I’ve heard mixed reviews on Unilocal about food.. so we ate elsewhere beforehand.
Greeter /​front desk person seemed nice enough. $ 2.00 for a coat check seems a bit greedy to me. .. gotta make your money somewhere I guess though. .. leaving it in the car is free (especially when the coat check sign says «still not responsible for stolen /​lost goods even when coat checked» — same policy goes for my locked car under parking lot cameras.
Games were fun, $ 25.00 was enough points for a date. The $ 2.00 for a new game card activation was also a bit greedy.. for the love of *** haha, lots of little unexpected charges (save your cards I guess, don’t toss em’ once empty!)
Lots of cool /​fun games, my beef with the point redemption area is that THERE ARE NO «CHEAP» GIFTS. When your at like a «Grand Slam» or «Chucky Cheese» or something like that,. . and you see the «dang those high ticket value prizes look cool» are the entire point redemption area here.. . no cheapo little bouncy balls /​tootsie rolls (which I guess doesn’t fit the target market of adults but still. . not trying to come here 10+ times to only leave with 1 prize, ya know? Also, the Caucasian mid 20’s something looking gentleman who was about 5’11″ looking who was working the ticket redemption area was a little passive-​agressive and didn’t say two words to me when I greeted him and inquired about the balance on my card (1÷26÷16 approx. 7:00PM). He also had no shame in regards to being on his phone the whole time while we were in there — I’m a millenial too, but seriously, you’re at work you lazy POS you can text all of your 3 friends once you get home.. SMH.. . people who are glued to their phones should just remain unemployed.
4 — player air hockey was awesome, as was the «crazy tons of dropped pucks» air hockey game thing.
½ POINTS ON GAMES WEDNESDAY had me thinking.. «why the heck did I come here on a Tuesday» hahaaha ooh well.. .
good use of the entire (old) food court area of Southdale.. may that food court RIP for those of us old enough to remember it *moment of silence for it*

Games are in pretty good shape although expensive. Lots of options for food but just find it average. Good beers on tap and have unique drinks.

Eat. Drink. Play. This would be the place for that! They have these awesome beer set ups that you put on your parties table and put the tap your self. It is worst it for an affordable price worth sharing with friends.
Appetizers: Do NOT try those pretzel bread with the marinara sauce… It’s just greasy and gross. I would recommend the calamari though. It was not too bad!
Entrée: I recommend the grilled salmon. It comes with brown rice mixed with red peppers. You also has spinach on the side. I split this dish with my boyfriend and I was satisfied with the portion size. I had enough room for… Drinks!
Drinks: I would recommend one of their margaritas or the mojitos. If you don’t like the different types of drinks they make, you can always just ask for a normal mojito, etc.
Dessert: my friends ordered the smores and shared it with everyone. This had a candle with chocolate on top that was melted in a black bowl. They give you toothpicks and you can dip marshmallows, brownies, cheesecake, Graham crackers and other things into the chocolate.
This is a fun place to go with large groups of friends because you can play games and compete with each other
Overall, experience is fun but the food is subpar

Dave and Buster’s has always been one of my favorite places to visit. Who doesn’t like dinner and games? It’s a great place to bring a date!
I visited the new Southdale Mall location on a sunday evening, they don’t have their own door to the outside, so you’ll have to walk through the mall to gain access to the place. Luckily it was relatively quite and there wasn’t any waiting to play any games. Here’s a tip, trade in your tickets for some free Appetizers or Desserts!
We decided to play and have fun before dinner since we weren’t very hungry to start. The Host stand was empty as we walked up to try and get a table. We waited just a few minutes before a manger greeted us and asked if anyone had helped us yet, which no one had. We were then seated and given our menu’s.
Our waitress seemed a bit busy dealing with a party of about 12 people, so she took a while to get to us. After taking out drink orders, the same manager from before comes back to take our drink orders again saying he was helping our waitress. I’m not sure why she didn’t just give him our orders in the first place. Things seemed a bit disorganized because of all of this…
Our meals finally came and things were ok, I ordered the Lawnmower (Cobb Salad) It’s large enough for two people FYI. I thought it was pretty good.
Overall, the dining service was a bit disappointing, so I had to bring down the star rating for this location.

