My third«Chinese» eatery in the area in 2 weeks and my 3rd review of the day, and here we go, typical order as usual: Hot n sour soup — it was…“ok”. Again lots of vinegar and little else. I skipped the pot stickers this time because I went for a second entre, and I also liked the vegetable fried rice. Two entres: Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken with 3 Kinds Mushroom. Both had a bland taste, the chicken was sort of rubbery(?), and there were two of use sharing this take-out order. Both of us had«gastro-intestinal issues» that night and the next morning. I will NOT be back. In fact, I’m going to stop my quest for«Chinese» style food in the area. Better off eating a $ 12 hamburger with fries somewhere.

I really liked their food, particularly the almond chicken which was all white meat and not too much breading. Won ton soup which I don’t normally like was also good. First time for us to try and we did take out on a very busy NY Eve. Liked the fact that they put sauce separate for you to add on your own. Will go back!

Small mom and pop joint, located very close to the ferry terminal, in a strip mall. Owners are super friendly and accommodating. Their Mongolian beef is good but you definitely should try their pot stickers. They are too die for and the portions for pot stickers are very generous.

Average food. Had the Kung Pao chicken and it was fine. Plenty of food for the money. They are very fast about getting food out for those waiting on the ferry.

Ordered again(two years later) and as before, their delivery service was way above par. So nice and friendly and FAST. And the way they package everything is very meticulous: they deliver in a warmer, put cardboard between each container for stability, the soup was intact, sauce and components are separate to keep them perfect so you can combine them yourself… very spot on. The food this time was better than when I ordered 2 years ago, so that’s a plus. :) We ordered one of the family meals and the Chicken Chow Mein was my fave of the bunch — a little sparse on veggies and sauce, but hey, it’s cheap, hot, fast and delivered. I’m good with that. A previous Unilocaler mentioned not having the sauce w/the actual dish(e.g., Almond Chicken or Sweet&Sour anything): I *LIKE* that they package the sauce and protein elements separately, otherwise it gets soggy w/delivery. I can incorporate the sauce and proteins and it tastes just like if I ordered it at the restaurant. That’s why they do it that way. Their family meals(A thru D) are an easy way to sample a range of their most popular dishes. One thing to note… I think they upped their delivery minimum to $ 30(or I may not have heard her correctly; or maybe I ordered during a busy time). (I wish other Chinese food restaurants in this area would take note of Jade Palace’s delivery option… I ordered about $ 50 off the menu. In the restaurant it would’ve been a much smaller order. It’s time for establishments — other than pizza — to consider delivery as an option in this area.)

I moved from CA to Edmonds, WA about 5 years ago. I was googling chinese delivery and this place pop right up. Prompt delivery for over $ 20. Their dinner combo for 2 feed 3 aldults plus stll have some left over. Okay food, not the greatest but it is everything you hope cheap take out American-Chinese food would be. I’ve been their long time customer, especially night like tonight when i don’t feel like cooking

Unfortunately our experience of a month ago(3 stars) was not repeated, My wife’s General Tso’s chicken smelled bad and tasted worse, The server said it was because it was«thigh» meat but clearly the chicken was kept too long and was turning bad. We can tell bad chicken when we see, smell and taste it, The order was returned and replaced with an extraordinarily bland almond chicken. Had the server apologized perhaps we would try the place again but we didnt appreciate her insisting that it just tastes different than white meat? No it tasted different than unspoiled food, We wont return.

Love this place! Tried a few other Chinese spots in Edmonds and this one has the best food and best prices hands down! I also love you can order anything without MSG and free delivery for any order over $ 20. Everything I have tried has been really good but they have the BEST hot and sour soup I have ever had.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I had take out last week, about 30 mins prior to closing.(super sweet lady took my order & wasn’t irked we ordered right before close) Tonight, I have felt ill all day, after dealing with downtown Seattle traffic &DR appts, got home realized I did not want to cook. I remembered I had a menu from prior week. I called @ 845pm(didn’t see at 1st that they close at 9 on Tuesdays) again lady was super polite, I asked if it was to late to place a delivery. She was sweet & took my order & a gentle man delivered it @ 930pm, well past closing. I can say, that is above and beyond :) The house fried rice is yummy & portions are generous, as well as the #1 dinner. I will say, we will be longtime customers!!!

