Worst haircut ever. Its so uneven I have to now go get it fixed somewhere else. Whatever you do, don’t let Sun cut your hair. I said I just wanted a trim and she totally butchered me. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $ and go somewhere else!

Not that bad. It depends on the person that does cutting. I had some good experiences and I had a couple of really bad once. I would give them another try.

STAY AWAY!!! I took my 2,5 yr old son and Crystal chopped his hair so bad that I had to take him somewhere else to get it fixed. Crystal, the stylist was so miserable from the start and has a major attitude problem. She is so unfriendly and has no idea how to cut a boy’s hair. She cut my son’s hair crooked and gave me a huge attitude when i kindly asked her to fix it. She then cut it even worse. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!

Nobody speaks English therefore I couldn’t get across what I wanted. Literally just had my sides done then went somewhere else for top because she used a 1 clip instead of a 3. I should have checked out Unilocal

I’ve had some pretty bad experiences at this location but nothing tops last night. I was in a pinch and had to get a haircut for the new job I’m beginning. I specified low fade knowing my hair sticks up and doesn’t look professional if it is to high. The lady, I think Josefina Bruno, proceeds to start off low and then buzzes the entire side part out of my hair. If I had wanted the hipster style without a side part, I would have asked for it! I’m trying to look professional and she completely ruined that chance for me. I have never grabbed the sheers out of the barbers hand regardless of how bad the cut was, but this lady kept on creeping up on the sides and her fade was completely disheveled looking, so I grabbed her sheers to stop her from cutting anymore.
The manager came and took over my cut to fix it, and even admitted that whatever she did was the best she could do to not make my hair look weird. She even suggested that I not do my hair as I’ve been doing because it won’t look good for now. But after all of this, I had to still pay for this horrible haircut and will be able to get a free haircut only next time if that manager is there? Are you freaking kidding me? What the hell makes you believe I want to ever step foot in this location or any Great Clips ever again? As I said, I’m not someone to ever complain and for me to write this is a big deal. I’m still seething from how horrendous the experience was, and this is about 12 hours later.
Something needs to be done! People should stop going here not let these awful people ruin anyone else’s hair!

Ok I have to say that I went there with extremely low expectations due to all the negative reviews. However I really needed a trim and I had spare time after my wax at European Wax right next door. On a Saturday morning at 9:15am there was no wait. I was greeted quickly by the next available stylist, Katelynn. She asked me what I needed done then we proceeded to get a wash. The wash was just okay, but that could just be me since I am used to the ones in Chinatown where they really scrub with their nails and give me a massage afterwards. Anyways, I digress… Once I got into the chair, the stylist was nice enough to advise that everything is a la carte so I don’t get surprised by the bill in the end. I appreciated that as some salons hit you with a big tab afterwards with no warning. Katelynn was very careful and made sure to ask me how much to take off since I am growing out my hair and hate short bangs. The blowout was nice too but I think it was a bit pricey since I have gotten better ones in the city for much cheaper (like $ 15 cheap!!). Ultimately I am happy with my last minute decision to walk in despite the reviews. It’s just a matter a luck with Great Clips depending on who you get paired with. Final bill $ 55 ($ 20 for wash and cut plus $ 35 for blowout).

Beware stay away ! They chopped my hair !! The woman did not know how to use scissors. I did not pay them and screamed for what they had done to my beautiful hair. 0 stars

Really bad at treating customers. It does not matter if have made online reservation or not, they take other customer before you.

I was visiting friends w/​my daughter (7yrs) in Edgewater, NJ. My hair was driving me crazy and Chris’s was a mess. We stopped into Supercuts. It was early afternoon Jan 28 and Sharon was soon available for my daughter. She put her at ease; asking her great questions & getting her to relax. Shortly thereafter, Christina was able to take me. While we didn’t chat much, she actually listened to me in how I liked my hair to be cut. (I’m blind in my right eye due to a car accident.) I couldn’t be happier. We will be back here for our cuts. In fact, including the cost of transport versus what I have paid in Manhattan is far less & I felt that the people actually cared about us. Kudos to the Edgewater Supercuts.

Pretty bad… messed up my son’s hair and had to fix it at home. I did call and ask if they cut hair for 18 month olds… they said yes. The woman that cut my son’s hair kept on saying he’s moving too much and she’s afraid to cut… well, if they had experience then they would know. You get what you pay for… going back to Pumpkin and Bean… expensive but they know how to handle yound kids.

Despite the reviews I decided to stop by on a monday evening for a quick trim for me and my 6 year old girl, and gotta say it was quick and pleasant, place was clean Amanda was super nice and patient with my daughter, they used biolage products to wash our hair, i didnt style it so I’m not sure how it is as far as blow drying but for a basic wash and cut I was pleasantly surprised!

Just called the place to book a cut for my daughter. The phone was answered by someone who barely spoke English, but that’s Ok, we all came from somewhere, right? After I asked if the price of haircut includes blow dry, the woman shrieked: «are you crazy, lady? Hello! Who pay the rent? You? «. O… K… Definitely not setting foot there even though I live in town…

Awful service. Nobody even acknowledged me as I stood at the desk waiting to be checked in. So I stood there awkwardly for 2 – 3 mins before someone told me to have a seat. I was only there for a trim, but I was surprised the woman cut my hair without wetting it at all. If you’re looking for an inexpensive haircut, try supercuts in Hoboken.

