If I could give him less I would. I went there by myself on Halloween one bartender 20 people maybe 30 guests not that many i sat at the bar for about five minutes with no recognition finally after waving my money I was given the beer after the beer was gone I continue to sit again with more money in my hand continuously being ignored at which point I voiced my issue somewhat rudely but nevertheless 20 – 30 people on Halloween night and one bartender is not that many. the point here if you’re not a regular and you’re an outsider… you probably won’t be given the attentions as a paying customers should. be prepared it’s the good old boys club beware…

The bar has drinks at the right price. Went there one Sunday and they had fish tacos that where delicious. Bartenders are always very friendly. Place is small but homey.

Pretty much a dive by but it gets the job done! It’s close to home so my husband and I can walk. Been there about 4 times and always see the same bartender, don’t know her name but she’s very nice and comes to our table to check every so often. We’ve never had any problems there and people seem to mind their business and just have fun.

My favorite spot to go while I’m waiting for my tires at discount tire. Friendly and fun any time of the day.

My husband and I decided to check this place out because it’s sort of in our hood. As far as dive bars go, it was fine. We went around 10 on a Saturday and there were quite a few people there. It was a good mix of a crowd(didn’t appear to be just a few regulars like some of the other reviews stated), and we felt welcome and comfortable. We played darts and ended up having to move one of the tables over a bit so we could access the dart board. The group at the table was totally friendly and fine and didn’t bat an eye at us for wanting to play and asking if we could move the table over about 6 inches. I made the mistake of trying to take my drink out on the patio to smoke, but the bartendress only called out to me and said«You gotta leave your beer inside». I nodded, left it on the shelf inside the door, and it was no problem. All in all, we enjoyed it, and we’ll go back. It’s a hell of a lot better than most of the dive bars in El Cajon, that is for sure!

I don’t care if this place is owned by a retired cop or not… i got kicked out of this bar after buying a pitcher… just because i went utside to smoke a cigarette and one of el cajon random tweekers came up to me trying to sell me drugs… whoever the bar mom is should probably get some glasses cause that shit was straight funny… then again if your old this is the perfect dive bar for ya…

Really clean dive bar, almost to traditional standards. Went there to play pool with my lady and we went in and got drinks. All the regulars stopped talking and stared when we bellied up. The bartender was nice … enough but there was no room for a generous pour due to exact measuring. We played pool and drank for a while, sparked up conversations with a few of the regulars… The weirdest part it was quiet enough to hear a mouse queef! No laughing, singing, or loud jokes. I was by far the loudest person there, making the occasional joke. The only sound was the dull murmur of the regs talking about their upside down mortgages and their second cousin with the shingles. If you wanna get lost in a bottle at a very low key bar, this is the place. If you want to party, laugh and sing and spill beer, this is not the place. All in all I won’t be returning just for the fact I felt judged the entire time, and was getting sideways looks for having fun.

I’ve been coming here since 2006. I think it’s a nice neighborhood bar that’s clean and has very reasonable beer prices. They no longer have karaōke, but do have two pool tables, darts, and a couple of video games.
