Diamond Hookah Lounge

I loved this place in the beginning but now it has turned into the hang out for every 18 year old in san diego…
They have DJ nights and play music so loud that you can’t even hear the person you are sitting next to. I go to lounges to hang out in a calm atmosphere and talk to friends. They still do all of the themed nights but now they added another one that I just can’t understand. Beer Pong night. They don’t sell alcohol so basically it’s water pong. But once again, not something I imagined to be happening at a hookah lounge.
There’s plenty of other lounges around the area that have this calm and relaxing atmosphere I want in a lounge so will now be going to other lounges. If I were to ever come back here it would be before 8pm because it’s less crowded and music is still at a decent level.

Being someone who very much loves hookah, this place is okay. Just OKAY!
Though beware of dirty water in your hookah and make sure you point it out if I know how to put together your hookah, cause it will be easy to spot.
Also the music bugged me when I went. Every hookah places, it’s loud obnoxious hiphop, rap, music played by a DJ who thinks it’s cool to blow people’s ears out. NO! We want to sit there, smoke hookah, at moderate level sound of music. Not listen to your DJ who wants to use the mic too much, and play the music so loud no one can hear the other person, not even the cashier for the hookah!
Go here early before the music blares.

I LOVE DIAMOND!!! The ONLY hookah lounge that i want to go to! Their customer service is just so amazing! Even if you don’t know them very well they’ll still walk up to you and say hi! Whatever you need they’re on it! The bowls are AMAZING! and they last FOREVER! I’ve been to vanish — staff so rude, fusion — always so hot and i get so sick, and they both only care about the money you’re spending and their drinks and snacks are so expensive! at diamond the most that i’ve seen is like $ 3 (that i can think of off the top of my head) so you know they’re not money hungry like these places! And their themed nights are always amazing! Definitely #1 hookah lounge in San Diego! Love you Diamond!

Great lounge with a great environment and employees who actually care and make sure you are enjoying the diamond experience. This lounge has amazing dj nights for the crowd who likes to turn up and dance. It also has laid back nights for those who are a little less social or just wanna chill

It’s an ok place. Rather bland on décor. Couches are comfy. Their tables are genius. Drilled to add support for the pipes, and lighting under the hookahs.
The flavors are excellent.
TIP: outs not on the menu but the manager recommended a horchata and spiced chai blend = cinnamon bun EPIC!
I have to deduct stars as:
1. I do not like the volume of the music played. I like going to lounges to relax and talk with friends. Last time I went there (yes a Friday night, I know) there was a DJ playing rap/​hop hop at dance club level volume. We could not hear/​talk. Ok, if it’s too loud. I’m too old.
2. Also, the last time I was there, I was there with a dozen friends, and we had 5 hookahs. 3 of said hookahs had white translucent flecks/​leaves floating in them. As a 14 year hookah smoker, that tells me that they do not clean the insides of their nargiles and stems well.
When we brought this to their attention, the management tried to say that this can happen with a clean hookah when you pack an Egyptian bowl. Yeah. No! Especially with diffusers attached to the stems, you are not cleaning everything.
After we discussed this a few minutes they did finally replace the pipes with clean ones, as well as a leaky hose.
But yeah, I won’t be going there in my own, again.

Great music, friendly people, service is awesome, and prices are great. New favorite place!

Great hookah, good music, and FANTASTIC service. The employees are extremely nice and are always making sure you’re taken care of.
You don’t have to wait or ask for coals, the employees are always looking around and checking on you.
Also, the prices are so decent! I will be making this my regular hookah spot!
I just wish they served beer!
