Great burgers, tasty and fresh side salad. However, a member of our party took nearly ½ hour to be served after the rest of us, and he ordered at the same time we did. An apology was only offered, the meal should have been free.

Truffle Burger and smash fries do not disappoint. Takes a bit of time for the food to come out but if you want quality you’ll wait a little bit more. There is indoor and outdoor(into the mall) seating. Good service for fast food joint. Did I not mention how good their smash fries are? Shoestring fries drenched in truffle oil; don’t you dare put ketchup on them. They are perfect just the way they are.

I think if you dig deep down in your burger and pour the side of grease off that came with it… it would be a great burger. I do like their fries, but the burger has a lot of grease. Like, it’s kind of ridiculous how much grease there is lol. I’m a huge burger person, but I came back 3 times thinking I would give this place«another chance». The service was okay nothing bad, but nothing too great.

Would you like a burger with your side of grease? I’ve been here three times and every time I’ve left feeling saturated in grease. The burgers are always dripping and I don’t know how they do it but the breaded chicken is also saturated in grease. I’ll admit I like the smash fries but this place isn’t called smash fries, and their claim to fame is seriously mediocre. This is a fast casual restaurant but it is not at all fast. I’ve walked in when there are maybe 5 other groups and literally every table not occupied had garbage from other customers on it. This place just makes me feel dirty thinking out it. I doubt I’ll be back.

I like the food but the service isn’t very good. I ordered online once recently well in advance and had to wait at least 10 minutes to get the food. The last time this tall male cashier kept obnoxiously trying to upsell me on add-ons I didn’t want. I’, ve been to other locations and the service was better but none of them are as good as Culver’s.

Poor service… Walked in and they had a huge line and told customers they didn’t have any change cause didn’t go to bank. Wow! Then ordered a very simple 2 cheeseburgers and hamburger. Forgot the 2nd cheeseburger… Said they would get it… I had to remind them about 5 minutes later… Then made one without the cheese. They are disorganized hear and staff appears confused. One of staff members did apologize twice. On a positive note — the food is delicious.

My husband and I ate here tonight and the place was filthy! There was a wet floor sign that I had to step around and ended up stepping in a glob of mayonnaise. Every table was full of garbage and patrons were bussing then so they could find a place to sit. Our hamburger were delicious but we’ll never go back to this location. The Eden Prairie and Highland Park stores are much cleaner.

A good burger with mediocre accompaniments served in a mall Ambiance: Like dining in a large advertisement with garbage on most unoccupied tables Crowd: Mall patrons Menu: Burgers, a wide assortment of sides, and drinks Service: Perfunctory without the training of a major chain Food Ordered: ClassicSmash ½ lb, Avocado Club ½ lb, SmashFries, Haystack Onions, Chocolate Shake, and Oreo Shake. Food Quality: The ClassicSmash tastes almost exactly like a Hot ‘n Juicy at Wendy’s. The avocado in the Avocado Club was tasteless(likely not ripe). The SmashFries were overseasoned with oil with the rosemary being overpowering on some fries, and absent on others. The Haystack Onions were the thinnest onion rings I’ve ever seen and taste like a Bloomin’ Onion with more grease and less onion flavor. The chocolate shake barely tasted of chocolate. Finally, the Oreo share was quite nice. Value: Poor for $ 27.40. For everything SmashBurger does, Wendy’s does as good or a better job for less money.

My mother and two children regrettably ate at this disgusting example of a restraunt this past saturday. There was absolutely not a single clean table inside the restraunt. Not to mention outside the restraunt on its outdoor seating. We had to clean someone else’s left overs to sit. I approached the counter and asked to speak to the manager where a at first snarky woman snapped im the manager and as a customer I asked her to look around her litter filled restraunt with filthy floors and not a clean table in sight. She paused, looked around and realized how big of a failure her management skills for the place had become. I suggested that I should call health department and her attitude changed dramatically. Even giving us coupons to return… which we used at a different location. Check on my photos … even after they began cleaning.

