Specialties
The Garden of Readin’ is a used book shop located in the heart of historic Edenton, NC. We have books in every genre, for children and adults, from current bestsellers to antiquarian and rare — plus prints, movies, music and audio books — presented in a clean, tranquil, well-organized and sunny space.
We are proud of our generous trade-in program, which allows our customers who have brought in items to receive 50% off on their purchases. And we can sell your more valuable items on consignment.
We also offer a wide selection of delicious organic, free trade certified teas (hot & iced), coffee & cocoa prepared to order by the cup or pot. Free WiFi.
History
Established in 2009.
The Garden of Readin’ began life as a small sideline inside a local coffee shop, but over several years we completely outgrew our space there. We renovated a building around the corner and opened for business here on February 18, 2013.
Meet the Business Owner
Terri F.
Business Owner
The Garden of Readin’ is the third specialty shop Terri has owned, and her second bookshop. She is also a graphic designer, and has brought her design sensibility into the shop, using colors and space planning to create a welcoming, inviting environment in which to browse. She is, of course, an avid reader, book lover & tea drinker!
