The Unique Nails

Waited too long. Even after i made an appointment. my nail technician did a horrible job. Uneven nails not filed correctly. The whole thing took too long and the end result was sloppy.

Had a Groupon to try to see if this was any good to make my new regular nail salon. Made an appointment for my mother and I for mani/​pedi 4 days before, got to appointment on time and wasn’t seen until 45 minutes later to be seated! Almost two hours later finally got out of there without actually getting manicures because we had other appointments. Pedicure was that great either. Lady at front and pedicurist was nice, so that’s why one star. I make appointments to manage my schedule, not to sit around all day and wait on people that are trying to earn business. Will never return.

Came here because I got a mani-​pedi groupon for me and my roomie for her birthday. We made an appointment for Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t too busy when we first walked in. However, there were only 3 ladies working and by the time we left they were very behind. I absolutely recommend making an appointment before you come in! There was a girl (who I assume was a walk in) sitting in the waiting area and she was still waiting even an hour later after we left! They have a pretty good nail polish selection with a lot of name brands (OPI, Essie, China Glaze). I’m not sure what they used for the top/​bottom coats though but it looked like cheap stuff and felt pretty cheap since my polish started flaking off within a few days and my roomie’s polish started to crack. The lady who did my nails kind of scared me because she did a lot of yelling and looked like she would rather be anywhere but there but was pretty efficient. My roomie’s technician was a lot more friendly and kept asking her if whatever she was doing was all right, but it also felt like she was a student who had just come from the beauty school next door. I guess with the groupon it was okay, but I wouldn’t come back and pay full price.

Had a Groupon for mani-​pedi. Rosie did an excellent job. She is really great and takes her time. She is very sweet and easy to talk to. Place was clean.

Really great job on my nails, defined would come back and get another mani/​pedi. It would get five stars but i felt like my nails chipped really fast even though i got gel.

The girls at the nail salon were very friendly and accomodating. I appreciated their pleasant attitude and you get 10% off your first time! Thanks for the great job, I’ll be back!

First time coming here and my experience was superb soon as I called on the phone until I walked outside! Love them! Bri and Jamie sue OMG!!! Talented cuties! We talked and laughed the whole time I was there! And the owners are super nice! And make sure you were comfortable! I felt welcomed and pampered! Salon is super clean! The employees are quiet, but do a great job. The facility is very clean and organized. I felt very comfortable getting a pedicure and manicure.

I’ve been going here to get my eyebrows waxed since 2012, Lisa was AWESOME. Last year I had one of the other ladies be really rude to me, no clue what her name is, but the eyebrow wax was exceptional so I kept going back. Lisa was always so courteous that it didn’t bother me that other lady was rude. A few months back I was told that Lisa hasn’t worked there for 6 months (yes, I went that long without an eyebrow wax, that’s how much I loved her), so I gave the new person a chance. Personally I didn’t love my eyebrows but I got a lot of compliments. I went back two more times, both times that same lady was so rude to me! Basically turned me away the second I walked in the door. The last time I went I decided that’s enough. I asked for the eyebrow wax and expected a «she’s not here» but instead she said «don’t you see we’re very busy??» There was one person getting a pedicure and 3 other employees just sitting and chatting. And to be clear, that same lady has seen me wait very patiently for over an hour sometimes when Lisa was there, I didn’t mind waiting. For some reason she was always rude, she never even worked with me. I found a new place on Main and 1^st next to Foodland and Big Lots, it’s awesomely priced and EVERYONE is nice to me there. And my eyebrows look fabulous! I will go there from now on. Customer service matters a lot to me. I’ll be giving my money to people who treat me well from now on.

I have been going here for years. Changed ownership several times. But I always have Yen and Mai do my fill and pedi. They outdid themselves this time! All hand painted, no decals.

First time at this salon. After going to a different place and not being satisfied I thought I’d try this place since it’s down the street from my work. Elise did my nails. She was great! She paid attention to the small details and was very gentle. Definitely going back to see her when I need my fills.

My daughter took me to Unique nail as part of a day of beauty. Partly for my birthday and partly for her upcoming wedding. I got my first set of gels. I love them. Its been over a week and they still look like they were just done. The shop is clean. The girls doing my nails were funny and friendly and treated us like we were her best customers. I wil be back for all my mani/pedi’s Thanks Elise

Came in and got a deluxe pedicure with Chihiro the tangerine scrub smelled amazing and she did a great job on the pedicure I will defiantly return!

The experience wasn’t as good as the salon looks like. Salon was remodels recently, looks nice and clean. The owner seems polite and tries to make you feel comfortable. However, the girls who work there don’t know how to do mani/​pedi at all… I’m saying they are learning while doing your mani/​pedi, and the owner is teaching them. Aren’t you suppose to learn it while getting your license? !?
Been there with my mom to get a pedicure done for her, we had max 40 min for it and I thouth it’s enough.
Well…let me tell you, 1 hour and 45 min took to get a pedicure done!!! Excuse me… it’s almost 2 hours!!! Noone informed us or told us that these girls are just trainees and it’s their second day working at the salon It would be fine if they do an amazing job, but no… the leg massage wasn’t feel good at all… it wasn’t feel at all… cuticle wasn’t cut properly and nice, after all this time sitting there, we asked the owner to make sure everything is done right and she fixed all what been done before.
The price. .make sure you clarify how much they charge prior they start. One price was mention at the beginning and they charged more at the end!!!
Well, if you have trainees working for you, offer at least a discount and inform/​ask your client if it’s ok of they will learn on you.
Won’t recommend this place… unfortunately.

Tried this place out today with my friend after lunch at AMI sushi, there were 2 girls working one had a client, We only waited about 10 mins. I had a manicure with gel and a design on all of my nails and a polish change on my toes. My friend got a fill, gel polish and a design on one nail. I only paid $ 47 and she paid $ 31! Totally worth it, my manicurist spent roughly 45 mins on my nails and they’re PERFECT. My friends nails came out amazing too! I will be back for sure. Nail salon was super clean, great hand massage, huge gel polish selection great prices.