Came here tonight with my boyfriend really excited for some burgers. We don’t live near a convenient SmashBurger location so we only get to enjoy it very rarely. We’ve always had decent service at this location but after tonights sour experience, I thought I should write a review. We got into line(two groups ahead of us for reference) and started to look through the menu. It wasn’t until conversing for a minute or two when we realized the line wasn’t moving. I couldn’t really tell what was going on, but some confusion about a large order appeared to be happening. When we finally got to the register we knew what we wanted, but the women who had ordered just ahead of us interjected and said she wanted a different type of shake. The cashier looked visibly irritated and a longer than needed conversation took place between the cashier and the employee making the milkshake took place. The cashier told us our total, but my boyfriend asked me if I wanted a drink(he got a shake for himself, and I completely forgot to ask for a soda). So I told the cashier to please add on a small soda, she rolled her eyes and acted like my request was unreasonable and annoying. As someone who currently works register at retail, I get how draining it is when you have difficult customers, but the moment they’re gone you have to suck it up and assist the next customer with your best attitude. Having a busy night is no excuse for rude service and that’s why I’m giving this a 3 star review. You never take the frustrations of one customer on another, it’s unfair and unprofessional. It’s also distasteful when you can hear the workers bad mouthing a customer that was just serviced, which the cashier was clearly doing. We sat down and got our food within 1 minute. This isn’t an exaggeration. We literally found a place to sit and immediately our burgers were ready(my boyfriends shake took about 5 – 7 minutes to arrive, but I think they had a huge order of shakes from multiple customers and only one mixer, so it was understandable). They were delicious and I honestly can say that Smashburger is my favorite fast food burger place, but that cashier needs to hold back her emotions and do here job right.

Smash burger provides a consistently strong burger and shakes. Specifically, I Love the twin cities burger and onion rings! It’s in a decent location in the southdAle food court and even has nice outdoor seating in the summer.

Smashburger is the best if the best when it comes to fast casual burger joints(in my humble opinion). Their smash fries(crispy shoestrings with rosemary) are really great. I also think their salads are a really great value at $ 6.99(my wife had the baja cobb today). My only small critique is their meat to bun ratio(where the burger tends to get lost a little). This particular store is at Southdale mall so it can get a little busy on the weekends but it appears to be run well by a hands on manager.

While the food was good, the customer service was lacking. That’s the main reason why I won’t be back to Smashburger, or at least this location. There was no organization where you order, even though there were stanchions for a line/queue. So you had a bunch of people waiting to order. We were up next, but Heather, the cashier, was going to wait on a couple that came after us. She told them, «If it’s alright, I’ll help these guys first.» We said they better be okay with it because we were first. She curtly replied, «Well, I didn’t know». I know I need to be nice and refrain from any personal attacks, but Heather really had trouble focusing. I would recommend a drug check just by the way she was acting. She was acting like she was hopped up on something. Strike one. I ordered a burger without onions, and guess what I received? A burger with onions. Strike two. I was walking back from the drink station to my table when an employee came charging out of a door, and I had to abruptly stop for her. She looked at me and kept going without an apology. Strike three. Another reason was the atmosphere here was not at all relaxing. Most of the employees were talking very loudly. Just because you’re speaking loudly to a person doesn’t mean you’re giving them good service. The manager was so loud, I jumped a couple of times when he was walking behind me with a high chair. Here’s a tip: turn down the music if you can’t hear each other. The best part of my meal were the Veggie Frites. But as others noted, you’re paying more here than at a typical burger joint. The tables needed to be wiped down more because they serve you your food in these wire baskets that aren’t the best choice for serving messy food. Most people rate food as the main reason why they do or do not return to an eating establishment. While I agree the food has to be a good reason, I rate customer service equal to the quality of the food. This first experience at Smashburger left me hungry. Not for food, but quality customer service.

The food was fine — typical smash burger. But the service seemed confused. The location is fairly new but not so new they should still be wondering how they work. The sweet potato fries are great. I am sure this place will get better and better.

*Great fries! They’re skinny, crispy & well salted. *The classic smash [burger] is good, although a bit salty. The regular size(1/3lb meat) is definitely satisfying. Skip the big(½ lb) and save a dollar(unless you’re starving like Marvin). *To wash it all down, note that bottled water is $ 2.29, fountain soda is $ 1.89/$ 2.29(depending on size). Considering everything is sold a-la-carte(no value meals), bring your own drink from the dollar store downstairs. This fast food isn’t cheap @ $ 10 for a basic burger, fries and soda. However, because I left extremely stuffed and I overall enjoyed my meal I won’t complain; I just won’t make coming here a regular occurrence… but I will be back.
