It’s a decent place with decent service sushi is okay. We shared everything but I ordered the California roll(a bit dry) and the Volcano roll which was really good but I expected the scallops to be more«baked». Nonetheless it was tasty and I would order it again. We also had the eel which was average. I’ve had much better. I may be spoiled cause of all the delicious sushi I’ve had in San Francisco. My boyfriend ordered the Beijing shrimp w/broccoli which was really good but a bit on the hot(temperature wise) side. Service was decent from start to finish and the prices were a bit high($ 46 for two with edamame to start and two non-alcoholic drinks). Free wifi which was nice, but it kept bumping me on and off of it so that was kind of annoying. Overall 3 stars. I would return but maybe try the lunch menu.

Restaurant is great! The patio is the best in town hands down. The sushi was also good try the 2nd Street roll!

We were in town from Denver. The atmosphere here was really great, modern, and upscale for the area. Their patio was beautiful! The food wasn’t very great. The sushi was pretty awful. I ordered just the«Fish Lips» roll with Salmon and the roll was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It was rubbery and ugly and gooey. Yuck. The Asian dishes were decent. I liked that they offered me brown rice but other than that I wasn’t thrilled. The Gyoza we ordered was burned too. All in all it’s an okay stop for Asian food but definitely not my first pick.

Overpriced and overrated ! What irritates me the most is when restaurants like these puts down price on menu but it doesn’t include the meat! Meat or seafood is all additional !

Kang’s has just average sushi but that is because they are pre-rolled but all the other food is well above average. Don’t go for the sushi but the other items are worth the trip.

I went to Kang’s(in Edmond) a few months back, and it was so horrible I have to write this review to warn others. Let me start by saying I go to the Kang’s in OKC all the time and love the food there. So when my best friend from college flew in to visit me I wanted to take her out to sushi like old times. I normally go to the Sushi Bar which is my fave, but I decided to try Kang’s instead. I should have noticed the red flags when it was a Friday night and the restaurant was barely occupied. Everything we ordered was disgusting, starting with the edamame. I mean, how do you mess up edamame??? I like it served hot, freshly boiled, but it was cold and undercooked. A couple of other things were bleh. But what finally did us in was the volcano roll. It is topped with spicy scallops and should come out hot. We waited FOREVER for it, then when it came out it was almost room temperature! I don’t know if it was the server’s fault or what(he wasn’t that great either). I felt bad but I had to ask them to make it again because I was not going to eat it. When they brought it back, it still wasn’t that good. By this point my friend was so not into it that she just wanted to go home. So we asked the server to bag everything up(we barely touched anything), and when we left the restaurant we trashed it. I was so pissed off that this was my friend’s first experience in Oklahoma. I don’t know how this place stays in business.

I’m a bit torn on my rating here. Personally, I’d almost consider it four stars, but there were two areas where things fell through. First, the bad parts. The bar is definitely not a complete bar. Less selection than a typical airport bar, really. At least the good old martini standby was just fine. The worst part though was the brown rice. Nice décor generally means I expect something better than minute rice. The chicken was alright although not particularly special. I’d be fine with eating it again, but I’m not going to go out of my way for it or anything. Now for the good parts. The service was great. A fancier atmosphere doesn’t get in the way of friendliness. The price was reasonable given the restaurant presentation, although not particularly cheap either. If you have foodie tendencies, you likely won’t be terribly impressed here. If you’re just looking for somewhere that’s pleasant to eat, then it’s a better match. End impression– I like it, I wanted to give it four stars, but that brown rice was just so bad that it deserves dishonorable mention. You really could do worse, but Edmond has a pretty nice variety of restaurants already which means you can do better too.

I’m a part-time vegetarian — had the edemame and Hunan Garden Tofu. Nice flavor, and the tofu was cooked perfectly. Very good.

Staying at Stafford Inn for the night, we found Kang’s across the street, and after dinner wondered why it was so empty. Plenty of free parking. Wonderfully greeted. Pleasantly lit. Large enough bar menu and dinner menu. Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. Good food. Decent price. We each started with a cocktail. Tanqueray gin martini for me, and lemon drop for Cindy. She commented that what made it tasty was the use of fresh squeezed lemon juice. Kang’s also has a decent selection of domestic and imported beers, and a nice wine selection by the glass or bottle. I ordered the Hunan Garden Tofu for $ 10. Made with broccoli, snow peas, baby corn, mushrooms, carrot, white wine, ginger soy, I found it to be tasty without a lot of extra seasoning. Cindy ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken, again for $ 10. We split the brown rice. The meals were presented well, portioned well, and best yet, tasted the way they should. If you find yourself in Edmond, find Kang’s.

I go to Kang’s all the time and I think the sushi is great. I have yet to try all of them but I have tried about 85% of the sushi rolls. All of them great! I especially recommend the Baby Gecko and the Ninja roll. The miso soup is great as well. I wouldn’t consider portion sizes small here, I think just get spoiled with humongous plates of food at other restaurants. These are perfect portions. Also during lunch time enjoy there lunch box special with two sushi rolls, salad, soup, and a chef’s choice appetizer for only $ 10.

My first sushi experience was at Kang’s. Although, can you consider it a true sushi experience if it’s covered in batter and deep fried? Baby Gecko. Sounds very bizarre but I really enjoyed it. They swear it’s not actual baby gecko and even if it was, I’d still eat it because it tastes delicious. Portion size is a little bit below average from what I’ve experienced at other sushi establishments. I haven’t really tried anything else on the menu; their calamari is pretty decent in all its deep fried glory as well. They used to have a happy hour menu for certain sushi rolls(half off), but I’ve heard they stopped doing that. That makes me sad. Eating sushi there at regular price will probably leave you a little dissatisfied at the small portions(compared to other sushi places of course, not other restaurants in general). If you have a small stomach however, and you’ve been wanting to try sushi but you’re scared of the idea of raw fish, go here and get the thing that looks like it’s sushi but really it’s tempura battered chicken. I would definitely go there again and try some other things on their menu if I happen to be in the area. Maybe it’s time for a visit to the alma mater so that I have an excuse to get some grub on at Kang’s.

I was not impressed with Kang’s sushi. I had an order of fried rice, which was good. I do not recall the name of the roll I had, but it was small, and didn’t have much flavor — it was also overpriced. If I return to Kang’s I will try their Thai food — I would not come to this place again for their sushi. There are other sushi places in the OKC area that have wonderful, and flavorful sushi for equal or lesser prices. The service was good, but it was not very busy when I visited.

I don’t quite understand why this place doesn’t seem to get better business, because every time I come here it’s close to dead. Even on weekends it’s not busy. It has good sushi and good Chinese food options, and a nice trendy lounge in the back if you want to chill with friends and a few drinks. The rolls aren’t as big as I’m used to but the fish is really great. Definitely one of the places I loved to go when I went to UCO.

reasonably priced. located in a growing area in edmond. this place offers all types of asian cuisine — from chinese to thai to japanese. the aura of the place is so relaxing. the décor is modern and abstract. very comfy seating. they also have a buddah lounge in the back. i had a soup and a veg dish. the best i’ve ever had, and i’ve been around. we stopped here on the way home from kansas city and this eatery made the road trip all the more pleasing. 10 stars.

I ate at Kang’s for lunch today for the first time. I’ve heard the sushi was great here but since it was lunch, and first time, I went for the Japanese Sesame Chicken and a cup of Egg Drop soup; it was excellent. The fried rice with the chicken was cooked just right, and the chicken had just the right amount of sauce on it… some places cake it on. Egg drop was right on as well. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to going back to try some sushi.