My son will never tire of this place & I don’t mind it myself either. Our server was very nice & checked on me often. Food was fantastic. We spent about 3 hours at this place. My son came out with a bag full of prizes.

I have been twice to the Edina location and the food was ok both times. However, the second time I came with a large party and was treated as if my business was not welcome. The greeter and the manager on duty on Saturday January 2, 2016 was very rude and being a typical but-​hole. I initially expected about 20 people, but soon found there to be about 30. They wouldn’t even seat us until at least 18 people were there and then they couldn’t seat us together. Then when the additional people started showing up the greeter became very rude and obnoxious to the point that I wanted to pick up all my guest and go else where. The manager on duty was a complete no show and offered no help at all. I will say that after that experience that they will not see me ever again.

Twig & Barry’s™ ROCKS! We showed up like 5mins before close and they let us bring our dog and we ate some Nacho’s™ and proceeded to Paint the Town DEAD with Morty Kombat™ !!
Then we just got UTTERLY WASTED with the staff after hours and we got a ride home to BURNSVILLE from our server who got pulled over by a mall cop he but let us go because they were pals!
Guess I don’t know what all the fuss is about???

Went here for date night, and the food was surprisingly really well prepared. I got a steak with onion strings and it was cooked perfectly. It’s also a great deal to package your food with arcade credit. We spent about an hour playing video games and then went back to the restaurant to have dessert (the donut balls).
We went here on a Tuesday and there was hardly anyone there. There were maybe 2 kids in the entire place, so we could play pretty much whatever we wanted. I disagree with the previous reviewers saying the games were sticky… they were all clean.
My only gripe is that they don’t have any classic arcade games here, like at the Maple Grove location. We’ll be back, though.

Nope! Food is horrible, had the golden tenders meal-​fries were cold, chicken tasted like nothing-​server was not good-​she didn’t know what she was doing! She charged us for drinks we didn’t even have-​like wtf! If you’re going to be a server know your god damn table numbers! That’s where your job starts! And offering drinks/​specials is apart of your job too-I’m a server and I know how it is-​but common don’t give me an attitude when I simply need to correct you on the bill! Shouldn’t have to hunt you down either!

Went with two friends. I ordered the Short Rib Mac & Cheese sandwich. This was so bad I sent it back. Friend one got chicken pasta and it came without the chicken. Friend two got the buffalo wings and she didn’t complain.
The server was slow though polite and didn’t make a fuss with our complaints. The manager did his best to make it right by giving free drinks and offering replacements.
The drinks are weak and of low quality.
The games are fun but a complete rip off. Way overpriced. A lot of them don’t even have instructions on what to do so you are expected to waste money just to learn the game.
There should be at least one full time employee who does nothing but walk around cleaning the games.
I thought the pictures of the food in the menu were some of the best I have ever seen.

This is Chuck E Cheese for adults. There are tons of games but you can’t use quarters you have to buy a pass. There are numerous large screen TVs to watch all kinds of sports, but they are located around the stand up bar. This location is in a mall so be careful if you drink and decide to drive because the cops are prevalent.
Being middle aged
is for 18 – 25 year old drinkers. The bartenders run around and you miss the personal service of talking to someone.
If you want a loud kid oriented theme with lots of
play this is. your place.

Dear parents,
Please. Please stop bringing your children here. There are chuck e cheeses. Why do you insist on ruining my good time by letting your hellspawn run loose while you look on apologetically with your dead eyes. A haiku for you: Games are so sticky. Your kids are screaming loudly. Still, you do nothing.

