History

Established in 1996.

Darren Kessler began as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County handling hundreds of cases ranging from DUI to Homicide. Upon opening his private practice in 1987, he developed a specialty advocating for families and children in the juvenile court, defending those charged with crimes and DUI. Later, he successfully won notable civil rights cases on behalf of children harmed by neglect of social workers and adults subjected to police abuse, false arrest and other Civil Rights violations. Darren Kessler litigated hundreds of trials, over 80 of them were jury trials, as well as numerous DMV and other administrative hearings. He recently won an personal injury lawsuit that resulted the largest recovery for social worker negligence in San Francisco history. He continues to defend those needing assistance in all legal matters.