Great Lunch Special– Very Friendly Service — Order was ready in less than 10 minutes– General Tso Chicken was yummy, the Hot n Sour Soup was light and very tasty– Chicken Chow Mein was good but could use some more flavor– Over all two giant lunch specials, soup appetizer and meal for $ 13 for two! We will be back!

I was not impressed, we eat a lot of Asian food and this was warmed up blah. No sign of effort in making it taste great, there is so much better Asian food in the area, skip this place.

Awww, the woman on the phone was so nice and we were really hoping this place would be good but… it wasn’t. We ordered take-out from here, and I was pleased at how fast it arrived to our door. The staff is really friendly and the prices weren’t bad. The food was just not worth it. We ordered sesame chicken and beef teriyaki. The sesame chicken was packaged weirdly in the sense that the sauce was in a separate container and the chicken was clumped together in a fried, doughy mass. The sesame sauce looked like sweet and sour with sesame seeds in it. Not how I normally expect it to be, but whatever. The beef teriyaki was lukewarm and had a strange, metallic flavor to it. It was served on a bed of wilted cabbage. It had no interesting flavor to it– besides the metallic taste –and was pretty boring. The«sesame chicken» was not what I’m used to it tasting like. The sauce was too sweet and there was no spice or any sort of flavor complexity whatsoever. I know that I don’t need to expect 5 star food from a Chinese take-out, but it was kind of the worst Chinese take-out I’ve ever had. Three stars for the great service, it was the best we’ve had at any takeout place. And the price is appropriate for the quality. Maybe it was an off-night, as the reviews make it sound like this place should have really good food? Might give it a shot and order something else in the future.

I feel bad about a two star, but the last experiences were not great. The food is just that… meh. It’s nice to be able to run over from the ferry line, but honestly, I feel like it’s better to hold off and grab a crêpe on the other side of the water. That said, the folks are nice and the food is certainly adequate.

Oh my goodness. What a treat! I love Chinese food, but rarely find it up to my standards. Either it’s not flavorful enough, or it’s MUCH too flavored(too sweet, too salty, too gooey…). The Chinese food at Jade Palace in Edmonds had me «oohing» and«mmmming» through the whole meal. We ordered the eggrolls(the only thing that didn’t wow me, but they were still good), the beef skewers, a huge bowl of hot and sour soup(which was very precisely hot AND sour enough for me, which never happens), Mongolian beef, stir fried vegetables, and rice. I was incredibly impressed with their food, and their kind and thoughtful service. We asked for no MSG and they were happy to accomodate that as well. Portions were great, and well balanced, and the price was very good. For all this plus a 25% tip, it was only $ 51. They went above and beyond what was needed insofar as service, coming and clearing our appetizers for us and boxing them so that we had more room for the entrees, and even though we declined more rice with our meal since we were almost done, they even boxed a little rice for us so that we’d have a complete takeout meal afterward. I live in Seattle, and never take the Kingston ferry. But I tell you what, I will be driving up north more often now that I know this place is here. If you’re ever in the area(or aren’t at all but don’t mind the drive), you should head to Jade Palace. You won’t regret it!

Fresh, fast & friendly. Generally, run-of-the-mill Chinese menus just doesn’t cut it for me; Jade Palace is a notable exception. Everything was excellent from the generous $ 12/person Family Dinner«D“selection(wonton soup, bbq pork, egg roll, sauteed shrimp, broccoli beef, sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice, mu-shu pork). The sauteed shrimp was my favorite — vibrant, with perfectly crisp snow peas and a delicate sauce reminiscent of Earl Grey tea. It felt like eating spring. My only complaint? Seeing the guy with the bucket clearly waiting to mop the floor halfway through our meal, and well before closing. Guessing that comes with a business with more take-out than dinner customers on a weeknight. Hey, at least he was there because he wanted to keep the place clean. Bummer Jade Palace isn’t closer to Everett, no question I’d be a regular. If you’re by the Edmonds ferry and have some time on your hands, Jade Palace is definitely worth a stop!
