Tried the sampler not bad but the brisket was not worth eating the pulled pork and ribs were good and the smoked chicken was ok just a little to spicy for me but had the right amount of smoke. I didn’t care for some of the meats being microwaved but was told they had to do that to keep the meat fresh and from falling apart sitting in the steamer all day.

Unilocaled some BBQ while on a road trip. Smokeshack it is. Really nice mobile rig. Good smoke. Didn’t need so much processed cheese on the Frito pie, but the sausage and brisket were great. Glad I pulled off the highway.

I’ve seen this guy pull the pork in his packaging store. He smokes in his store as well. He gives a whole new meaning to «smokeshack». Stay away. Not very sanitary!

While visiting Effingham, my wife and I stopped by the Stack N Pack Smokeshack. We are full-time RVers and love to sample ribs as we criss-cross the country. The half-rack of ribs we shared was absolutely outstanding! We’ll definitely be back to the Stack N Pack the next time our travels bring us through Effingham! It is a «shack» with a single picnic table but the service was quick and friendly and the taste made it worth the while to sit in our car to eat our ribs.

I passed by this place a few times and have been wanting to try it, I got the chance today. Walking up to this place I saw the bbq shack and the beautiful smoker with a diamond plate lid. That put a smile on my face. I got a brisket sandwich for 7 bucks. I also ordered the ½ slab of baby back ribs for 10 bucks. The brisket melted in my mouth. It’s a good buy, and he loaded it up with meat too. When I got home later I had the the ribs. They were excellent & the bbq sauce seemed to be homemade. It was sweet with a little kick to it. I can’t believe this place is not on Unilocal,it is now though. The guy is cash only unless your checks our local. He has brisket, ribs, chicken, & hot links. I also saw chicken frito pie, which sounded good. Its in a great location too, right off of interstate 70&57 in effingham, il– this a good bbq place to check out.
