They are the LG repair specialists. Twice LG has made appointments for me, both times The company cancels and changes appointment. I would not choose to use this company, and I definitely encourage you to never buy an LG product.

They are responsive and honest. The technician tested the electrical connections to the stove and also replaced a faulty part. He was able to show us that the main problem was related to the circuit breaker. That was a simple fix for my handyman. No problems since!

Best service in town! Without a doubt these guys go above and beyond. I have bought appliances from them and used their service for repair. Would definitely recommend to everybody I know, the staff is superb!

I dropped a heavy glass salt shaker on my stove, breaking the glass cook top. I did some research and found the part on line… the price range was EXPENSIVE TO… VERY EXPENSIVE. I called two appliance stores to find out how much they could get it for. The first store was crazy insane expensive. The second store was La Mesa Appliance. They quoted a fair price, and they got it in a week. The people treated me fairly. I’m happy with the order. It wasn’t cheap, but it was a fair price. I would HIGHLY recommend these folks.

I’ve never posted on Unilocal before unless it was only to say good things and give a 5-​star rating to a company that I believed warranted it. It’s always been a rule of mine only to post for the only the highest of stars because I’m not out to ruin or break any company otherwise. However, after my experience with this La Mesa Appliance, I had to rethink my own rule.
I had the WORST experience with this company. Word of warning, they charge a very high service fee **which is really just a diagnosis fee for a man to come out look at your appliance (literally, LOOK at the appliance and only push a few buttons and tell you what’s wrong when you prod him to look at it a bit more)** and when he’s told you the problem, instead of rolling that fee — or even PART of the fee — into the cost to fix it, they charge you an additional VERY HIGH fee for the labor and a third for the parts which basically equates to what it would cost to replace the entire machine. I called them because they were given by the Frigidaire customer care number as a company that serviced their machines but after the visit I did some looking, called other companies and found that they were WAY over priced and even lied about the part being specialty and always having to be ordered (maybe that’s true for them but THREE other appliance stores in the area had the part in stock). When I called back to cancel the appointment/​ordering of the part within an hour and a half of when I had made the appointment for them to service/​fix the dishwasher, I got an angry call from the office telling me I had to pay a 20% restocking fee on the part because it had already been ordered. Mind you this was AFTER I had already paid them $ 80 for basically nothing. I ended up getting another company to come look at the appliance, repair the part in the same day and the total charge ended up as HALF of what La Mesa appliance was going to charge me.
If it were just that they were overpriced, I could get over that and I would not be writing this review, plain and simple. I understand companies must charge certain prices to make a living. My main issue for writing this review was that the service was TERRIBLE and the people that are employed through the company do not know the first thing about how to treat a client. When I received a call from the man who schedules the appointment, Tyler, to get a payment for the part that had been ordered and cancelled in the same day, he was rude, talked over me as I was trying to explain that I had cancelled the appointment within the same day, and his tone was mostly condescending the entire time («we’ve been in business since 1978… you have no knowledge of the business ma’am.»). I’m sorry if your distributor didn’t get the message to cancel the part because it was too late in the day and so it was already shipped. You should have told me about the restocking fee WHEN I CALLED TO CANCEL THE PART! So, don’t call me back the next day and say I owe you MORE money because the part had already gone through. I may not know anything about YOUR business practices but I’m smart enough to know that that is NOT good business. Here’s what it comes down to: sometimes, Tyler, you may have to eat that $ 10 if it means not calling, harassing and then hanging up on a client the next day because you tried to shake them down for more money and they refused because in the long run, was that $ 10 more worth the damage of your reputation?
Dissatisfied beyond belief.

If there were negative stars that’s how I would rate La Mesa Appliance.
Do yourself a favor and NEVER do business with this company.
We had a warranty claim with our extended warranty company. La Mesa Appliance was the designated provider.
La Mesa Appliance scheduled us like 2 – 3 weeks out from our request. They showed up and determined we did indeed need a new GE refrigerator door and other parts for our GE Advantium oven.
In a follow up call with Tyler at LMA we were told parts were on order and it would take while.
Fast forward 3 weeks later and we’ve heard nothing. So we call LMA and guess what, they’ve decided they don’t want to do the work because the insurance company isn’t paying them enough!
Nice of LMA to let US know. They swear that they let the insurance company know, but in fact, the insurance company tells us quite the opposite. The repairs were supposed to be in process!!!
Our insurance company is now picking up the pieces for us. Wonder how long that will take?

