It has been a long time since I visited Edisto(more than two decades) but we will be coming back here. This has probably become my favorite South Carolina beach. Nice sand. Good roads and good infrastructure. Could use more restaurant options, but then I appreciate the quiet and coziness too. Charleston is close enough for fine dining.

One of my favorite places on the planet. You can’t get an old school beach feel anywhere, but you sure do get it at Edisto!

My husband’s family on both sides derived from Edisto Island. He spent many summers here in his youth and is so accustomed to all of this natural beauty. I caution him to not take it for granted, LOL. I am from a landlocked state so this kind of «Island life«is just amazing to me. The lush greenery, the oak trees, the sea shell paved roads, the beach front, the ocean waves. The large homes with big porches and swings. It’s like going back in time and I find this place to be so serene, relaxing, almost spiritual ! I look forward to our visits.
