Mark Gardner has over 30 years experience helping people to solve life problems, know God, hear God’s voice, and experience more of the Abundant Life Jesus promised. He is an expert Christian life skills coach and master disciple maker. He has worked as a marriage counselor, mental health and addictions counselor, pastor, spiritual director, and since 2005, as a Life Skills Coach.
Mark has worked one-on-one with over 3.000 people helping them with marriage, family, and other relationship situations; deepening their relationship with God; healing painful memories; overcoming depression, anxiety, anger, grief, and other emotional issues; overcoming addictions; clarifying career goals; and strengthening ministries and businesses. Mark regular works with pastors and also coaches and trains churches.
Life Skills Coaching helps people identify life goals to overcome problems and to create the kind of life they dream about. It is a better alternative than counseling for most people, because it directly teaches people the life skills they need without talk therapy or detailed examinations of their pasts. Unlike counseling, a medical therapy, which focuses on mental illnesses and their treatment, life coaching focuses on the future the person wants to have and how to get their.
Please call Mark with questions and to discuss your particular situation. The first session is free. He works by phone with people anywhere, and in his Eaton, Ohio office.
History
Established in 2005.
Mark Gardner founded Gardner Coaching in order to expand his personal life skills coaching ministry to people across the U.S., and to begin training pastors and churches.
He began with a website, office in his home, and working by phone with people all over. He has had clients from New England to the South.
Today, he continues his work with individuals, couples, and pastors, and also focuses on building churches through use of Jesus’ disciple making method. He has served Eaton and Preble County, Ohio for most of his 30+ years in professional ministries.
Prior to starting this professional ministry, Mark worked as an inner city social worker, spent over 13 years in private and community practice as a Christian psychotherapist and addictions counselor, and served 20 years full and part-time pastoring several churches. He is a former U.S. Naval Officer. Mark has a B.A. in psychology and a masters degree in ministry, and is an ordained minister.