Repair man was late. Start to finish he was driving away in 10 minutes. A simple repair of reconnecting a level tube. No parts involved and charged $ 149. I’m sure they know stuff, the guy was polite but the charge was outrageous. If the charge was left at the $ 79 call fee this would be a different review. I’ll find somewhere else next time. Unethical Businessman Buyer Beware!!!

Extremely dissatisfied. Not only with the technician who had a «I don’t really want to put any effort forth» attitude but the gentleman who answers the phones who schedules the appts. Our Monogram refrigerator was leaking on a Friday night. We called Saturday early morning. We explained that it had been leaking. He told us that they couldn’t get out to us till the following Thursday. I explained that we had to turn the water off otherwise it would continue to flood the rest of the house. Thursday when the tech arrived he said «well since the water was turned off I can’t see where the leak was coming from». In addition he acted as if he didnt know our type of refrigerator. We were charged $ 99. I contacted the off in which the rude gentleman finally stated that I should have turned the water back on the day before the tech was to arrive. I explained to him that he never told us that. La Mesa Appliance then told me that I should leave the water on so they could find the leak next time. So I asked him, «When I call back and tell you there is a leak how far out are you going to schedule a tech? Because I can’t leave the water on for five days». The gentleman got rude and stated that they can’t send someone out if they don’t have any openings. I tried to calm him down and state that in the future maybe he needs to inform the customer to turn the water on before the appt that way the customer won’t waiste $ 99. The gentleman got very aggravated and defensive and even more rude.

LG service set up an appointment directly with them for our problematic dishwasher that’s covered under warranty. The appointment wouldn’t work for day and time, so I called La Mesa Appliance to discuss. The guy on the phone was very rude and impatient, and made it clear that we’d be liable for a $ 79 service call plus labor if this was an «installation issue». I asked him how we’d know if it was an installation issue and he said to have our plumber back out first.
Next morning, plumber comes out and it’s NOT an installation issue so I want to change the appointment. Instead, the same rude guy said that he CANCELLED my appointment and I’d have to get in touch with LG to get a new one. I said that I never asked him to cancel it, that we were simply checking with our plumber first as he suggested. He said, «That doesn’t matter». I told him I’m calling LG back (not that I had a choice) … I did and I told them to schedule us with a different company.
If they can’t even have a somewhat pleasant attitude on the phone, how will it be with the tech here at my home?

Bruce is awesome. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. Has help me and my friends over the years when it comes to appliance repair and maintenance.

Through the warranty on our relatively new Whirlpool dishwasher, we were connected with La Mesa Appliance Repair. I got the owner on the phone and he was very apologetic that they just had no room on their schedule until the following week. I was in despair because we were having a houseful of company arriving the next night. He put me on hold for a little bit and then came back to the phone having moved things around such that he could send a technician over the very next day. He couldn’t have been more empathetic. And then on the following day, Isidro showed up, and with great skill and loads of personality, he not only fixed the dishwasher, but he walked me through everything I should do to avoid this from happening the next time. He was clean, quick, professional, with a boatload of courtesy. We live a fair distance away from them but will seek them out in the future. They are that good.

Let me just start off by saying how appreciative I am to Bruce for being so very patient with me. After a number of confusing e-​mails on which dryer I wanted to purchase for one of our locations, I finally came to a decision, submitted payment, and scheduled a date and time for delivery. Unfortunately, what I failed to realize was that the dryer I needed was a gas dryer, not an electric dryer. Needless to say, the men who delivered the electric dryer kindly re-​hooked the old dryer up and took back the new dryer. I called Bruce right away and he fortunately had the correct dryer on hand and said he could have it delivered the same day! I half expected him to tell me I’d have to wait till the next week, but he didn’t. I felt horrible for putting him in this position after he had to endure weeks of confusing emails from me, but Bruce still managed to keep his cool and professionalism with me through the entire transaction. I would highly recommend going to this place. Thank you Bruce for being so patient with me! I know I put you through quite an ordeal.

We have a warranty on our washer and dryer and everytime I call to have them come out to look at my washer, it never gets fixed and they say there’s nothing wrong with it. My washer is moving a complete 180 degrees and all they do is mess with the feet then leave saying nothing is wrong with it but then the next time i do a load, it moves. I always load the washer evenly and it still moves. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! They have NO idea what they’re doing!

