Best Chiropractor I have EVER gone to.

I have seen Dr. Dan twice. Both times I’d waited until I was in sorry shape, and both times, he put things right in one visit. His knowledge and skill are impressive, but he’s got a couple of other qualities that put him in the top echelon of medical practitioners: a great sense of humor, and a complete lack of self-​importance. And genuine kindness. I feel absolutely safe with him, and that’s the most you can ask of any doctor. Incidentally, on the way out of my last appointment, I met my favorite Edmonds gardener, the one who sells me tomatoes every spring. She’s active and strong, though well along in years, and a living testimony to Dr. Dan’s good work.

Dan is a rock star, and one of the most gifted Chiropractors you can find. I have had a few over the years, but Dan beats them all in skill, customer service, and in providing an atmosphere aligned (no pun intended) with healing and getting back into your groove. I can’t recommend him enough.

I’m sorry to say Dr. Gribbin’s attempt at relieving my back pain was not very professional nor very intuitive. Dan would never read my back with his hands or x-​ray. I would go in and have my back pop a lot, then he would yank on my legs, with no regard to which side needed the attention. After a few days of this I was so much worse than I was, I needed to go to the doctor for pain pills and a cortisone shot. Now after a whole lot more $$$ and another chiropractor I feel so much better. The second chiropractor read my back as to being ½ inch short on my left. After a few weeks, I feel at a natural posture, and can function as I once did.

Dr. Gribbon does not ft any pattern. He is very direct, and more like a practitioner you’d find n E. WA than hip Seattle. I went because my very cool naturopath referred me for a sore lower back, saying that I would only need to go once. For sure.
I’ve been to chiropractors before and they all do a series of treatments, so I was skeptical. His treatment was pretty forceful.
Anyway, I went twice — problem solved. Totally solved. Any recurrance is due to my repetetively stressing my back and not exercising enough — not his great skill.

Dr. Dan is the man with the plan. Seriously he is a healer in the true sense in regards to back pain. No weird new age junk just down to earth manipulation and pain relief. I have been to many but my search is over.

Dr. Dan is not just a mere man, he is a god!
There is no way I could do my job or be functional without his assistance in my care. Due to my work and stress of life, my back and neck go out. One trip to Dr. Dan and I’m pain free and back in action. I know of people who spend years in PT or take pain meds and muscle relaxers just to get thru the day. I beg them to see Dr Dan. IF he cant help you, he wont adjust you. Simple as that.
Dr. Dan has cured my migraines that I use to suffer from regularly. When I feel one coming on, i get to Dan ASAP. One adjustment and I feel the relief flow thru me. I haven’t had one in years.
Dr. Dan will not try to set you up with multiple appointments like other chiropractic doctors. He tells you to come in when you feel that you need to. His walk-​in systems means you can stop by when ever you feel the need. The longest I had to wait was 15 minutes and that was with 2 clients before me! Hes quick, hes efficient, and hes damn good at what he does.

I have been the largest skeptic and cynic of chiropractic care for years, nay decades. However over the past few years I’ve had chronic back pain from athletic activity that was temporarily cured due to a hard jolt. After re-​aggravating my back, I decided to give chiropractic care a shot. On the recommendation from a co-​worker, I visited «Dr. Dan» Gribbin in Edmonds, Washington.
Dan was suggested for two reasons: 1) his success rate with my co-​worker and his family. 2) His attempt to solve the issue the first time, or as quickly as possible. He’s not trying to build a practice based on repitition, but on successful solving of physical ailments.
Dan spent the first five to ten minutes talking to me to get to know me as a client. He then talked about my history and then went to work with an initial examination. I have had some other mid-​back pain that I was not asking about and he identified the area without being prompted.
Dan set about his work and was very aggressive in his treatment — if you’re delicate, this shouldn’t alarm you as the client before me was an 80+ year-​old woman of frail stature. At the completion he made sure I could walk and move normally, and provided his card with personal cell phone number in case I had any problems tonight or tomorrow (his office is closed on Thursdays.)
There is no appointments necessary — Dan handles customers on a walk-​in basis. They do not bill insurance, so make sure your plan accepts his service and allows you to be reimbursed. Rates are reasonable but you should call to determine whether or not they’re right for you.
While I still do not consider myself a full believer in chiropractic care (yet), I am a believer in Dan Gribbin. As I type this tonight I feel better than I have in months. If I feel uncomfortable in the future, I will have no hesitation to go back.
Edit: As of 29-​July-​2010, I am a believer that good chiropractic physicians make chiropractic care work. Dr. Dan is The Man. I am a believer because of what he’s done for me, and it’s not be more than a small handful of visits over a couple of years. You are cheating yourself out of a happy, comfortable life by not seeing him.
