I went to Prestige a few years back and got a decent hair cut… I’m always worried about even getting trims, but they didn’t do a horrible job. Two months ago I went back and received the worst hair cut I’ve ever seen in my life. The woman was reallyyyy sweet and friendly so I felt bad freaking out, but I didn’t realize how horrid it was until I got home. I asked for layers in my long, full hair, and a few inches off because it was almost at my waist. I received a blunt, straight across, ONE LENGTH hair cut. The bottom of my hair was literally pin straight, everyone kept asking me if I got it chemically treated. I’ve literally never even seen hair look like this, it looked like someone took scissors to it a minute before, for weeks! The bottom was like frayed and straight across, it made my already poofy hair look more poofy, and it reminded me of a 7 year olds hair. For someone who regularly spends a lot of time styling their hair, I was quite upset that there was basically nothing I could do after wasting $ 50 for a cut (with tip), not even a wash and blow dry! Maybe you’ll get lucky and have someone that actually walls around to the front and cuts the front of your hair unlike my stylist, but it’s safe to say I’ll NEVER return there. They get two stars for the friendly & clean atmosphere, and because my hair cut years ago was half decent.

New to the area I was in desperate need to find a new salon and get my hair trimmed. I sent my husband in for a trial run and his hair looked good so I booked my appointment. They were able to get me in same day. Gloria was my stylist. I showed her a pic of what I wanted which required about 4″ to be taken off and she delivered! Love my new cut and best of all the price! $ 35! In and out in 40 minutes to accommodate my busy work schedule… Can’t wait to go back!

Ellie at Prestige Salon is beyond amazing. She’s been doing my hair for years, and I ALWAYS leave feeling relaxed, beautiful, and completely happy with my hair. Her work LASTS (especially her highlights)!

I am a first time client of Prestige and it will be the only time I go to their salon.
I award them 2 stars because they have wonderful customer service, a clean establishment, and top of the line products. These things, however, do not create an awesome haircut.
I called to make an appointment and specifically asked if anyone in the salon had a lot of experience cutting thick, curly hair and I was told that all of the stylists have at least 10 years of experience. I made the appointment and went to the salon with the intention of having my grown out hair maintained and thinned. I told the stylist specifically that I needed 3 inches cut off the ends, the layers needed to be cleaned up, I needed my hair thinned, and that I needed movement in the front because otherwise I end up with triangle hair. (You know what I’m talking about if you have curly hair.)
My hair looked great after everything was said and done and it’s typical of stylists to blow out and straighten my hair after a cut. (It’s a nice change from curls every day.) I was skeptical though if this haircut would fair well with my curls. Unfortunately, I do in fact have triangle hair.
I will not be going back to Prestige, not even to have them fix it. How can I trust them to fix my hair when they didn’t listen to me in the first place? Don’t waste your time — pay a little extra at a different salon to get the cut you asked for.

Salon gets three stars and Judy gets five stars! Salon is nice– your basic setup. But everyone knows a salon is about your stylist, not necessarily the salon as a whole. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere and my stylist Judy is great. One time I came in and literally said «ugh, I dunno, I just want something… ELSE. Do whatever you want». And she went with it and totally came through with a new cut and style that looked great! I can definitely recommend her!

I went there thinking I could get the ends of my hair bleached after they told me over the phone they could (over black dye). The stylist, Jackie, was hungover or had a cold or something, but she was disinterested and groggy the whole time. Most of the time I paid her for she sat there with a magazine. I asked her to clip my ends and she made a half assed pass around my head. I had asked for bleached tips up to 6″ (to dip dye my hair blue) and in some places it’s not visible at all and others there is bleach up past my ears (10″). I had called to state I was not satisfied and she treated me as if it were my fault that the bleaching wasn’t right. She even said, «It’s not my fault.» After doing research after the fact, I saw that she didn’t bleach my hair more than once like she said she did, and that she should have used toner (the dye turned out dark green). It’s not my job as a consumer to tell her how to do her job. And if she felt it could not be done to my satisfaction she should have refused to take on the project. I asked to talk to the manager about it, stating I didn’t feel this was worth $ 140, and the manager treated me the same. Next time I will just do it myself with better results, I will use toner and I’ve found a way to get rid of the black hair dye without bleaching.