At first I was excited to venture into Dave and Busters, I’ve heard tales of great food, great drink, and great games. this being said I was not impressed. Our server was great she refilled our drinks and brought out our food fast. I was really impressed by this because it was pretty busy.
Our food on the other hand was terrible. I was craving a burger and the pictures in the menu showed this awesome looking succulent patty that my tounge would of been proud to touch, so of course I ordered it and requested it to be cooked well done.
Have you ever bought some of those cheap Wal-​Mart patties put them in the freezer, forgot about them, then months/​years later while cleaning out your freezer you find a frosted box of patties and deside «well what the hell I’ll throw them on the grill» after fighting the flames from all of the grease these patties spit out, you finally got this white looking hunk of meat that you take one bite of and look at the date on the box and figure out they were a year and a half old. well that’s what I paid $ 12 for. Good thing I had my $ 6.50 tap beer to wash the nasty mix of grease and loose meat down. (I’m guessing the beer was brewed from the tears of gods, because I’ve never in my life paid that much for a beer.)
I don’t know if all Dave and buster locations are like this but this one needs some food work. I would not spend money on the food again.

Sigh, i am going to cut this location some slack because it just recently opened. With that being said i have been to this location twice and both experiences were sub-​par. The game area is clean, and super fun no complaints, the resturaunts employees on the other hand could use some work. The bartenders are great, hosts are nice, but the servers… Its like russian roulette, but both times its a 10 minute wait until they greet you. The food is alright its nothing fancy, but the drinks are rad. Just go to the bar and drink and play.

My sister and I went there a couple of weeks ago. We ordered the buffalo wing burger. The hamburger patty was rancid. You could smell the rotting meat. We didn’t eat it. After the waiter finally came back and asked us how it was and we told him, he never offered anything. He charged us for it and went on his way (he had to get back up front to flirt with the hostesses).
The bus boy told us that he doesn’t like the burgers either and won’t eat them because they smell and taste bad. We are pretty sure their hamburgers are actually rancid horse meat. We looked around and saw two guys wolfing down burgers. We’re sure they were up the rest of the night yacking them back up.

We had an alright experience today. Someone in the front named Rudy was very condescending and rude, while our server Dave was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! The food was ok, games were somewhat sticky.

Ah, D&B. A throwback to childhood, but with an adult beverage in hand. The kid in me loved this! The adult in me scoffed at how much it cost to play. Fortunately, we got here during happy hour so the beers were cheap, but a Coors should never cost more than $ 3 IMO. Anyway, as we wandered around playing over priced games, I couldn’t help but feel like there were far too many children around for this to be my adult dream. By accident I put my hand down on a surface near the 4-​person Pac Man game and I had to wash my hands in the bathroom to get the stickiness off. I swear, kids always have jam hands, even at D&B.
It was a decent outing, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a blast while playing the games. And I must give a shout out to our server, Bruce, who was a rock star. But between the stickiness and the pricey games, no thanks.

Ugh… hate to do it, but we went there this weekend and obviously, they are not known for their food. My chicken dish came out and the texture of it was horrible! It tasted like reheated chicken at best. I ad to send it back. They were great at taking it back and refunding me the money. My drink was good and my nephews and nieces seemed to enjoy the games. The food… ugh!

This is my first review on Unilocal.Dave and Busters has been open for about two weeks. I’m not terribly interested in the video games and whatnot, but a new bar/​restaurant in the area is always fun to check out.
I went on Tuesday night, and the doorman told me it was taco Tuesday. So, I sat at the bar and ordered 4 tacos and a diet coke.
The tacos are $ 1.00 each, and they are very good! For $ 3.00 you can upgrade to fish. I stuck with beef.
The service was very friendly and energetic. I am excited to have another option in the area, and I might have to try a game or two one of these days!

We were there this past Saturday and it was a perfect experience. Staff was great! Server was very friendly and food was excellent. Wide variety of games for all ages. Hoping they keep this place in tip top shape and we will be customers for life!
