Simona Fino is a Birth and Postpartum Doula providing doula services throughout the Bay Area. By encouraging a «keep it simple» approach with an attention to personal intuition, Simona Fino empowers parents to birth and parent their children in a way that works for each unique family.

She brings a steady, calm support to families of all kinds. She is especially skilled at working with first time moms/​partners who often need extra consideration and support as they navigate the world of pregnancy and birth.

Simona Fino also teaches classes on Elimination Communication (Infant Potty Training). Elimination Communication (EC) is a gentle, non-​coercive method of teaching newborns/​infants to poop/​pee in a potty instead of their diaper. This method is practiced by parents around the world. In fact, 50% of the world’s babies are potty trained by 1 year of age. It is easy and convenient and will save you both time and money!

History

Established in 2008.

Simona Fino honed her «baby whisperer» skill set around the age of 12 when she first began caring for babies and children in her community. While working full time in the non-​profit industry she maintained her skills by providing nanny/​childcare on the side.

After the birth of her daughter in 2007, Simona became a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula in 2008 and has since been providing doula services throughout the Bay Area. She has continued to augment her initial certification with classes and workshops on a variety of topics including breast feeding, herbal support during pregnancy and postpartum, homeopathy, and massage.