Bought my 3 year old to get a haircut, he was awesome, didn’t move or try to jump out of the chair. The hairdresser, (Giselle or something like that) was sweet but gave the absolute worst haircut I have ever seen. I thought the layer she cut on top (yes layers cause that’s the only way I can describe it) would grow back — not a chance. Its been a week and I now have to give my little guy a buzz cut to fix the what she did. Wow– never never again– stay away!!!

Brought my 2 and 4 year old boys in for haircuts and they both look great. The stylists were receptive to requests and feedback along the way, and they were patient with the kids. Great place for an economical kids haircut!

Over two weeks since I went in with my husband to get our hair cut. We aren’t the couple that gets hair cuts together on a regular basis; we happened to need hair cuts at the same time, I am a low maintenance kind of lady, the price was right, and this place had alright reviews. Also, we live in Edgewater, so it was a lot more convenient to go here than into the city. I normally pay about 65.00 to have my hair cut. I have bangs and am growing my hair out, so the rest only needs to be trimmed.
The salon itself is nice upon entering. They have a TV in the waiting area and there were a few people in there getting the hair cut when we got there. Once seated in the chair, I did notice the floor in the immediate area had quite a bit of hair from a previous customer. Kind of a turn off. We used the online check in but we still had to wait about 10 – 15 minutes. No big deal. There was a girl having her hair cut so I felt slightly more relieved that «yes, other women go here.» However, I believe she was with the manager and if I am correct, the manager has some good reviews. I had my hair cut first, with a woman who was nice enough, but made me nervous when she started cutting my bangs. It was like it was the first time she cut bangs. Ever. Like I said, I’m low maintenance, but that doesn’t mean I cut my hair with a weed wacker. I do like to leave a salon and feel good about myself, not leave wishing it were December, when it’s actually July, so I could at least wear a beanie cap till my hair grew out. Ugh. During the hair cut, she seemed distracted. At one point, she used her hands to press my bangs down, in an attempt to… I’m not sure. Harness some kind of spiritual energy so that my bangs would miraculously grow back? Again, it was July, and it was a pretty hot that day. I had arrived with damp hair, and didn’t want a blow dry, yet she started using the hair dryer anyhow and I actually told her to stop. Twice. I was actually sweating, probably in combination of the heat and the nervousness on how this haircut was ultimately going to turn out. She even remarked «Oh, you’re sweating? Are you hot?» as she was blowdrying. The rest of the hair, I’m not even sure if she trimmed it to be honest. But, whatever. I was more concerned about the bangs. What a doozey. They were lopsided and seemed to all angle towards the middle. Very Eddie Munster. The sides…(face palm).
My husband’s hair cut did turn out alright. The same woman cut his hair and she did use a ton of gel in it, which he never uses product. We had a laugh over that. The next day, showered and ready for work, he looked totally fine and normal. I, on the other hand, have been in hiding since. I did end up trimming the bangs again myself, very minimally, but just to the Munster thing would go away, and to kind of do something about the sides… mainly because I couldn’t muster the courage to go to my usual place in the city and face my real hair dresser and ask her to fix it.
I don’t like writing a poor review for any business, but my hair cut by Great Clips in Edgewater was horrendous. I feel that if you are a woman and/​or don’t have a buzz cut or a very short hair style, you should go elsewhere. I think this place specializes in short hair styles. Or, if you absolutely have to go here, make a big effort to have your hair cut by the manager. She seemed to know what she was doing.

Got sucked in by the special $ 3.99 haircut, waited 40 minutes and realized that if you check in online you basically don’t have to wait but screw the people waiting, fair? Not really! I left without getting an haircut. Gave this place another shot, haircut is $ 6.99, after the haircut I went home to wash my hair and everything was uneven. I went back to super cut the day to get a REAL cut. This place is seconds from my house, but I would rather going to super cut even though its a bit further.

Well, gotta say, after not getting the BEST haircut in the world on my first visit, I went back, and Katrina, the manager, assured me that it would be corrected. She cut it exactly the way I liked it and really knew what she was doing. She took care of me, even staying later than normal, as I came in late. She makes a great manager and I’m sure this Great Clips will be successful. The other girl that was working that night that cut my son’s hair did a great job as well.
Kudos to them for reversing my initial decision!

So, I get sucked in by the $ 2.99 Grand Opening special and planned to get a trim since I couldn’t make it to my regular stylist. Parking is ample but poorly designed for this new complex … an accident waiting to happen. Just drive slowly and avoid the over-​eager parkers and watch the turns (narrow lanes and bad visibility).
Great Clips is an a la carte shop. Cuts are normally $ 14, shampoos another $ 4. Not sure if the styling is extra (i.e, blow dry) but regular styling was listed at $ 20.
I arrived at the salon and there was only one woman and her son in the waiting area. Great! I should be second on the list. Nope, there were five other names in front of me. No big deal … so I’ll wait. The receptionist called the next person on the list via phone and waited 15 minutes for her party of four to get in. Irked that there isn’t a first come, first served policy, I still waited patiently for my $ 3 trim.
While I waited, I saw several women and children get their hair cut. After seeing their results, I got a little scared and debated whether I was about to make a big mistake. Layers and lengths looked uneven and I saw the woman who was in front of me point out several points of concern on her new hair cut to the stylist. Then she had the stylist fix her son’s hair (he had gotten it cut the day before). Taking that as my cue, I headed for the door. A bargain is a bargain but a bad hair cut is 3 months.
I think this place is great for kids and people who may want non complicated hair styles. But I’m not sure if I will take a chance on this place.
