Established in 2001.

Our Parent Company, Paragon Mountain, Inc. was started by Robert Thompson and his business partner to support handheld computers purchased for the University of San Diego’s School of Nursing’s faculty and students. Currently we support a wide variety of clients including businesses, home users, and some hardware installed at military facilities.

The Virtual IT Department was initially a brand for our subscription (managed or flat rate) services. We decided near the end of last year that it needed it’s own web site and branding.

We currently offer On-​site, remote, and in-​shop services.
