We’ve had great experiences with ordering takeout food multiple times. The order has always been ready when I arrive to pick it up. Some of our favorites include the simple cut rolls– philadelphia, crunchy roll, tempura shrimp. And for 50% off you can’t beat that! Their chicken teriyaki is very yummy as well. I love their gyoza and their mixed tempura, it’s a pretty generous serving! The only complaint I have is that I disliked their calamari appetizer. It was a disappointment– the outside is breaded instead of typical tempura and it was rubbery to taste. But all in all, it’s a great place for sushi and I’ll be back to try other sushi rolls next time :)

I don’t eat sushi. I never liked sushi, and I never got all the hype. My coworker who is a sushi fanatic suggested we go here for dinner and she swore she would convert me into a sushi enjoying patron. Guess what? It worked. I now love sushi, and I don’t know how I missed this after so many years! This place is awesome! I love the little mom and pop places too! This is great! I learned that I love anything spicy! Yumm!

My husband does not like sushi, but he loves this place. He got the spicy miso ramen and it was delicious. I had a spicy octopus hand roll and a tuna x tuna roll. They were both very good. It was very clean has fun décor. The only reason I wouldn’t give it five stars was the service was a little slow. Our waitress was very nice but not as attentive or quick as I would have liked. We will definitely come back here again!

I live in Santee and enjoy sushi but have yet to find a place that I would want to eat at regularly. I decided to check Ahi out with a friend last week and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was quiet and low key which I enjoyed, and the sushi was delicious. I will definitely be back!

It’s great for a sushi fix when you don’t want to spend a lot! We call in our same order and pick it up in 15 – 20 minutes, and with the 10% off coupon I have saved on my phone, it’s always a great deal for a quick family dinner – it’s kind of like fast food sushi, but the flavor is pretty good, and if you take out there’s no slow service(sitting in can be hit or miss with quick service). With two kids who have decided sushi is their favorite, you have to find a compromise between amazing flavor and price, and this is it for us!

I am always back! I like the way they offer 10 percent off every times. I usually order my lunch combo to go with the check in, and it comes out under 6 dollars. Yumm!

Yummy sushi, but servers could use a little work. Each time I’ve come here the sushi has been gorgeously presented and mouth-watering tasty, but the service keeps changing because the servers are always different. They range from excellent, top of the line, knowing the menu, and taking good care of the table, to meh — clueless, distracted and absolutely lost when delivering plates to who ordered what. Wish they could make the service more consistent and keep the good staff on. Oh and one other warning, if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this place is not it! It’s very loud. I don’t mind it if I’m with a group of fun friends, but on a relaxing evening if I want to have a good conversation with a friend, I go elsewhere.

Love this place. Man me and my brother are big time sushi fans. When we come here we always order more than we can handle but we don’t regret it. Friendly staff and great customer service. They also have great selection for people that don’t eat sushi or sea food.

Nasty, In the hood and super low quality. I went here about twice a month for take out when I lived in La Mesa. It’s just horrible now, but if you want to eat trash, well you know what they say, «You are what you eat»

This is one of our favorite sushi spots. The location is very convenient since we live in the neighborhood. Their prices and quality are unbeatable… They have a wide selection of rolls that are 50% off all day, everyday. Every time we go the staff is very friendly and the preparers behind the sushi bar are always very nice and polite. We always get their beer special, buy a large beer and get free sake yum!!! We get a couple special rolls like their rainbow and caterpillar. And a few more of their 50% rolls. One of our very favorite rolls are the salmon skin and spicy scallop roll, they are so delicious and fresh all the time!!! If you have in mind a roll that is not on their menu, they will make it for you and it will be ten times better than what you had in mind. We are so hooked on this sushi spot that we go often! It’s in a small shopping center that is not very glamorous but we bet you that you will not be dissapointed and you will be back many more times. It’s ambiance is very nice for a date or special occasion dinner. They also close late so go and give a try and please be back to this review and let us know what you thought about it cause we are very interested in hearing other opinions of sushi lovers!

Sushi, sushi everywhere. Really … EVERYWHERE! Just a few years ago, sushi east of the 805 fwy was pretty non-existent. Now, there’s a sushi joint in just about every strip mall. I was close by this place so I decided to give it a try. I ordered an eel roll & a tempura fried spicy tuna roll to go. Nothing fancy. Nowadays both rolls are kind of standards at sushi joints & the eel roll is basic sushi 101. I figured if a sushi joint can’t put out decent simple sushi rolls there’s no reason to try anything else. The eel roll … I’m not sure what to say about it, except if I didn’t order an eel roll it could have been anything. There was no flavor of unagi sauce and the eel in the roll was very miniscule & not grilled properly. I could have just been eating rice with soy sauce. The tempura fried spicy tuna roll had no ‘spicy’ to it & whereas the tuna should be diced, it appeared like they had ground it up. To salvage both rolls I put some of my own unagi sauce(yes, I keep some on hand) on the eel roll(didn’t have time to defrost the eel in my freezer though), & I mixed up a spicy sauce for the tuna. I’ll have to say I was not impressed with the sushi, yes, disappointed.

WORSTSUSHI I HAVEEVERHAD. I couldn’t even finish it, felt sick to my stomach after a few bites. Just looking at the nigiri I had order were sliced very thin. When I ate it the rice was rock hard and the fish had a very fishy taste indicating that it was old and not fresh. The roll that I got fell apart when you picked it up and had the same hard rice and old fish. This place may have good prices but it is not worth it. Terrible quality. Unfortunately, I ordered take out so I was not able to complain and get money back.

We found the service to be quick and frenzy as well as the food to be top notch! Hard to find good sushi out here in EC. This is one of the only two

This place never lets me down. The rolls are amazing ! The sexy roll is my personal favorite. The only reason I am giving this place a 4⁄5 stars is because the customer service tends to lack, but at the end of the day the sushi is too good to keep me away. If you’re in the area I recommend giving this place a try!

I have had much better sushi and much better sushi experiences. The service is seriously lacking. It takes so long when you walk in to just be greeted in general, when most sushi places, you are greeted by the sushi chefs. This one you just stand there and watch as the servers do there thing and try not to make eye contact for fear you would expect them to greet you with«i’ll be right with you.» The sushi is just ok. Matter of fact, mine had a little flaming bowl on it that went out before it got to the table, and the waiter was just .“oops, hehe” and that was it. Not that I would want them to take it all the way back to light it up again but dang, have a little more customer service. Overall, there are much better sushi places that this one. This was actually my second time going here. The first time we waited so long to be greeted and given a table that we just left…

The service at this place is not attentive or friendly at all. The wait is ridiculous. Our table never received one of the rolls we ordered and we were basically done eating by the time we could get the waitress’ attention to ask about the roll. The table next to us waited over 30 minutes and never received their orders and then decided to leave because the servers were inattentive. The prices are very cheap here. I ordered the chicken katsu bowl for $ 5.50 which was good. The sushi was ok, nothing special. The only real appeal to this place is the cheap prices but the food is just alright.
