Birthday In A Box

I wasn’t disappointed, although it looks like other Unilocalers didn’t receive their packages on time (although I always wonder why people late until the VERY LAST SECOND to order when they know the date? You know when the birthday/​anniversary/​shower is, and it’s kind of like Christmas. You know the date, plan for it)… anyhow, I am just commenting on my experience:
I was on ebay looking for party supplies in a «dog theme». Birthday in a Box had items there, the ones that I needed, and I thought I would look at their site directly. I found the same things to be less expensive (no fees to ebay), ordered everything I needed and a couple of other things, and it arrived just a few days later (regular shipping). Yes, I ordered FAR in advance, but I have everything I wanted, some extras and ZERO disappointment.

My child wanted a Darth Vader birthday theme. I looked everywhere for Darth Vader birthday invitations. It was hard to find because of the new movie that came out. But, this place had it! My child is a huge fan and I was happy to have found it.

I had all the problems on the other reviews. They charged my account twice, my bank had to resolve that for me. The package did not arrived by the promised date and finally the product I got was not what I ordered.

We wanted Disney Descendants decorations for our daughter’s birthday party. These were pretty new, so we were unable to find them in the stores. We were glad they were available online. I would not say we got a bargain, but we got the items that we wanted and they arrived in time for the party.

This company is terrible. I am really disappointed. My daughter’s birthday is tomorrow and I had paid for expedited shipping and the party supplies were promised by today but somehow now will not arrive until Monday– after the party!
The customer service basically said too bad «She’s very sorry» but all they can offer me is a refund. Really? Not even a coupon or credit towards a future purchase? Why would I ever give them a second chance? I will never order form this company again.

I ordered three luggage tags for a set of triplets. When they arrived, two of the tags were identical. You can’t see the details of your order on line, so I called. They said I ordered two of the same names, which I didn’t, and wouldn’t send me a copy of my order with the details. This company sucks.

Really great place to buy birthday party extras that nobody else has. My son wanted mine craft and no other store had it. Birthday in a box has awesome stuff!
I was planning to end my review at that, but after reading over the other reviews I feel the need to expand on a big problem apparently. I wasn’t going to mention it and give them the benefit of the doubt that, u know, sometimes crappy stuff happens.
Ok, so, my awesome stuff got here the day after my son’s bday party. It was guaranteed to arrive in 2 days and I ordered it on a Tuesday. His party was Sunday. I paid $ 49.99 for this quick delivery. We didn’t get to use the stuff and will be saved for a later party, and had to make a frantic run to a local party supply store on Saturday night. This really sucked and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. It seems, though that they do have major shipping on time problems. Saying one thing and doing another.
So buyer beware!
Really awesome stuff… just order way way way in advance and don’t waste ur money on expedited shipping… it will not get there in time and they will not return your money.

DO NOT ORDER– it is the day before my son’s BD. Ordered on ⁵⁄₁₇. Box not arrived. Called and customer service said it has been returned per my request. I explained that I had no reason to RETURN! Supervisor Brad #1029 told me they would be happy to take new order and CHARGE ME OVERNIGHT SHIPPING. He would have to send to corporate which takes 24 hours to respond. DO NOT USE — no resolution when there is a problem.

The product that I order not only were they nice and great but they were packaged nicely the Pokemon thank you cards arrived sooner than was expected.

I ordered some Mickey Mouse pins at a great price, My son had a «Mickey Sports» Party so all our guest wore their favorite team jersey I needed a Mickey Mouse touch for out Jerseys and I was able to customize my pins at a reasonable price. My Son’s pin said «Birthday Boy» and ours said «Mommy to the Birthday Boy» & «Daddy to the Birthday Boy» just the perfect Mickey touch to our jerseys.

woke up to 2 charges on my credit card for the same amount!!! have order anything for over a month!!! got a sorry it will take 5 – 7 days for a refund…” we a a glich in our system «its been11 days and an other call and nothing has been refunded!!! going to my bank and the bbb now!!!

If I could this company ZERO stars I would. I placed an order for my daughter’s birthday party and it was GUARANTEED receipt date of January 2^nd. According to the UPS tracking, it was set to be delivered on the 3^rd. Well I ordered the items for my daughter’s birthday that is on the 3^rd. The package was literally sitting at the UPS local site near my house for 3 days before it is supposed to be delivered. UPS was sending my package to the United States Post Office for final delivery. What sense does that make? Birthday in a Box uses this method called «Sure Post» to save the money. I called UPS to ask if I could pick up the package and they said they could not do that and that I had to call Birthday in the Box. Birthday in the Box said they couldn’t do anything after it leaves their warehouse. I told them that it stated GUARANTEED delivery prior to placing my order for January 2^nd. They said because I «chose» economy that doesn’t guarantee shipping. Well that is false advertising because their website GUARANTEED my order to be delivered by January 2^nd.
If you order from them, make sure you don’t need the items by a certain day. I am returning all the items and will never order from them again.

Absolutely love what they had. My son was so happy with the adventure time themed party he had. Great prices and prompt customer service! Thank you guys so much!

HORRIBLE customer service!!! They were going to honor a replacement per an order put on Amazon and then I receive a VM hours later saying sorry, we won’t honor what we said we were going to replace. Too bad. I would NEVER purchase from them again!!!

My first baby’s first birthday is coming up– and of course I had to choose a theme that is discontinued (Winnie the Pooh’s First Birthday) and not available in any stores– anywhere. I mean a new-​ish Winnie the Pooh movie was released in 2011. I really cannot believe that this Disney icon is being fazed out. I do not think that Jake the Pirate, the characters from Brave or Frozen can replace Pooh and his pals. Sadly, even on most of the websites that I checked out, there were only some items available, but not enough to even put together a full set of patterned table wear. I was finding that I would have get napkins one place, a table cloth another, and pay for shipping everywhere.
I was surprised, elated, and doing a happy dance when I found all necessary items, plus some fun add-​ons that I thought my nieces and nephews would enjoy on BIAB. Even with BIAB I had to piece meal my package as since items for this theme are limited they are no longer selling complete Party in a Box sets for 8 – 16 guests. I was able to get the matching plates, cups, napkins, a bib, and table cloths. Also very cute cupcake stands, hats, birthday balloon kit, and party blowers. I also purchased personalized stickers for the goodie bags.
I read all the Unilocal reviews before ordering. The reviews weren’t great. One said that the website added money on at the end for shipping when it was supposed to be free, and when customer service was called that they were unwilling to refund. The shipping cost was added at the end even though at first it said 0.00. When I called customer service the person was extremely friendly and professional. He asked me for the discount code, and my purchase number. I gave him the information and within the hour I received a refund. Was it an extra step, sure, but I went into this thinking that the answer would just be that there was nothing that they could do about it. I really wanted this theme for the party, and was willing to pay the shipping– even though the website said it was free– since I had read about this.
Another issue that I read about was receiving alternate items. The website does state that if you purchase the Birthday in a Box set, that if they run out of the pattern that you ordered that a comparable item would be exchanged. Since this is a discontinued theme, and it did not say on the website how much of each item was still available, I wasn’t sure if I would get everything that I ordered with the theme– the box arrived earlier than expected– and EVERYTHING was with the theme exactly as I ordered it.
I am very pleased with my purchase– and with BIAB.
