After a terrible haircut at Walkin Salon By Robert Cromeans I started asking everyone I knew for a recommendation. My husband went to work and told his co-​workers as well. One of his co-​workers said she knew just the person and even texted her to book an appointment for me.
Today I met my new favorite hair stylist, Leanna. She is usually booked a couple weeks in advance but squeezed me in for my hair emergency. I was worried she would have to take another 3 – 5 inches off my hair, to correct what the other stylist did, but she was a magician and was somehow able to keep a lot of length. I have a lot of hair but it is pretty thin, so a stylist really needs to know what they are doing to keep the layers on point. She got rid of the crooked ‘V’ in back and smoothed out the layers. It no longer looks choppy or longer on one side. She was able to make a lot of beautiful long layers. I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy with a haircut! She brought to life what I was picturing in my head!
To top off her mad skills, she is a super sweet and funny lady. I look forward to seeing her again.

Lisa Leonard has been my stylist for a few years now. She is amazing with color. She is very professional and a sweetheart. She is very dependable. She did my hair for a quincera last Saturday. I received so many compliments. Desiree who is a receptionist at the salon also does make up. She did my make up for me and it was perfect. She took the time to listen to me and understand what I wanted. I couldn’t of felt more beautiful leaving the salon.

I love this salon! Been coming here for six years! If you need anything ask for LEXI! She is an amazing stylist and colorist. I have never left the salon disappointed! Hurry and book your appointments with her before she’s all full!

I love it here! I just want to live here and never leave! Mallori is an absolute angel! I love that I can just text her hair ideas and she’s responds quickly. She is always honest about what she is doing with my hair and won’t let me leave until I’m 100% happy (which I always am)! Love you girl!!!

I have been going to Lexi for a few years– she is a hair magician! She always understands what I want and is the only person in San Diego that I trust to touch my hair with scissors. Natalie is the best for brows! Every girl who works here is super sweet and this salon is always clean. Services are affordable. Love this place!

So this review is regarding my mother. I am a professional hair stylist and am very accomplished with my skills, however I do not perform extensions. My mother has been going to this salon for her extensions with a stylist named Vickie. My mom came home for me to do her hair color and she was in tears after seeing Vickie! Vickie was not paying attention and talking the whole time to the stylist next to her and this other stylist’s client instead of focusing on her own client. She started cutting and cutting and cutting the extensions she just put in and did a horrible job. It was 4″ shorter than my mom’s hair had been before the extensions! Not only did she make my mom’s hair SHORTER, the extensions were completely unblended and looked like heavy dog ears with a shapeless CHIN LENGTH BOB! As my mother’s stylist, I calmed her down and she asked Vickie about the mishap, hoping she would re do her bad work. What is the point of extensions when the idiot stylist cuts them and the client’s hair to make it shorter than when she came in?! My mom had been trying to grow her hair and it was 4″ below her shoulder before seeing Vickie. it was the longest my mother’s hair had ever grown but it All went goodbye. Vickie responded viciously and argued denying she cut that much. As a stylist who used to do extensions myself… I know that extensions need to be BLENDED and yes, that entails cutting a little bit but who the heck doesn’t pay attention, charges someone hundreds of dollars for LONGER hair and screws up to make the LONG EXTENSIONS to the chin?! My mom was crying all night because her own natural hair has been growing longer than ever and it was bluntly cut short into dog ears… shame on you, Vickie for not taking responsibility and simply apologizing! As a stylist myself, if a client and myself ever had a misunderstanding, I would cater to their needs further because ultimately, I want everyone who leaves my chair to be thrilled and have great things to say about my work. I recommended my mother to a different extension salon and he fixed it in half the time and made it look as long and natural as her hair was before. It is really too bad though that now my mom’s natural hair is back to square one. Extremely disappointing. Never ever go to Vickie!!!

Just left the salon after another amazing cut and color by Lynsey Hunter! Have been going to her for many years and she has saved me from a few self inflicted hair disasters! She takes her time with each client and doesn’t overbook! Would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a great stylist!

