Barcelona Event Center

I attended a wedding last Saturday. The facility was neat and clean. However, it soon became apparent that the staff had no guidance or leadership. Although drinks were to be served you could only get them if you actually went for them yourself. Later when dinner was served, there was no salt and pepper on the table. Additionally the presentation of the meal was poor. White chicken white chicken sauce, white potatoes and two carrots.
Although we enjoyed the wedding, I would never recommend this place.

My company was hired to do lighting and sound along with djing a birthday party here. When we were setting up 2 hours before the event. the bartender was telling us that we can not turn it up cause they could not hear (any bar with music playing you have to be able to work under stressful situations). We told them they would have to take it up with the one who hired us. then said that we start at 6pm when she opens the bar. We explained our contract was for 9pm to 2am and she was not happy. during the night they were telling us to turn it turn it down which it was not loud, but there place is all tile no carpet so it was echoing. The ac was not turned on untill the night was almost over it was hot. At the end of the night we were breaking everything down and loading it up in the truck and the staff keep telling us to hurry up so they could leave. How much more rude could you be? You see us loading all the lights, speakers, sub woofers, amp rack, trussing, lights, controllers, ect. Its not a five min job it actually takes a hour and its in our contract it takes that long to set up and take down. In my 11 years of promoting events this is one of the worse experiences I have ever had. We kept people from leaving and had them dancing which in turn makes them buy more drinks. This place is way out of the way and not in the main part of town so they do not get alot of bar traffic and are trying to reach that market. You would think they would have been happy and excited we had over a hundred people who would not normally show up and enjoy there place. I will never take any job at this place ever again,

My daughters Quincenera was April 2015, I appreciated all the help Jesus and his staff did for our family. Around two years in advance his help and concern to meet our every need was accomplished. The day of event his staff and himself went above and beyond with their services. Enjoyed the event with no worries.

Management and Staff are very attentive, responsive and courteous. Able to cater, all inclusive, to the needs and to some level, the demands, of a diverse and multicultural group.
Great value and perfect all inclusive, turn key event. Looking forward to using them again and again for both Corporate and Personal events.
Would recommend to anyone who wants a successful event and expects a high quality experience from a high quality team.

I had my wedding here on 2÷14÷15 and couldn’t have asked for anything better. They did the chairs, tables, linens, food, provided the DJ, decorations and were super helpful with anything else I needed. I had originally picked the venue because I thought it was the nicest looking and was pleasantly surprised when I found out they did so much more than host. The food was delicious (we had the chicken with Barcelona sauce) Our guests kept telling us how good the food was even weeks after the wedding. It made my life so much easier to have Jesus help with everything. I work 7:30 to 5:00 and Jesus was always willing to meet with me after work. I also didn’t have to take time and price different vendors for different things because the Barcelona provided almost everything (even a candy bar). if your looking for an extremely professional and classy place to hold an event, this is definitely it.

We had a professional 2-​day event for more than 100 educators from the Imperial Valley and San Diego. The professionalism and the quality of their service was amazing! We didn’t have to worry about a thing, they really took care of us. Looking forward to our next annual event!

We had our wedding reception here on 12÷06÷14. Everything turned out amazing! Mr Rubalcalva takes care of all the details. The waiters were all wonderful. I had guests arrive 3 hours late and they were still served dinner. The entire party was handled with impeccable taste and class. Barcelona Event Center is definitely worth every penny!

In May of 2014 we held our wedding reception at the Barcelona Event Center. We were 100% satisfied with the results of the entire process. If you are looking for the ease of a relaxed, non stressful event, this is a great place to experience that. In the beginning planning stages, You will be given a tour of the facility and presented with a list of packages to choose from. The event planner, Jesus, will be your personal point of contact. Just inform Jesus what style, colors and designs you want, and he will magically create a beautiful and perfect experience. When it comes time for the event, all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself!!! The wait-​staff are dressed extremely professional and are treat your event is the most important thing going on. Everyone was professional, polite and courteous. With all of these characteristics it made our special day even more memorable!!!

If you are looking for a classy, detail oriented and easy to work with business use the Barcelona Event Center in El Centro, CA. We held our 30 year class reunion here and Mr. R (Jesus Ruvalcaba) owner and manager was incredible to work with. Very patient with us and his facility is top notch. His and his staff’s attention to detail, service, and professionalism made our event the most memorable of all our past reunions. All night we got compliments on what a great job we had done, but really it was Mr. R who made it happen for us. From the parking and security to the DJ and dinner service. The outdoor patio served as our defacto cigar lounge and it was a perfect evening for all. Thank you so much Mr. R and the Barcelona Event Center. I highly recommend your services to anyone who is looking for a nice venue in the Imperial Valley!

Truly a lovely place for any special occasion. We held our Calexico Class of 83 Reunion at Barcelona and our committee group couldn’t have asked for a better place. Mr. Rubalcava is a top notch event planner who pays special attention to detail; from the décor, to the theme, music and food. Our committee met with other event centers in the valley and no one compared to Barcelona. Thank you Mr. Rubalcaba for your time and patience and for being such a gracious host. PS: The new outdoor patio was an added bonus and we used it for our «cigar lounge.»

I am so glad we decided to have our wedding reception at Barcelona Event Center. Jesus is amazing to work with and pays attention to every single detail. So many of our guests told us they loved the reception — and they especially loved the delicious food they served! I highly recommend this place!

We recently had an event here at Barcelona for our daughter. From the initial planning stages and through to the completion of our event, Jesus and the staff were exceptional. The service and assistance from beginning to end was definitely 1^st Class! The salon was elegant, the food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. I have had 2 events over the past year at the Barcelona Event Center (in excess of 100 people at both) and I am extremely impressed with the attention to detail and incredible service that I recieved. I plan talks and seminars for a living, so I am well versed in venue space and service quality. I am already planning my 3^rd event there, as this place makes my job easy. Timely turnaround of contracts, great follow-​up, delicious food, and above all else, phenomenal service. The owner, Jesus, geniunely wants each event to be the best it can be. I can’t wait to plan more seminars here!
