Established in 2012.

Zen Music was found in the year 2000 and has helped thousands of students develop their musical talents. Zen Music’s priority is to help students achieve their highest musical skill, as well as develop genuine interest and love for the world of music.

Meet the Business Owner

Stella C.

Business Owner

Originally from Taiwan, Stella Chiu served as the principal flutist of the North American Elite Orchestra in 1999. After studying at the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, China, she received her bachelor of music degree with cum laude at SUNY Purchase in orchestral performance and a master of music degree at New York University, School of Education. Winner of the Bach and Handel Competition, she was a member of the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra (flutist) and the New York Youth Chamber Music (pianist). Stella performed in Italy, China, Hong Kong, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, and recorded music for the Discovery Channel.

As the owner of Zen Music, Stella has been teaching for over 10 years and has over 40 students of all ages. She also teaches Music Theory and Aural Learning classes in preparation for the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Exams. Many of her students pass the ABRSM exams with the honor
