If you don’t mind having to come back several times to have them get the work right it’s a great place. Pretty disappointed in the repairs performed by this establishment. Low quality parts installed made additional problems for me that resulted in me having to spend money elsewhere to fix the problem caused by low performance parts.
Just wanted to clarify a few inconsistencies in the owner’s reply. The second set of ignition modules were factory parts, they were needed after the aftermarket parts failed that they installed first. The bad ignition modules not firing caused excess gas to go down the exhaust and killed the catalytic converter. This happened within a very short period after the install of the first set of modules, after the install of the original bad parts it started running bad and when returning it to the shop I was told the cat was bad and must be replaced. I had it replaced and it still ran bad due to the ignition modules not working, and I was told, by the muffler shop, to return to the repair shop to correct the problem before it ruined the new cat, that is when the aftermarket parts were replaced with factory parts. Also I didn’t even mention the several times I had to return to correct coolant leaks. The first time I told them to replace all hoses but they didn’t and then I had to return again. It’s a nice shop with nice guys who just need to work on getting it right the first time.

Called them early in the week and made an apt. Got there on the day and time for my apt and was greeted by friendly and professional staff. Making the apt was easy and they listened to what my issues were. Took my car in and had everything explained to me. I called later to check on progress and they were very nice and patient explaining it all. My car was ready the next day earlier then originally promised! Even got a military discount and didn’t get charged for a part they added and forgot to tell me about! Had a great experience and would certainly recommend. Even had their shuttle service.

Love this place! I took my 09 VW Rabbit here for some hard shifting problems and engine light on. They were thorough and found and fixed the problem that not even VW could find. Their customer service was excellent, they even called me after a few days to make sure I wasn’t having any issues with my car, which I wasn’t :)! My car has been running great since and I have nothing but positive things to say about this place !!

I recently had to have my 2006 Ford Ranger repaired. Chose this place at reccomendation from a friend and also AAA rated. BIG MISTAKE. I told them that I tought it was a timing belt. They said it was the water pump leaking on a sensor. However they neglected to start the vehicle until after they replaced the water pump, sensor and flywheel. When they did start it, it ran eaxctly the same as I had stated, they said it would need a new motor and they were sorry they didn’t start it! According to them, there would be no charge for the work they did as all those parts come with a new motor. The new motor and installation would be $ 6,940. This was on a Fri., I told them go ahead and they said the new motor would be there on Mon. I spoke with friends on the weekend and they thought the cost was really high. I asked my wife to do some research and she called the Jasper company to get a quote, their price including installation and installation kit was $ 5604. She also contacted another well respected local repair who uses the same motor and their price was $ 5,800. I contacted Brian Bowersock, owner and after a heated conversation, he said you can take it somewhere else but, they would have to put it back together and I would be charged for all they had done, knowing he had me between a rock and a hard place! His exact words were «so you don’t think I should make any money!» Kind of strange since his motto is «people before money» That’s a crock. The upshot being when I recieved the bill, on the listing for labor it said $ 1,800 but, on the back page of the bill, it said labor $ 2,372. Nowhere on the bill was there an explanation for the difference in price so I assume they tacked on the cost of the screw up, that I wasn’t supposed to be charged for. If you read the reviews for Bowersock’s other shop West Escondido Automotive, you will see many unsatisfied customers with responses from Bowersock stating, I wish you would have talked to me, I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Well I talked to hin and you can see how far I got! He’s a fast talking shyster! Save yourself a bad experience go somewhere else! I’m also talking to AAA and the Bureau of Automotive Repair

I have listened to the guys on the radio for several months. When my RX-​8 started stalling on me, I decided to give them a shot. It was a great experience. I was impressed with the work that was done and the suggestions for minor maintenance that I had neglected. What they say on the radio is what I got in real life. My wife and I had a shop in San Diego that we really trusted and now that we have moved east, we have found another. I took several business cards to give to friends. Thanks guys, the car is running great and I’ll be back.

I went in because my wife heard Brian on the radio on Saturday mornings and she wanted me to see what I thought. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of Paul and Mike and their completely honest appraisal of what was needed for my wife’s Cadillac; her ‘baby’. They gave me a quote and they fixed the car for that quote exactly plus a few other minor things they found while doing the work.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. I have several vehicles and they are now going to get all my business. I am 73 years old and I have been around the block with auto repair facilities. These guys are the ‘real deal’.

This place is fantastic! I follow Brian Heller everywhere he goes and this is by far the best shop he has worked for. The owner is great, friendly and honest. They don’t BS you and try to take you money like most places. They take their time and fully explain what they need to do to your car and why. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants their car taken care of properly. Make sure to request Brian Heller as your mechanic too!

Have to say I had an amazing experience here. Everyone was super nice and very knowledgable and willing to help any way they could. I will go back again for any car related issues u have in the future.

Brought my car in for some work after getting a huge estimate from another shop. I knew these guys were the best at alignment and suspension work, so I wasn’t surprised when they told me that the «other guys» were trying to rip me off and did the RIGHT repairs for half of my original estimate. Thanks to Chris and Brian for saving me money and making the car like new again. Best in El Cajon.

If you want honest, quality, superior work done on your car — this is the place to go every single time. These guys are professional, keep your car clean and will never lie to you about what’s wrong or needs upgrading. I will be continuing to brag about these guys to my friends and family… highly recommended!

This place is great! They know their stuff and don’t try to sell you on things you don’t need. I had a strange noise coming from my truck and Brian was quick to diagnose it. He even took the time to make sure that we got the best quality replacement part for the best price and even same day. The dealership wanted 3 times as much and it would’ve been at least 2 days before they had the part.
It’s tough to find a mechanic shop that you can trust, but this is definitely the one!

If you want work done by professionals I highly suggest West El Cajon automotive and transmission. The customer service is excellent the mechanics are more than helpful in answering any questions. This is not your average ordinary mechanic shop they go above and beyond and strive for excellence. The prices are very fair I will no longer take my car anywhere else for any kind of service or work. And the great thing about it is is that if you can’t afford to have it fixed they do you offer financing which is a great perk for people that are low on cash. They get a five star rating from me and my business
