Business Owner

Joe Mackey has nearly three decades of experience in business and management, with particular emphasis in the security, hospitality and event staffing industries. Joe provided events and security staffing at Texas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and worked in hospitality, tourism, and special event staffing in Las Vegas, including Las Vegas Convention Center, Cashman Field, and the Thomas and Mack Center. In 1996, Joe founded XL Staffing, one of San Diego’s largest staffing firms. He established Excell Security, Inc. in 2000 to meet demand for a professional security firm offering high levels of customer service. Excell Security has since grown into one of Southern California’s leading private security firms. Under Joe’s leadership, the firm developed and introduced the innovative Nightclub Security Program now utilized by nightclub owners and managers throughout San Diego, Los Angeles, and Hollywood.
