Dr. Tope is an excellent doctor! I have seen many dermatologists for both medical and cosmetic reasons and he is by far the most caring, patient and thoughtful.
I have never had a dermatologist spend so much time on a full body skin check. Usually a doctor does a quick glance over in 5 – 10 minutes (because many feel like they’re wasting time), but Dr. Tope spends over a half hour looking at every mole with a little scope and checking every crevice which makes me feel so much more comfortable. Nothing is overlooked! He has discovered a few «questionable» moles in the past and carefully removed them. Thankfully, they were benign, but I am so happy that he found them and then sent the samples to get tested. He also helped me with treating the areas afterwards to prevent scarring with the machines he has in his office — he definitely stands by his work!
My husband’s mother had recently passed from metastasized melanoma and I had mentioned this to Dr. Tope during my first appointment. He sympathized with me and I told him that this was one of the reasons behind my decision to now truly take care of my skin and get regular skin checks. He understood and recommended that my husband also come in for a check up soon as melanoma is very hereditary. My husband later called the office to make an appointment, but unfortunately there was a long wait period. I then called back and spoke with the front desk and mentioned my conversation with Dr. Tope from my recent visit. After checking with Dr. Tope, they were able to schedule an appointment for the following up week! We were very grateful that they were able to adjust the schedule and accommodate the appointment so quickly. Dr. Tope truly makes time for his patients!
Dr. Tope is very skilled with injectibles and fillers as well. I went to him for botox prior to my big wedding day! He made me feel very relaxed and explained to me what we were going to do and how he was going to do it, all while looking into a mirror. I took his advice and only needed a little bit in the area. The final result looked very natural — my skin looked very smooth and I could still move my forehead, which is exactly what I wanted. I was thrilled with the results!
The staff is very friendly, and both setting up an appointment and checking in has always been a breeze. Zeina is very sweet! The office itself is beautiful — very modern and clean, with a cozy waiting room (the chairs are so comfortable!) and multiple exam rooms. It’s located inside a big medical and office building on France Ave, but there is a very big parking lot in front and also complimentary valet so I’ve never had an issue with parking. And I love that they have little samples of great lotions at the front!
