DJ Pat rocks! He is super friendly and down-​to-​earth. I really loved his planning software that simplified the whole timeline process, especially for us planning all the way from the East Coast. He went above and beyond for our August 2015 wedding by offering microphones for the officiant (which we didn’t wind up needing but was very kind), timing our entrance music so that the chorus would be playing just as my husband and I walked in, staying an extra hour when asked (for FREE!!), taking guests’ requests, keeping the dance party going all night, and just being an all-​around cool guy. And, my mom loved him. :) Thank you, Pat! Our friends had a blast!

What can I say about DJ Pat that would be enough to thank him for making our wedding an absolutely wonderful experience? From the very beginning, he was able to get a feel for our personalities and put together an amazing play list. The website was easy to use and navigate, making the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. The day of the wedding, DJ Pat was INCREDIBLE. He worked closely with our day of coordinator and when she discovered someone had taken down the lights in the trees we wanted, DJ Pat came to the rescue with these awesome laser lights that looked like millions of tiny fire flies… for free! Needless to say, our reception was a blast and everyone was on the dance floor. I could not have asked for a better DJ and I would HIGHLY recommend Sound Prodigy. You will NOT be disappointed.

DJ Pat was our DJ for our wedding on 12÷12÷15 and he was amazing to work with. We wanted to hire someone that not only played good music but could MC the event and keep the timeline on schedule. DJ Pat kept the night moving and played great music. I really felt like the night flowed perfectly.
When we met with him before the wedding he gave us great advice with the timeline and the dos and don’ts based on all of his experience. He has an online platform for clients that makes it really easy to add songs for the first dance and entrance.
Our guests had such a great time! We did not want the night to end!

We Had the pleasure of working with DJ Danny for our wedding and I could not be happier. He did a great job keeping everything running smoothly according to the time line. Kept the music flowing and the guest dancing making for a memorable night of dancing with our guest. I can not recommend DJ Pat and DJ Danny enough they were super easy to work with and provide a great service.

We were referred to Pat through a mutual friend after emailing multiple DJs for our wedding day. As soon as we left the first interview we knew he was the one! He’s funny, professional, has great music knowledge, and is literally a one stop shop! We booked him not only for 6 hours of DJ service — that’s right, pre-​ceremony all the way through to the end; we also used his videography, uplighting, and photobooth services! He is reasonably priced, very easy to work with, and all services were provided without issue or question. His online database is super easy to use, and made planning and staying in contact a breeze. After the wedding multiple people raved about the music and his MC skill, and a family friend is already booking him for a Quincinera coming up this January! I’ll definitely recommend DJ Pat to anyone for any of their DJ needs :)

Ok so I read a gajillion Unilocal reviews for DJs and my eyes were starting to cross after a while… some were ok but a lot of them really nickel and dimed you. when I asked DJ Pat for a quote I was shocked with how reasonable it was for everything that he offered. He was so generous with his services and I couldn’t understand why. I really thought there would be a catch but there wasn’t! He said he just truly loves what he does and wants to stay busy doing what he does so he didn’t want to charge more! He provided us with a photo booth, cake lighting, general uplighting, waterfall lighting, extra speakers for the tent, extra time etc for the same price as another’s DJs price for just music alone! His presentation was great with his office he has in El Cajon (and even gives free starbucks drinks there:)
I think the ultimate thing about choosing him was his website!!! It was a little hard to get ahold of him on the phone because he’s super busy but he has an appointment system so if I ever needed to talk to him or see him in person I could make an apt on the site and we’d have his attention no matter what! I was worried at first about the communication, but if I just made an appointment through the website it was no problem. Really though, the website is so inclusive that once you have your initial planning meeting, you don’t really need to bug him too much about song choices because he makes it so easy to do through the website! Our planning meeting was great and he gave us a ton of suggestions and recommendations that we definitely followed. he’s extremely experienced and really knows his stuff.
On his website he had a slot for everything… he let you have 25 must plays and 30 play if possible songs and he definitely delivered! The songs we hadn’t requested were excellent choices too and he kept the party going for our 1.5 hour extended dance party! We had crowd surfing, people throwing (literally) and chair dancing and it was just incredible. better yet he even sent me some video footage he took from after our videographer left of these crazy things! His website also created the timeline for everything and basically provided a solid go to for coordination. I used his website as a reference when I talked to all the vendors and it was amazing! I can’t imagine trying to do it all with any other DJs through the paper worksheets they offered. and some didn’t even have that so i don’t know how the others do it!
Overall DJ Pat was an amazing choice for us. our wedding was incredible. everyone had the best time and everyone loved the Photo Booth and the venue looked amazing from all the uplighting! He made everything so easy and our wedding went off without a hitch! Thank you DJ Pat for an amazing night and everything else leading up to it!

