Jeff has been involved in the motor-​sports industry since 1996.

Previously at Aeromach Mfg in Santee where he designed aftermarket parts for Golf Carts, Full Size Trucks and American & Metric VTwin Motorcycles.

Currently Jeff specializes in distributing 6 volt & 12 volt deep cycle batteries for electric vehicles like GEM Car, Ford Think, EZGO, Yamaha, Club Car and Taylor Dunn Golf Carts.

I don’t normally give out five stars but these guys saved my a** last Friday. I ended up with not one but two cars with dead batteries at the same time. When I called and talked to Jeff he said he could have a truck out in less than 45 minutes. He and another mechanic arrived and had both batteries changed (which were in two different locations) within about 20 minutes. All that I had to do was give him my vehicle make and model and then he gave me some battery options. There quick service allowed me to get my car back on the road and pick up my kids from school on time. Thank you Jeff and other mechanic.

Just want to tell you how great your guys were installing our batteries on Friday. They were both super, above and beyond what was expected. Very professional, hard working, conscientious, polite and they did a fantastic job! Can’t even begin to give accolades they deserve as to your great service. None of us had any idea how bad the road conditions would be with the 4″ of snow from the day before, and how hard it was for them to get up to our cottage and bring in and out and install the eight batteries. My wife and I really appreciate you getting us up and running again with electrical power.

If you own a GEM car — Jeff if the guy to come out and install the batteries. He is very knowledgeable and prompt. Jeff came out to my house the day before the 4th of July so we could use our electric vehicle on the 4th of July. Jeff can also give you referrals to the best repair people available as well. What a great shop. I came in to buy one of their blemished AGM batteries for the solar project I’m messing around with. Not only was this family business helpful, and incredibly responsive (even after business hours), but they were careful as well. When I said I was switching over from flooded to AGM, Jeff was good enough to make sure I wasn’t going to ruin my new investment. What an investment too… Most AH AGM for the least price I’ve ever seen. You won’t find me back at Walmart for batteries any time soon.

I give these guys all my respect. The very first time i came here i had to take my battery back and the owner literally waited for me to get there instead of closing up shop. And even tho it was a problem my dad had done, the owner still took his time to fix my car. Jeff really knows what he is doing. He came out to originally replace 8 6V batteries for my John Deere eGator UTV. While there he suggested buying 6 8v instead, saving me around $ 250 even though that required him making a second trip out to my house to install. I strongly recommend Jeff.

We bought six Trojan 8 volt batteries for our golf cart. Jeff came out all the way from El Cajon to Encinitas to install those and give us tips for other parts. The batteries did not work as hoped, so Jeff had to come out two more times while they were under warranty to replace/​reinstall those. Jeff was quick to set up an appointment to replace the batteries on my coach. I told Jeff the wrong size but we were able to switch to the batteries he brought which ended up giving me about the same amp hours in a better battery at less overall cost. He would have been willing to get the exact replacement if I had insisted, but I trusted this option. He also repaired some funky wiring done by a previous owner. All while be very friendly and thorough. Skip all the others and use Jeff.

We found this company earlier this year when we were having difficulty with our new fifth-​wheel keeping a charge on the batteries that came with the coach. We contacted this company and Jeff came to our home and recommend and installed new batteries and disposed of the old ones, We do a lot of primitive camping and the batteries worked great! Then last week our truck batteries died and Jeff came bright and early the next morning and installed new batteries! Jeff is one of the most pleasant, professional individuals you will ever encounter. We would never use any one else for our battery needs.

Disclaimer: I have not yet purchased a battery from here yet. I will update once I do.
I bought a used RV and am in the process of installing a solar system. I currently have 2 — 12v RV batteries and want to swap them out to 6−6v golf cart batteries once the current batch dies out.
I researched batteries for this purpose and found recommendations for the Trojan T105/​T125 batteries to be the best. I then searched far and wide for a place to buy them. From my basic research, I found that the shipping costs pretty much kill any cost savings if you have to have them shipped or delivered from another place (including the factory in Costa Mesa, CA).
So I searched the best place to get these batteries in San Diego and found these guys. I found their price to be a notch below the others and I got pretty good straightforward answers from them for all my questions. I got the honest business vibe from them. I was quoted $ 125 and $ 140 for the T105/​T125 respectively (with a like-​for-​like core exchange) which is the best price that I have been able to find.
I am glad that there is a reputable battery dealer locally in San Diego and will be looking forward to chatting them up for my RV solar system install.

I own a fleet of golf carts in San Diego with batteries being our largest expense by a long shot. I have spent countless hours researching battery wholesalers, dealers, and services. Jeff at Deep Cycle is the best, hands down.
He has the best batteries for the best price. Many battery people make different amounts on different types of batteries. Most will persuade you to buy whatever makes them the most money. NOT JEFF. He will educated you on every type of battery, their prices, and what are the best for your specific vehicle. In addition, I have called Jeff numerous times about anything battery related — he almost always has an answer and if he doesn’t he will tell you, research it, and call you back with one.
BOTTOM LINE — This place is the best and most honest in Southern California. Period. Thank you Jeff!
