My name is James but to most of my fellow San Diegans I’m simply known as Jim. In the year 2000 I started PDS with the vision of becoming San Diego’s premier independent family and locally owned and operated company. For the last 15 years PDS has serviced San Diego, and we are proud to call each and every customer a loyal and valued neighbor. I run a solid honest hard working company and hire only the best of the best, because we value the relationships we have and plan to carry on in our future.

Its nice to deal with people value your business! After using Ameri@#$(now County Proflame) for 25 years I finally had enough of their terrible inept performance and customer service!
Jim was perfect, on time, friendly, and professional! I would rate him at the highest levels.
If you’re tired of being ignored, and receiving poor service give Jim a call!

Jim took good care of us! With the cold weather we ran out of gas over the weekend and needed more quickly! He brought us an emergency tank on the same day we called him and made sure it wouldn’t happen again by upgrading our 100 gallon tank to 250!

Wow… Can’t answer simple questions regarding starting service ie* when can you schedule me for install and fill? Reply-​well were really busy. Me. Ok I understand no sweat… So, this month next month? …I don’t know maybe you should use someone else. Yea I think I might do that if it’s this big of a problem then I’m not sure I need to do business with rude and incapable people thanks for letting me know now instead of you guys not being able to do your job later! We are so thrilled that we switched to PDS for our propane service! We highly recommend everyone else to switch if you aren’t already using them for your propane needs. The owner, Jim fit us into his schedule almost immediately for a site survey and showed up right when he said he would. Then when we ran out of propane all it took was one quick call to Tomi, Jim’s sister and within an hour she had arranged one of their trucks to be at our home with our propane refill! Nothing like dealing with a well run local family business~ thanks PDS!

I have had PDS for over 5 years competitive pricing and great customer service. Over the weekend my regulator went bad on my tank and Jim was there right away to get us back up and running with a new one at no charge.

We had PDS install a new tank at our home. First, I had to have someone come to assist them in installing the tank, they were not able to get it into my backyard. Then, then overfilled my tank despite my request to only fill to a certain limit. They then charged me for the overfill. Despite their error, I was making payments on the account. I was told that I could have 30 days to begin making payments. While I was away on vacation they came and removed the tank, without notice. When I called to find out what was going on they indicated that they had called me several times and I had not called back. This was not the case at all but he did not care and would not be rectifying the situation. I would hate for any other customers to be mistreated and stolen from as we have. Please do not use this company.

I just moved to Ramona and in preparation I started calling around to find my propane provider. When I called PDS, I didn’t feel the need to make any more calls. They were the most accommodating to my schedule, able to adjust twice after escrow got delayed, and they had the lowest price in comparison by far.
I can’t imagine a situation where I would use another company.

I recently called PDS and am very impressed with the customer service. My elderly grandparents live in Pine Valley, Ca and last month I was helping them review and pay all of their bills when I realized that they were paying a big portion of their money to propane. So when I got a post card from this local family propane company I decided to check them out to see what they could offer. For someone who doesn’t know a lot about propane I got every question I had answered, and I felt confident that by switching services to PDS that my grandparents will be getting a better deal with a local family company which I really like.

I have been dealing with PDS for about 12 years now, I am a business owner in San Diego and we run 5 fork lifts constantly. If I ever run out of propane its like closing the doors for hours until we have propane again. Thank s to PDS and their efficient delivery drivers we have never had to experience that. There have been a few times where we have worked a longer schedule than normal and have used more gas than average. All it took was a phone call at 8:00 pm and within an hour or so the owner himself showed up with extra tanks to keep us moving. I deal with many local vendors and may I say it’s always a pleasure to work with PDS. I have a choice to use any one I want… I want PDS.

Yesterday, I found myself in a terrible situation! We had no propane AND we didn’t have a current propane provider! (It’s a long story!) I called PDS to inquire about setting up a new account and was greeted with a kind voice on the other end of the line. Jim was helpful and was eager to assist me. He came out to evaluate my needs, do a safety check and install my new propane tank, all within a span of 4 hours! If you’ve ever tried to switch companies or get your propane filled ASAP– you KNOW that this timeframe is amazing! I am very happy with my new propane company and I will definitely be telling my family and friends all about PDS for their future needs!

We have always had great service from Jim at PDS. Always keeps us full, and I have never had a problem reaching them. Competitive in price and always goes beyond the minimum service dealing with our dogs and gates. I would defiantly recommend them.