My husband and I hired DJ Pat from Sound Prodigy as our DJ for our October 17^th wedding. From the start he was incredibly responsive, organized, and professional. We really enjoyed our planning meetings with him, and he always had great suggestions. We didn’t really know what we were doing in terms of song selection, so he basically walked us through it to ensure it was a great event. He definitely has the voice of an epic DJ, but not in a cheesy way. He got all of the songs we picked just right (I’ve heard some horror stories about other DJs); and the entire wedding ran smoothly. We heard countless times from guests about how great he was, and how much they enjoyed the music. THANK YOU DJ Pat for helping make our wedding so incredible! We will recommend you anytime we get the chance!

I booked Sound Prodigy for my wedding on Sept. 12^th at the El Cortez. From the initial conversations that I had with DJ Pat & DJ Joe, they were absolutely awesome to work with. They were familiar with my venue and seemed very invested in my wedding and what my husband and I wanted for our wedding entertainment. When I met them in person, they were really nice guys and I could tell they had vast experience in DJing weddings. I felt extremely relieved after our meeting and going over our timeline in detail. I also really loved the online portal that they created for me and my guests to add songs and change anything in the timeline. After meeting them, I knew I could trust them with the huge responsibility of making my wedding awesome. DJ Joe was our MC/​DJ for the wedding and he did NOT disappoint. He is super fun, nice, and really knows how to read a crowd. He was also very easy going and was really approachable with my guests. I can’t say enough nice things about him and I am so happy with how it all turned out. I had high expectations for my wedding entertainment and Sound Prodigy fulfilled them for sure!

DJ Pat and everyone at Sound Prodigy were so helpful and fun to work with! My (now) husband and I went to our initial consultation with Pat having no real ideas for potential songs and he had so many suggestions and helpful tips! Plus we ended up using one of their awesome VW photo booth busses which were a big hit with our guests. Being able to make payments without any pressure or set dates really helped too. We would definitely recommend Sound Prodigy to everybody!

What an amazing company! We had the honor of having DJ Joe at our wedding and he was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. He was so prepared and organized. He knew everyone’s names and all the specific details of our ceremony and reception. When our caterer was late he reworked our timeline with us and even helped serve champagne for the toasts!!! DJ Pat worked with us for months ahead of time and was very thorough and helpful! Since we did not have a wedding planner, out wedding would not be the same without them! 100% recommend these guys for weddings!

