worst! Hands down.
Had a root canal. Still in horrible pain 5 days later and called to speak with the endodonist. Receptionist wouldn’t let me speak to him stating only that they are sending a pain killer prescription to my pharmacy. 4 hours later and STILL no prescription.
All I wanted was to talk with the doctor to get some info.

I have never seen such a money hungry group of people in my life. Everything they do they try to upsale you. It’s like going to the worst used car lot you have ever been too. The estimate for my son was over $ 18,000, and my son had regular dental visits his entire life. We had to change to this office due to changes in dental insurance. As soon as I can change insurance during open enrollment– I am changing.
My daughter received the same treatment for her entire family and when she spoke up they told her she should find another dentist.
I received the same treatment — trying to tell me I needed something my prior dentist never said I needed.

Do Not Give them your credit card for automatic payments. After you pay your bill in full they continue to charge your card.

I know my review is short but I don’t have anything nice to say. You can find better places than this for orthodontic! My son has been going to a new orthodontics doc and his teeth look better in a shorter amount of time then this place cost in TIME and MONEY!

The Worst Dental group. I’d rather go to a private small office than these big medical groups which looks a lot like going to a auto mechanic shop and not knowing who’s gonna fix your car.
There’s a lack of personal, customer service. Dentist are working like a assembly man working in a watch factory with out caring who’s gonna wear it. they just want to get it over with ASAP! as many they can finish.
Please read all these reviews, all of us don’t have anything against this practice, except not receiving the service we expected from a Professional dentist.
If Green Valley Dental Group really cared for their customer or business someone would have answer /​reply to our disappointment.

See above, every thing about Green Valley Dental Group. I hope health insurance take Unilocal/​public reviews into account when allowing people like these to get money from them and their customers.

This is a ‘rental dentist’. A big company rents out the office to random dentists. I got 5 different ones in a year. They do a 5 minute whiff job on cleanings. I had two procedures done. One was ineffective and one made the situation worse. I’ll have to pay twice as much to correct.
It’s a good idea to avoid dental HMO dentists.

I want to apologized for my last review, and for getting so angry in the dental office. It is not the Dental Group’s fault that I have lousy insurance. I’ve been going to Green Valley for six years, and they have always made me fee very comfortable. There are problems that should have been caught sooner, but dentistry is not an exact science. I wish that the turn-​over was not so high.

This dental office is a joke! They are a preferred provider on my HMO dental plan, but they try to get patients to sign a form stating the patient will be responsible for whatever the insurance doesn’t pay. I’ve had to file 2 grievances with my plan, and because of the office’s delay tactics, I am now at risk of losing a molar! I agree with another reviewer, it’s like buying a car! I recommend not using this group of offices.

I am a state employee and I chose them to be my dental care.
I set up my account and deltacare approves them, and green valley accepts me.
They book an appointment, and I even do the preregistration online to make it more smooth.
They confirm my appointment both over the phone and through email.
I show up for my appointment and first they tell me I am not in the right place.
I show them the number that called me and they tell me that isn’t their number.
I leave and 3 minutes later they call and say «oh I am sorry that actually is our number but I don’t see an appointment»
I come back, and maintain my calmness and show the receptionist both the call and email confirmation .
She still maintains I am not on the schedule but maybe they can fit me in.
Then to top it off she says they do not accept state workers insurance.
Keep in mind this is AFTER approving me and my insurance over the phone and online.
I told them I am just going to go elsewhere, I am surprised I kept my cool, as I wasted a whole day and won’t be able to see another dentist for God knows how long.
So basically I am still in pain and just disillusioned with the terrible service I received.
Do yourself a favor and find somewhere that will follow through, maintain order, and take care of you!
After all, isn’t that what they get paid large amounts of money to do???

I loved this office and staff. I had a great experience with them. I went in to get my teeth cleaned and have some sensitivity checked out and they were able to schedule a perfect date and time for me.
I got there and had previously filled out the online portion of history so the dentist took me in a private room and went over what my symptoms were and how he planned on going about finding out what was wrong. I then got x-​rays done and was able to see them as they happened, they took my blood pressure as well to make sure I was healthy. The dentist cleaned my teeth, checked my gums, and figured out why the sensitivity all in a timely manner. They were also very patient and explained everything very clearly to me. We have a plan going forward and I actually look forward to having these dentists and team work on me.

Just moved to the area, and had to reestablish with a new Dentist. Very professional and courteous service. Their front desk staff and financial person were great about making sure that all the details of my insurance and co-​pay were shared BEFORE treatment began. I appreciate this ‘no surprises’ approach.
Overall an excellent experience. I will stay with this office and recommend them to others.

