So much fun — best and most entertaining, friendly, and funny staff anywhere. Oh, and the food??? OMG Just shut up and eat. Its so friggin’ finger licking good. The desserts are consistent and amazing, and its the best latte by Seattle’s standards. No foolin.’ REAL food, real people. No panty-waists.They got it going’ ON at Tweets. Best day trip ever. David is an incredible chef — one of the best in the Northwest, and a real chef and food magician. The man deserves oodles of respect, bows and praise.

Super cute place! Great food! Nice people! Ordered the smoked salmon rillettes and homemade rice noodle cakes! Both were soooo good! The rice noodle cakes were good with some kick! Just take note that they only take cash or check! I looked forward to trying more on their menu!

In response to Jim’s post, yes I have been emotionally satisfied with many a meal. However Tweets is the only restaurant I have been emotionally abused by the staff. They think it’s funny to insult customers. It’s not NYC guys. Give it a rest.

Brunch simply does not get better than Tweets. Came in after a long hike to Oyster Dome and the food was so satisfying. The flavors are unique and the atmosphere is lovely. My boyfriend, who can eat a TON, was good and full after our meal. Highly recommend!

Great food in cool hip eclectic furniture restaurant. Order at counter and they will deliver a gourmet meal at a very reasonable price. Coffee is very good. Highly recommend.

An awesome funky restaurant. The coffee is so good and so is the food. The interior is decorated really cool and I love the patio that you can sit out on, on nice days to enjoy the slough and the pretty garden.

When you live in Bellingham, and are exposed to all of the amazing foodie deliciousness that our little city has come to offer, it’s not always easy to pull yourself away for a breakfast road trip. But on a recent lazy Saturday morning this is just what the hubby and I did as we sauntered down to Edison for some destination dining at Tweets. I’d heard about this place, and salivated over the pics, for years, and was excited to check them out! The space is small with very kitschy décor. I loved it. You order at the counter from a limited(and kinda pricey) breakfast menu and your meal is prepared in their tiny open kitchen by a staff who is very friendly(especially with the locals, who are greeted with hugs as they come in the door). Seating is at a premium — best to get there early or go on a warm day when their outside patio is open. But then again, you don’t go on a breakfast road trip if you’re in a hurry to eat! Our corned beef hash with collard greens was excellent, and the farm-fresh sunny-side-up egg on top was pure heaven. I thought the price($ 16) was a little steep, but I get they are using premium locally-sourced ingredients so I can’t complain too loudly. I look forward to returning again and giving their Eggs Benny a go.

A perfect way to start a weekend. I love taking out of towners here! It’s a long wait usually, but so worth it.

Stopped here on our way up Chuckanut Drive. This place is worth the drive from Seattle in itself. The smoked steelhead and mushroom Benedict were delicious beyond words on Unilocal. So good. Owners are super nice too.

This is a small, rustic, bohemian café with both a patio and indoor seating where you can enjoy a coffee and pastry or sit down for an entrée. The food here is absolutely delicious — and the portions are anything but scant! I appreciated the creative twists on classic dishes. The menu I found online is what drew me there. I had a curried sausage and grits entrée that was so beautifully plated and colored with roasted local veggies. BUT, it did take a whole hour to get to me after ordering, with no apologies — a frustration for my party of 4(plus my toddler). Lots of Gluten Free options available! And I THINK I remember that it only accepts cash.

Have you ever been emotionally satisfied by a meal? That’s what it’s like to go here. Tweets has local ingredients and an authentic atmosphere. The owner is confident and knows how to address your taste buds. He was once a vegan for ethical reasons — as I am now — but even convinced me to try the lamb from a local farm. The wait time and prices are high, but I couldn’t give a lick because of how satisfying the food is(there’s even a nice view of an orchard and occasionally live music). I make special trips down from Bellingham just for the baked good, which are hard to choose from because they’re all so darn good! My favorites are the Danishes, rice crispies, and the biggest oatmeal raisin cookie you might ever lay your eyes on.

This place changed my eating habits for life. There is no other place I would drive 50+ miles for. Fresh organic breakfasts, amazing pastries and coffees, snarky employees this place has it all. They are only open Fri Sat and Sun so come early to avoid the lines and waits. I had the egg Frittata(see my pic) with biscotti an a almond milk latte. Never disappointed here.

Cash Only. «Be Patient.» That’s the sign that greets you when you walk into the restaurant, reminding you to «Be Patient.» OK, fine. I’ll be patient even though the place is a bustling mad-house & I have no idea what to do. Here’s what you do: Check out the menu on the blackboard by the register. CASHONLY. Be prepared for dishes to be $ 15-$ 20. Once you order, find your seat & wait. We waited over an hour for food. When it came, it came about 15 minutes apart(his first, mine second). The flavors were delicious but it was hard to eat. Boyfriends pork had some fat or something in it. My eggs benedict was on a super-crusty piece of bread(not well thought out) and while delicious, was SOVERYMESSY. I’ve never had anything quite so messy but, delicious. They use béchamel instead of hollandaise. Eggs were fried, not poached but perfect. Boyfriend got the pork + scallops which were on a delicious grain with some kind of garlicky-peanut sauce. Servings were HUGE — one meal could feed two people. The flavors were worth the wait. The décor was warm & inviting. Staff was a little brusque but pleasant saying good bye. Also enjoyed meandering the main street of Edison.

Awesome little funky farm to table joint. Complete with fresh baked goods, handmade menu, fresh flowers and freaky people! Edison charm is present and vibrant here. Incredibly fresh, delightful cuisine and even a garage door opening to the east, and community tables. We came here for our Anniversary, July 2015. It made me cry… In a good way! We ordered a very properly prepared Sardine Provincial, and realized we were not experts on the dish. We couldn’t bear the tedious task of bone picking. We spoke with the lovely staff, who all seem to be owners and joint proprietors, due to their care and proud ownership of their establishment and the people in it. Well they not only comped our meal, but replaced it with another selection which was obviously divine. Our patronage and devotion was solidified for life.

Five stars, you ask? I don’t know what it is, but this was the perfect place on the perfect Sunday morning. From salivating in line at the short menu of ten items to getting my latte to my breakfast, I couldn’t think of one thing I wanted to change. My friends took us here on our way from Bellingham to Seattle to fly home. I fell in love with this little town of Edison(actually reminds me of a bigger Stinson Beach) instantly. I had the Shrimp and Grits with sausage. I’m from Louisiana and this was better than any shrimp and grits I grew up with. I try to eat gluten free, but I was so tempted to try one of their beautiful baked pastries. They were beautiful. My husband got the Torta, which was some kind of magical baked thing with ham and egg and cheese in a beautiful pastry. Don’t let the line and the wait scare you. I enjoyed sitting on the outside patio waiting — it was a great way to relax on a Sunday morning. My kind of place.

So so amazed!!! The food was phenomenal and worth every penny. The staff was fun and so obviously passionate about what they do. This place is an instant favorite, maybe even the best farm to table north of seattle. Salmon nicoise was light and beautiful, hash was hearty and full of flavor, but the killer was the torte– huge portions and so so tasty! Can’t wait to be back!

My friend took me here and claimed it’s «the best breakfast north of San Fran.» I called BS. There’s no way. Out here is middle of nowhere Edison, WA? HEISRIGHT. I can write a super lengthy review, but that would take away from my shock and awe. If you are within 50 miles of Tweets, you go. You. Just. Go. Experience the best breakfast north of San Fran for yourself.