DJ Pat is passionate, professional, and was the icing on the cake to a perfect wedding.
As a DJ he was able to keep the dance floor full all night. He has a great ear for music and seamlessly blends songs together to keep people dancing. He also has an amazing collection of songs and is willing to find songs if he doesn’t already have them. He also was very helpful in working with my family, our venue coordinator, and guests. It really was great to have him make announcements and kept things organized throughout the night.
As owner of Sound Prodigy he is willing to work with your style and themes for the wedding but also offers great suggestions to create a seamless event. He is very professional and accommodating to work with. My best memory of our wedding planning session was when he and my wife had a wonderful conversation about Disney inspired music and got to hear some amazing pieces of music that weren’t fully released to the public. It really added that unique touch to our wedding that our guest were blown away by!
Sound Prodigy also did our uplighting for the venue. DJ Pat has experience in lighting and visual effects so he nailed what we were looking for in terms of theme colors and «enchanting» décor. He has a keen eye and knows exactly how to add little touches of color to make your venue «pop».
Sound Prodigy has multiple services to offer on top of DJ, uplighting, and emceeing. He is flexible with options, and feel that he can offer much more than you would expect. He also delivers on his promises and has exceeded our expectations.
The personalized website was a huge help in planning our wedding. You can create playlists, choose songs for each special moment of the event, and add notes to so he doesn’t miss out on details. For instance, we were able to customize our first dance song and easily coordinate with us to get our edited version. He played it without any issue.
The only regret I have is that we couldn’t have him play music till the next morning (but he did play till the latest he could due to venue rules). When it was time to wrap things up my guests kept chanting, «One more song!» and he tore down the roof of the venue with the music.
All that being said: «We would hire him again in a heartbeat.» If you want someone who is professional, easy to work with (especially with your other vendors), respectful of your guests, and has a good vision of weddings then Sound Prodigy and DJ Pat should be your first choice. We never regretted it and looking back at all the pictures and fun we had with our guests; a big part of those smiles were because we had DJ Pat on our side the whole night to add to the celebration!!!

Dj Pat and DJ Joe are incredible. From the beginning, they were professional, experienced, never pushy, and catered to what we wanted our wedding to be. DJ Joe was our MC/​DJ for the evening and turned our elegant outdoor wedding into a fun party without interruption. The lighting was spectacular, the music selection was superb, guests kept commenting on the great song choices!

Review from Disneyland bride! DJ Pat is so awesome! We got married at the Disneyland castle last month, September 21, 2015. He’s definitely the way to go for Disney weddings. He’s an Disney expert, and he knows the Disney songs inside out. Our guests had so much fun at the wedding! We are so lucky to have him!
We got referred to DJ Pat through a Disney wedding blog. He has a lot of Disney wedding DJ experiences. We reached out to him because he has experiences at our reception venue, the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion at Disneyland Hotel. After some quotes and inquiries, we decided to go with DJ Pat! His pricing is highly competitive too!
He is not only a DJ, but he’s also a MC! He did a great job MC-​ing for our wedding! He hosted our reception, did announcements, and even hosted the bouquet toss! (He had an assistant with him so that he’s not splitting himself in half.) He’s professional in getting to know the people who will be giving out speeches and performing at the reception before the reception. His attention to detail has ensured that the reception is done perfectly. His personality eased the environment and made it really fun.
We had a planning meeting with him to discuss the details of our reception during the planning phase. We had our proposed schedule, then we made quite a few adjustments to our schedule based on his feedback, suggestions experiences. I feel like he’s like a wedding planner! He also provided a TV screen for our slideshow, which is about half of the price than another company we quoted with.
One thing though — They did uplight for us at an economical price, but the uplight colors didn’t match to the one we originally asked. We sent them a photo of pink and light blue uplight to match, but it turned out to be orange red and darker blue. That’s about it.
DJ Pat is presentable, professional, flexible, and affordable. Highly recommended for weddings, esp. Disney weddings!

We hired Sound Prodigy to DJ our wedding at the Martin Johnson House this past August 2015 and we are so happy with our decision. DJ Pat was far more than just a playlist and announcer, we was instrumental to making sure our wedding day went as planned and in many ways he even acted as a day of coordinator to ensure all the activities we had planned were on schedule. I honestly had numerous guest tell me how much fun they had and how great our DJ was.
After selecting Pat based off his professional approach and some great customer reviews, we were very please to received access to his online planning portal where we could easily select songs and assign them to the part of the night in which we want to hear them (ex. First Dance Song, Cocktail Music, Cake Cutting…). Although we had an idea of what songs we were were looking for (added some songs we though were ‘must plays’), we really wanted to leverage Pat’s experience for the remaining songs selections. He helped us select songs that would excite our guest, yet were consistent with our style and the ambiance of the venue. I felt like this was one of the best things about working with Pat because he helped us plan the music around our vision while still appealing to all the generations that attended our big day.

We used Sound Prodigy for our 10 year High School Reunion’s Photo Booth. From start to finish, the Photo Booth was a complete success. Creative props, quality equipment, spectacular photos, and superb service & response time. I would give them 20 stars if that was an option! The event was truly a success & Sound Prodigy’s Photo booth was a huge part of it!!! I cannot thank them enough!

