History

Established in 2006.

The Park family brings the same outstanding quality and service from Rochelle Park, NJ. They dedicated over twenty years of service in that community before bringing their business to Edgewater in 2006. Their expertise and experience resulted in a business that held a reputation as an outstanding dry cleaner.

The ValuClean founders, with combined over fifty years experience, is an innovator in developing unique products for dry cleaners, introduced ValuClean, a concept of custom and luxury dry cleaning at Valu prices, to enable a wiede spectrum of the population to enjoy luxury dry cleaning.

Business Owner

Bruno is a professional dry cleaner with over 25 years experience. He and his wife Martha are originally from South Korea. Bruno emigrated here as a part of the Hyundai work force, he and his family decided on a new life here in America to pursue the American Dream. Resident of New Jersey since 1985, Bruno has been dedicated to learning new and innovative technologies in dry cleaning. He is an active community member, serving as the secretary of the Korean-​American Dry Cleaner’s Association of New Jersey. He is a proud grandfather of three grandchildren and father of two.

This place is great. It is cheap and efficient. Staff are friendly. My husband has sweat stains on his shirts and they get them out. Plus coco and ice tea come here. If it is good enough for them it is good enough for us!

This is a description of the experience with ValuClean Cleaners establishment at 850 River Road, Edgewater, NJ.
Attracted by the promotion for men’s shirts cleaned for $ 1, I’ve also brought in my female summer clothes that needed a clean after a trip to the Caribbean. To my big surprise, the total bill for 6 flimsy items was $ 54. 3 of them were labeled as «sweaters» (those included a sleeveless skinny top, see-​through mesh top and a weightless summer tunic) — with the cleaning price tag of more than $ 7 each. The unlined summer skirt was marked as a «dress», and commanded $ 15 fee to clean. The other 2 light summer tops with barely there sleeves were marked as «blouses» (though none of my items had buttons), and the charge was about $ 9 for each. When I’ve protested the designations and subsequent prices charged, the owner said she charges the same for the sweater and any top (??? — isn’t it obvious there is a huge difference in the amount of the cleaning agent to be used?). Yes, she recognized that there were no dress brought in and gave me back $ 5. Do I have to say I’m not going back there? — Irina G.

They do good work. My only complaint is sometimes I like to pick up my clothes instead of having it delivered and even though I tell them i am picking them up they get delivered.

This place is good for everything; my expensive jeans, gowns, silk shirts, etc. I trust them with it all. It’s a nice feeling dropping off my clothes knowing that I will get every piece back in mint condition!

I went to hem my skinny jeans. When I went to pick them up, they were stretched out at the bottom when stitching the new length. Now it has a scallop shape to the ankle opening and cannot be fixed.
I will not return for any other service here.

My husband and I have been using ValuClean for 3.5 years now. Service is prompt, friendly, and good. They made a couple of mistakes, but fixed them and did right by us, so we are still loyal customers. I would recommend this place and I have very high end designer clothes they clean.

This place does terrible business. First, they only pick up/​deliver twice a week, which I believe to be less than ideal but accepted since they had been recommended to me by another customer. Two weeks ago, they forgot to deliver my clothes. This week, they did not even pick them up. Turns out they provide a red or blue bag with their name on it for you to leave your clothes — I was never provided with a bag nor even mentioned there is one. So when I left my clothes in a regular bag (with their name and my apt # in big bold letters), they just disregarded it. When I inquired why they never gave me a bag in the first place, they said «we are not going to give explanations». I just closed my account and wil take my business elsewhere. There are tons of dry cleaners in the area, please don’t support rude and inefficient establishments.

I’ve been dropping off my clothes at Valuclean for about 4 years now. I moved to Hackensack about 2 years ago, but still make the drive to Edgewater to have my clothes cleaned here. It’s a long drive and it’s definitely out of my way. But there are a few reasons why I continue to do business with them.
1. Quality — After moving to Hackensack, I’ve tried different cleaners around the area, but none of them left my clothes with a sense of freshness/​cleanliness like Valuclean. I feel a level of peace and confidence leaving my clothes with them because the quality of cleaning has always been outstanding.
2. Customer service — They go the extra mile for their patrons. On a number of occasions they’ve replaced damage buttons and small tears without me asking.
I appreciate the fact that they’re always willing to work with you. Customer service alone deserves 5 stars!
3. The owners — Business is always about professionalism and service (which they have!), but what separates this particular establishment and keeps me coming back happens to be the owners. They’re friendly, kind, and down to earth people who are always welcoming.

i dropped off a white, cotton tunic which needed minor mending and cleaning. upon picking it up i noticed it looked filthy, even more so than when i had dropped it off. it almost looked like someone had used it as a dust rag, and then ironed it. i was like, really? this is the best they could do? i went back in and explained this to one of the ladies who works there and she looked at me like i was crazy, and suggested i throw the garment in the garbage since it would never be able to be cleaned. i, in turn, looked at her like she was crazy for just charging me 9.50 for the most horrible dry cleaning job ever. she should have taken the garment back and either cleaned it again (or for the first time, whatever), or not have charged me. i mean, these are business basics. i have been a good customer of theirs for over a year, i am always pleasant, and i bring many things there for alterations and cleaning. needless to say, i will be going elsewhere for future dry cleaning and alteration services.
while i’m here i will also say, they are over priced. i don’t give a rat’s A if rachel ray went there or some basketball player goes there or whatever. they have all these framed pictures of famous clients when you walk and it’s like, ok… i want my damn clothes clean.
i give 2 stars because the older man is nice and he fixed a button for free once. but seriously valuclean, get it together.

Great family-​owned business. The staff is very friendly, the environment is very clean, and you can rest assured knowing that all of the cleaning and tailoring is done in-​house. The owners are usually around and are great people to talk to. If you haven’t gone here before, just try going once and you’ll be impressed at how nice a dry cleaning place can be.

Friendly service and professional service.
Not sure what else you can fault a dry cleaning service for. I’ve had plenty of clothing cleaned and altered here and it’s always been a bullseye.
Plus they have their own parking lot which is really convenient.
