Frank, the owner, came out when the assigned technician was running late on another job. He diagnosed the two problems, and had them fixed within thirty minutes. Also gave me great advice on repairing/replacing under-cabinet lights that will save me time and money. The $ 85 charge was more than reasonable. I will use El Cajon Electric for any future electrical needs!

ok so to cynthia p. and all who read her complaint. there is a lot left un-said in her complaint. first off we have been in business for 53 years and have worked and work some of the most tedious of companies financially and quality. cynithia p. is from a company called golden management. she sent us a work order to check on a cieling fan that was coming away from the cieling. we troubleshooted the fan and found there previous electrican had hung the cieling fan using a non– fan rated box. thus causing the fan to fall out of the cieling. we had the material on our truck. so we removed the plastic box and installed a fan rated metal box and re-hung the fan. while we were there the tenant showed us everything else that was bad which included another cieling fan and several light fixtures around the house while we stepped around the weak floor boards to keep from falling through. we then reported all the found problems. beatrice from the same company approved the replacement of all mentioned problems fromn above. so her bill was actually for two techs and over 300.00 in material. when trying to explain the price to golden(cynthia or cyndi as she goes by) cyndi would not stop to wait and analyze what we were saying. we did not explain it like rocket science. we explained it as any electricain would. we specialize in senior parks and houses so we are used to coming down to lay-mens terms when explaining things. she just kept complaining that the bill was«so» high. we explained why they were so high. the«mexican«refernce came with a statement. we told her she should hire a mexican electricain who will work cheaper than we can since they usually dont carry insurance and can work cheaper due to no overhead. it was not a racist remark in our opinion cause it is a proveable fact. read on reviews about golden and you will see they are not a reputable company by any means. as far the other review we gave the couple an estimate over the phone. which would have made the job time and material. but they requested an estimate. so we gave them a price. and they signed the contract and we did the work. we never locked her in she was more than avail to get other estimates. when giving estimates we have to assume the worst case senerio. we always offer a time and material option that could be less or more. the moral is that there is always two sides to a story. and we would not be in business for over 50 years gouging people. and lawsuits are never a worry cause we are always in the right and if not more than willing to fix any errors. some people just arnt happy paying for real up to code services and that is the caes here.

Bad. Charged elderly couple $ 1500 for 20 minutes work running electric wire to ovens. Made holes in the walls and would not repair them. Ripped off.
