History

Established in 1984.

Lana McGinnis founded the Ballet Academy of Performing Arts in 1984. Her vision was to create a positive atmosphere through qualified teachers encouraging a love of dance, music, and the arts. BAPA has a tradition of achieving that goal, and continues to provide that to the students that dance here. The Ballet Academy of Performing Arts offers expert instruction in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-​hop, and modern/​lyrical for all ages!

Meet the Manager

Bethany W.

Manager

Bethany is the assistant director and has been dancing with the Ballet Academy since she was 4 years old. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and has been teaching all ages of students for over ten years. She loves working with all of her dancers in ballet, tap, jazz, & modern and aims to instill grace, poise and confidence in all of them.