They always have great deals on used appliances. If you are aware of that being their niche you will do ok here. The appliances I bought for VERY good prices were superb (are all used and were for older rentals) and most the installs went ok. The one dryer that went to my ranch is AMAZING (119.00 plus install) It dries clothes without wrinkling them. They did cause a small flood in my townhome entry due to hooking the washer up wrong but not the end of the world. They came back out and fixed it. They wanted 25.00 so that was annoying because I did not charge them for the damage to my carpet (it is now tile!) but in the end, these guys are fine, just know you are not dealing with Nordstroms, they are good enough though and for used appliances you just can’t go wrong so take a look if that is what you need, just be sure to check their work (on installs) as I was not able to and that is why the leak was able to sit unnoticed. (it is a rental). Love the used stuff they keep in stock!!! I’d have given 5 stars except the attempt to charge me 25.00 for the repair on their own mistake, also they obviously did not realize the damage their install did to my carpet or maybe they would have been counting blessings rather than trying to charge me :) Will still use them. I will just be careful. **Nothing like them in San Diego for Used Appliances in my opinion** Keep up the good work guys.

I never write negative reviews, but I think this one is merited. I had La Mesa Appliance come out and inspect my range. It wasn’t getting to temp properly. The tech looked at it and stated the ignitor and safety valve needed to be replaced. The estimate: $ 1,000, not including their trip charge! I called the manufacturer to ask what the direct cost of the parts were. Turns our La Mesa Appliance’s markups on the two parts were 56−50% apiece. Not only that, but their tech didn’t even test the safety valve to see if it really needed to be replaced.
I called La Mesa Appliance seeking their explanation and, hopefully a refund of their $ 100 inspection fee since they didn’t even follow the manufacturer’s protocol. They were defensive and told me that because the range was expensive, then the repair would be expensive.
I had another repair company make the repair. Final bill: $ 413.00, including their trip charge. And of course, the safety value La Mesa Appliance had told me was defective but they failed to test, was not defective after all.
This company treated me like I was a piñata full of money that they could just take a whack at and they had no interest in explaining to me why their repair was going to cost significantly more. I’m so glad that I chose another more trustworthy company whose tech was very helpful and clearly knew his stuff.

I have an extended warranty for my dishwasher from Lowes. My dishwasher needs service so I called Lowe’ s and they set me up with this place a week ago. I got a call that same day for sooner appt (good start) but I was only available today. After that I did not receive any confirmation for my appt this morning between 8 – 12 (no worries I thought). SO its now 12:15 No call No nothing. I called this place, they called their tech and he was running late and will not be available till probably 1:30. It would of been nice to receive a phone call at least notifying me. I was asked if I wanted to wait, reschedule or cancel alltogether (really cancelling alltogether is given as an option?). (Mind you I took the day off from work so I can have this service done) No, I will find someone else even though my appliance is under warranty. I do value companies that are considerate.

My refrigerator stopped working on friday of last week and it’s a high end Samsung model. I was referred to LA mesa appliance by samsung who came to my house and did a diagnostic on my fridge. They ordered the part and showed up with the wrong part on Wednesday. By the time they figured it out it was too late to contact Samsung so I had to wait till the following day to be told that there was some sort problem with the manufacturer and they would recieve the correct part monday. The manager Bruce was extremely rude and argumentative so I cancelled the work order and decided to go with sears… and now I’m a happy customer… :)

I so agree with Liz G… I experienced the same. They canceled on my appointment the day of saying they don’t service my area «Rancho bernardo» two weeks after I made the apt. Without even giving me an alternate vendor to service my appliance.

If you are having a warranty repair forget this place. The tech. that came today had no idea how to remove the microwave and then stated that he would have to talk to his boss and call me tomorrow. He said they will have to order the parts and it would be another week or so. I have already waited two weeks for this repair and now we will not have a microwave for Thanksgiving. This is just unacceptable to me. Between the warranty insurce company and the repair shop I do not know which is worse. I am going to pay for the repair out-​of-​pocket in the hope it will get fixed in time.

Do not be the same idiots we were in buying used Washing Machines
from them at Sky high prices.
In the past two years we have bought two (2) large capacity washing machines from them scratched, but were told they run great for near
$ 200 for each one.
Both machines were complete garbage leaking and leaking water
after about 4 – 5 months of use for that kind of money. They give a 90 day
warranty for that money on a used machine and then they break right or after the 90 days.
Do not buy machines there for anything.
We have a friend who awhile back had the same exact experiece as us
and after paying near $ 200 for a garbage machine like use had to go out and spent
about $ 400 on a new machine.
Very nice people but they need to lower there price to near nothing for
the washing machine they claim work or stop selling used machines
and ripping the public off.
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. SINCE THERE ARE ALOT MORE
REPUTABLE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY SELL.