We worked with DJ Pat for our wedding this past weekend. Overall, it was a good experience with a few minor hiccups. The music mix was great, and the dancing was one of the highlights of the weekend.
1) It was difficult to get a timely response from Pat, and when we did, it felt like he made excuses for not responding (I.e. message went to junk mail)
2) We were informed that he would dress professionally with a tie that matched our wedding colors. However, this did not occur. I would have liked to see a little more professionalism for our event.

DJ Pat was fantastic from start to finish for my wedding on May 22, 2015. He played a wonderful array of music and everyone seemed to have a blast at our wedding! Including us of course! He is very professional and reliable! Thanks for everything!

We can’t thank DJ Pat and his Company «Sound Prodigy» enough for everything he did for my Wife and I… He worked with us for almost a year planning our wedding… He was always there when we had questions or concerns… Not only did he Rock the party!!! He coordinated the entire wedding… He also created our lighting, supplied sound for the ceremony, supplied an ENDLESS photo booth that our guests loved… He also supplied 5 Video/​Photo cameras for our guests to capture our wedding from the guest point of view… It was unbelievable how great everything turned out… He also supplied us with an Online profile to create a play list right down to the last minute… And when your play list isn’t getting your guests on the dance floor, he knows when to adjust to get them dancing!!! We can list so many positive words to describe DJ Pat, but the one word we can describe DJ Pat is AMAZING. We were in need of a DJ 3 weeks prior to our wedding reception and luckily my now husband was searching on the internet and came across Sound Prodigy and found DJ Pat. He called DJ Pat to inquire and right away he was able to make an appointment for us to meet with him. When we met with him, he welcomed us in his office with a friendly smile, kind demeanor and offered drinks (water, soda, tea) prior to discussion. He introduced himself, shared his experience as a DJ and entertainer, how many weddings he has done (he has done thousands!) and the types of weddings he has done at all sorts of locations. He was very open, honest and everything he mentioned about his work gave both my husband and I a high interest in having him as our reception DJ. What was even more impressive, was the fact he offered to host our reception and also provides photobooth services. Another bonus, he offered lighting for our reception venue and lighting for our cake table and of course we could not turned that down because that was also important for the reception. He taught us how to use the online Client Planner Account which was a great tool for us to select a list of songs we would like him to play at our reception. He also worked on the reception itinerary to get us started and all we needed to do was make any changes if needed. A package with a DJ, emcee, special lighting and photobooth that was a good deal, we both came out of the office happy with our decision.
On 4÷11÷15, the night of our wedding reception, he did what he had planned perfectly — greeting guests when they arrived (cocktail hour), bridal party introduction, first dance, etc. During dinner and dance, he played the songs we requested and got the guests going to the dance floor! He was a very entertaining emcee and everyone enjoyed it. We had a small guest list of 81 but a lot of the guests were dancing and enjoying the music he was playing. He had also brought with him assistance for the photobooth with props which turned out great and everyone enjoyed it! Our guests took photos, glued them in a book and wrote notes for us. By the end of the night, the book was given to us as a keepsake. Overall, our wedding reception turned out wonderful, the guests had a great time and us newlyweds enjoyed DJ Pat’s entertainment. Our wedding night is definitely a memorable night of great times and great company. If you want a DJ/​emcee/​photobooth at your wedding who is very friendly, professional, nice to speak and plan with and has a great personality, DJ Pat is the one to go to. He did a wonderful job and I highly recommend DJ Pat for any special event as he will make it a great one! Thank You DJ Pat!

This guy did an awesome job dj-​ing! provided lights and great quality music. We hired him for our school dance/​fundraiser and he was great with all the constant fuss and high schoolers.
Super nice guy and was willing to make announcements throughtout the night as well as keep games moving.
He does a great job of working around and schedule and takes song requests (only plays what you and your guest want!).
Overall this dj was nice and good to work with. I would recommend him to anyone who wanted a great quality dj who is willing to help with games, songs, announcements, etc.
