Stopped by after a football game on a Thursday night. Pretty sparse crowd. The atmosphere is actually very nice, big window, and individual private seating. Our service was good. The waitress was friendly and accomodating. The food was another story. I had the prime rib, it was the small cut, a really nice looking piece of meat, however it had a kind of a old taste to it, like it was freezer burned then thawed, or warmed up in some way. I had to cut the taste of the meat with au-jus, seasoning and horseradish sauce. It was just not very good at all. My wife had a burger, and sadly it was the preformed, pressed frozen patty from Gordon’s food service, just not that good. Come on people, how tough is fresh meat for a burger? My son had chicken strips which were the typical prefrozen, average sticks. The place has potential, they just need to fire the entire kitchen staff and get a chef that knows how to cook fresh, real food. One last thing the menu needs to be updated as well, really basic, old.

I have recently been back to Stacy’s and can say that the first time must’ve just been an off night. I have visited twice actually since my previous review. I am pleasantly surprised, good food and even better service! I would recommend.

Years ago I really enjoyed this place. NOTANYMORE. I made a point to visit here twice in the past 2 weeks and what I can say is it’s slipping. The menu is old and boring… same ol’ same ol’. Prices are a tad high for what you are actually getting. The first of my two visits I ate in the downstairs bar shortly after they opened for the evening. I was a little concerned at first when I walked in by the noticeable smell of sewer as I passed the restrooms. Apparently, this isn’t a typical occurrence. One other patron was in the downstairs bar sitting alone, but other than that the place was empty. I ordered their chicken sandwich because healthier options just aren’t available. The server was attentive and friendly, however. Beer selection is average and they don’t offer draft beer of any kind. Asked for a glass for my beer and was given a dirty one… Hey, but it was chilled. :(Also, there is an up charge for sweet potato fries or basically anything else you might want to add that isn’t on the sandwich originally ranging from .95 and up? Weird. Second visit I ate upstairs at a table with big windows and a view, but it was dark outside already so couldn’t enjoy. The place was practically empty unlike Fat Cam’s at Garver Lake which was jam packed and is how I ended up at Stacy’s to begin with. I also sincerely wanted to give them another try. Again, wasn’t interested in eating a steak, so I ordered the Salmon Salad. Seriously? A generic dinner salad with a 4 oz. piece of grilled salmon on top for $ 10.95. The salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, two cucumbers, carrot shreds and a single tomato with my choice of dressing. No balsamic vinaigrette here. Snapped a pic of my pathetic salad because I was dumbfounded by it. Sorry Stacy’s… as a long time patron, I just can’t justify it anymore. There are better places to eat.

I have eaten here twice. I love the layout in that each table is very private. the wait staff was excellent. I had a wonderful steak both times. My husband had the perch and steak. I will definitely go back!

If you’re looking for an out-of-the way little place with decent food, Stacey’s does the job. The upstairs had unique wooden booths that looked like horse stables which I would have liked to try, but our group ate downstairs in the dark little bar area. Service was good and so was the food. Several people got the prime rib, which is the specialty of the house. My husband had the fried chicken, which he said was very good. I had the fish sandwich, which was three pieces of deep-fried haddock on a soft bun piled high with lettuce, tomato, and pickles and served with steak fries. There was no graceful way to eat it except smashing it flat with my hand. There are also several large TVs in the downstairs area for watching games.

The atmosphere in the downstairs is great — dark little bar. The staff is always friendly. The food, mediocre at best. Ordered the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, was the most limp, frost bitten, horrible display of food that had no taste at all. The prime rib is supposed to be delicious here, but they only serve it on certain nights.

The wait for our a table and food was long, but it was a busy Saturday night. I would give Stacy’s 4 stars if they allowed reservations. The prime rib was very good! The place is very cozy and staff is friendly. I’m very glad there is an alternative to Applebee’s that serves GOOD food in the area.

«Stacey’s on the Lake» is not bad. They bill themselves as «the place for steak» in local papers. The place is nice, the food is reasonably priced and the service is certainly friendly. Meat-lovers will probably not rave about this place, but it is certainly fine for the occasional night out if you are not expecting to be «wowed».
