Came here for the 2015 FedExCup Tournament last summer. The grounds are well-cared for, but not pristinely manicured or anything. There’s a dress code of slacks, shorts, and tucked-in shirts with buttons, but I spent the entire day in a T-shirt and jeans.

I am not a golfer and have only experience this club from the view point of events and as a former racquets member. The recent Barclays event did bring several timely upgrades to the grounds but the problem I have seen over the years past has been the quality of the family events. Halloween and Christmas have gone significantly down hill in both the quality of experience and attendance. I am not sure which is the driving force but in the end, at least for me, it reached a point of simply not being worth it.

I went to a company Christmas party here a few weeks ago, and was very impressed. The surroundings are beautiful, and the view at the top of the hill near the clubhouse entrance is absolutely amazing — you can see forever. There was plenty of parking available at the top of the hill. There was a coat check immediately after entering the clubhouse, which was convenient. The cocktail hour was held in the center lobby, and in the room off to the left of the lobby. The bartender was very efficient and provided great drinks quickly. The wait staff was very attentive, clearing tables and offering food frequently. The cheese straws and bruschetta were my favorites. The main room was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and there were plenty of tables available. The dance floor had ample room, and the food was delicious, particularly the penne vodka. The only reason for docking a star was the somewhat dated bathroom on the second floor in the women’s locker room, which surprised me a bit. It was definitely clean and spacious, though, so no harm. I was very happy with the party, and would love to attend another function here someday.
