History
Established in 2008.
The Captain Morse House was built by whaling Captain John O. Morse in 1840. He was the most successful of the Edgartown whaling captains. My family bought the home in 1955 and started to rent out just the back of the home, hence the two kitchens. Today the home is rented mostly as a complete unit from early spring to late fall. We host 20 or so groups each year.

Business Owner
I spent all of my summers on the island until 1977 when I graduated from Tufts University and started to run a sports business in Newport RI. In 2007 I sold Island Sports and began to manage the Captain Morse House full time. I get to the island several times a year to work on the house and catch up with old friends. I am married with two sons.
