Together with his wife Gail, he started Althoff Stump Removal in 1984 based on his passion for Dendrology (the study of trees) and providing a best in class service for his local community. Doug was born and raised in Effingham and is truly part of the city and it’s surrounding townships. Doug is a full time lineman, family man and owner/​operator of Althoff Stump Removal. Doug truly defines the term workaholic with his extreme dedication to his business 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