I grew up seeing the same dentist for over 15 years. Since I changed insurance I wasn’t able to see her anymore. I recently had a visit to this office for a regular cleaning. My dentist was Dr. Kania. He was friendly and nice. He cleaned my teeth and even fixed a bond on my front tooth which fell off because I grind my teeth. He matched the color perfectly and was very quick. He was very easy to talk to and so was their staff. They were there on time and and clearly explained everything to me. I also tried their zoom whitening. Their staff was excellent and always made sure I was comfortable because this process can be slightly painful. My teeth look 6 shades lighter and I was happy to smile again. Loved my experience and will be back.

The team at Green Valley is great and make my dental visits less stressful. They are always polite, cheerful and professional. End result is good. It doesn’t feel like I am being upsold, but when it is clear I need additional treatment, the dentist brings it up and explains in as much detail as I want before making a decision. When its time to go to the dentist, I feel good about going to Green Valley Dental.

Went here because they were accepting my insurance. Big mistake. Was told I need root canal, a crown, and bridge. Cost me out of pocket $ 2000. They sent in a closer to close the deal. Felt like I was buying a car. Dentists must be paid on commission and this was the biggest thing they could find to fix since they totally ignored another tooth that just needed a filling. Apparently they fractured my tooth when placing the post for the root canal, now I have to have the tooth removed and the whole thing replaced. Would not go there again. Had a different doctor every time I went there and it was the same thing, even hygienist wanted $ 500 to clean my teeth which was covered under my insurance.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and quality of care provided by the staff at Green Valley Dental Group. I went in for a cleaning appointment and crown checkup (done by a previous dentist) with Dr. Evan Kania.
Upon arrival, the staff was very thorough with gathering my information. Dr. Kania sat down with me in a private room to get the full history of my teeth, after which, I was taken to get full x-​rays and pictures by a technician. The technology was very modern and I was able to see the results of all the x-​rays and pictures as they were taken. They even took my blood pressure to ensure I was in good health for the visit. The actual crown check-​up and cleaning were done by Dr. Evan Kania and a dental hygienist, both of whom were very knowledgeable and professional with their care. They took the time to answer any questions I had and made a visit to the dentist as best as it could be.
I was very happy with the visit and would definitely recommend Green Valley Dental Group.

While I have nothing but praise for Dr. Lomen and the hygienists, the office staff here sucks. Or their computer system does. Something is very wrong. They can’t seem to find appointments, they call before your appointment to remind you, but when you realize it’s a bad time and call back, they can’t find it, etc.
They also seem to have issues with scheduling. The day you go in for a cleaning, you can’t see the dentist. And vice versa. So they always need to schedule two appointments as if it’s always easy to find a hole in your schedule.
I’m switching to a different dentist.

I love this office! For me I do not like going to the dentist, I have had several bad experiences in the past. So I decided to give this office a try. I LOVE it! Everybody there is so nice and friendly, and really put you at ease. Dr. Lomen is awesome, she is the nicest Dentist I have ever had.
This office and everybody there changed how I feel about going to the dentist, I will definately keep going back to them!

Had to visit this dentist when we switched insurance. They told me my filling needed to be replaced, and when they replaced it it wasn’t sealed properly and caused severe sensitivity. It got to the point where I couldn’t drink cold beverages without a straw, and had to heat water to rinse after brushing my teeth. Went back to my original dentist to have it fixed. Waste of time and money.
Also, when I scheduled to have my wisdom teeth removed, they told me the wrong date. I arranged with my teachers to take off school for a few days plus the weekend. The day before I called because they hadn’t called with instructions for before the surgery, and they told me my surgery was actually another week away. They seem to have a problem with organization.

There’s a Groupon today for this dentist (well, this group of dentists), and I just realized I’ve never reviewed them even though I meant to. So here goes.
Though I don’t have a lot of experience with dentists (I usually go like every five years or so), I’d have to say these are the best dentists I’ve ever been to.
I had a piece of wisdom tooth left over from a previous dentist removing it over a year before. I also had to get my other three wisdom teeth removed. I did all this over the course of a few visits, and I also had a few visits for cleanings and stuff (I had great teeth until I got pregnant three years ago, then it all went to crap, and now I was trying to clean up the mess). The cleanings and exams and stuff were at this location, and the actual tooth removal was at their sister location in Folsom (Gateway Dental).
I was really satisfied with my experience at both locations. The staff was very friendly and I was made to feel very comfortable. They thoroughly answered all the questions I had, and all the procedures were done very well. Five thumbs up!
