Coaches Pub and Grill

Talk about luck of the irish! We had just finished 3 days of visiting relatives in the Philly area, and since our flight was so blasted early we nailed a $ 69 hotel (Quality Inn) south of Philly airport. With time to kill, we drove about 3 blocks to the first decent looking bar-​Coaches. Lucky us! They were totally in St Pats celebration mode dressed in green, live band, free ham, corned beef, potatoes, and real people. We met a 77 Year Old irish couple whom had been married 55 years and they became our new heroes.
Great grilled cheese sandwich with peppers, perfectly crisp, and good wine specials (we don’t do beer). After a few pops, we were lured to polka dance and tried a few reels, it was just major local fun. Sometimes, you just fall into a great time! Good service from the barmaids, and amazing what people do in South Philly on a Sunday afternoon.