Claudia’s work is phenomenal. She is very welcoming and immediately creates the right atmosphere for your massage session. I know just how skilled Claudia’s touch is — I am a Certified Massage Therapist myself and have received massages from many therapists in California and across Asia. She blends gentleness and firmness so well. If you need focused Deep Tissue she will find your muscle knots with finesse and stay with them until they release. Equally, for the days you are in the mood only for a lighter full body massage, she also delivers every time. After 90mins on her table I emerged so refreshed, relieved of pain and tension and ready to take on all that life offers. I didn’t want the session to end and will be back to see her again at least once a month to ensure that I gain the most benefit from this excellent preventative healthcare therapy.

I have been coming to this saloon for several years now and have been working with Lynsey for at least 10 years. She is amazing and I have loved every color and/​or cut she has done on me. Very professional and will give her honest feedback/​advice on a color or cut I am unsure about. The saloon itself is very cute and almost like a little boutique. They have a mani. station and a little boutique with several cute clothing pieces and jewelry. The location is tucked away in a business lot but there is always parking available.

I got my brazilian done today by Natlie loved her work shes very gentle and friendly. Im so coming back to her always.

Ahna Spencer is awesome! I went to her because a co-​worker referred her, and now I will be referring her to everyone! I love my hair! She did awesome!

The best place to have perfection done to your hair. If its Stacey that is. I’ve followed her for years and I won’t allow anyone else to touch my hair but her. I tell her what I want and I get great results. The salon is lucky to have her. The salon itself is very cute inside and clean. See you next month for my appt.

Been coming here for awhile and Lexi is amazing!!! I would highly recommend her for all your needs! She is very professional and knowledgeable about all hair types. Also she did my hair and my bridal party’s hair for my wedding and everything turned out amazing!

Just got my nails done! Looooove especially my glittery accent nails. I am hooked and will be going to Alana from now on she was sweet and makes you feel comfortable and most importantly does a great job! GO SEE ALANA… First time and I’m hooked!

The owner (I’m guessing) of the salon responded to my review. Not what I was expecting. I received a phone call apologizing on behalf of the salon and offering a free haircut to their salon with the hairstylist I had. I was informed that they held a staff meeting surrounding my review and that it was taken very seriously. I appreciate the phone call and the effort that they took to respond to my review. Though I don’t think I’ll be back to the salon, their response was appropriate and I respect the owner for responding as she did.

I went to get a mani-​pedi for my birthday and I left more than satisfied with the job Alana did. She did my mani and pedi right on time for when my appointment started. All the utensils she used were clean and she was very careful of to not hurt me. She is so nice and I really had a great time. I would completely recommend this place and Alana. I can’t wait to try to get my hair done there!

I LOVE LOVE This salon! It is a full service, gorgeous salon and has a small boutique located inside the shop with *not your run of the mill* tops, dresses, jewelry, and accessories.
I have had various cut/​colors and treatments here from Lexi (the owner) and Leanna plus my kids have had great haircuts/​style and eyebrow waxing from the best of the best, Ms. Jackie Stermon. The atmosphere is always friendly & upbeat. If you’re in East County, this place is super convenient and if you’re not, it’s worth the trip. All of the stylists are talented. Five stars!

Lexi, the salon owner, did my hair and makeup as well as hair and makeup for my bridesmaids in my wedding this past October. I had a «look» in mind and came to my trial appointment with some magazine cut-​outs of my vision. Lexi nailed it! My hair and make-​up was soft and natural, and yet absolutely glamorous at the same time. The girls looked stunning as well! Each with a slightly different look, but still all tied together, which is exactly what I wanted.
Lexi is so incredibly talented, experienced, and knowledgeable. She worked quickly and had all 6 of us girls ready to go on time for photos. I would highly recommend Lexi and her staff at Ooh La La for brides and bridal parties!

I found Ooh LaLa salon because my esthetician, Erica, moved there about a year ago. I’ve been seeing Erica for my waxing needs for about 3 years now and as long as she’s in business, I will go no where else. I love her warm spirit and high energy. She is caring and professional, especially when one is succumbing to the Brazilian waxing procedure. If you’ve had one, then you KNOW that vulnerable feeling! She can be a bit chatty at times, like times when I am mentally preparing for the «rip» and just want to be quite and focus, but I simply adore her spunk, intelligence and warmth. I don’t have the heart to tell Erica to «shush» for just a moment. :-D
The salon itself is absolutely darling! I love the Parisian feel and the feminine flair. What a neat place to feel pampered.
