History

Established in 1997.

The coaching profession began to define itself as a distinct discipline in 1997, attracting people committed to bringing forth the highest human potential and helping individuals achieve their dreams. Pioneers in the profession had a vision for the world in which people manifest their unique magnificence and encourage and allow everyone around them to do the same.

The Academy for Coach Training was created in 1997 and our program, Certified Professional Coach, became one of the first officially accredited by the International Coach Federation in 1999.

We adopted the inviteCHANGE brand in 2008 expanding our offer to individuals, groups and organizations who are ready to embrace possibility, break through limitations and create lasting impact.

Janet is a seasoned executive operating for the past thirteen years as an entrepreneur in organizational consulting and coaching and previously in officer positions with General Mills and Charles Schwab. Janet joined the company’s other partners in late summer of 2006 to purchase the Academy for Coach Training.

Choosing to invite rather than react to change creates opportunity and generates a sustainable growth strategy for individuals and organizations. As CEO, Janet embodies this philosophy every day.

She enjoys speaking and writing about influential leadership and leading change. At home on Whidbey Island with her husband, Russell, they are avid boaters and Northwest adventurers
